Today's order was a Kraut Dog, upgraded to an all beef hot dog on a pretzel bun and jalapeño poppers. The Kraut Dog was best in class with super crunchy kraut and just the right amount of mustard a the bun which had just the right balance between softness and a good chew. The Jalapeño Poppers were the perfect size and spiciness. My husband also commented favorably on the fries. read more

I open yelp seeking a fast food rendezvous and what pops up the usual suspects. I scroll down and what do I see? Wienerschnitzel! Instantly I am transported back to my youth in San Jose, CA to movie night at the Winchester Drive Inn with my mom. Me dressed in my pj's for a double feature. You're asking yourself why is he sharing this? Because before the movie we would go to Der Wienerschintzel which was a red shingled A frame building with a drive through and a walk up window. Back then (the 70's) when places actually made everything onsite and cooked it when it was ordered. It was a great hot dog! Now back to the review of this place with the one start review from me the old guy trying relive the joys of a great chili dog. They used to cook the hotdogs on a flat griddle and steam the buns. Tonight I witnessed the cook pulling three dog out of the fridge and putting them in a microwave. Who knows if there was even a plate to set them on. The bun was stale the hotdog was lukewarm and even the famous chili that is probably in a plastic back and heated up in boiling water did not taste good. I ordered a corn dog which was over saturated with oil like an oily donut. The chili fries were bad two. Even the coke was flat-ish. Oh and ordering with AI was a real treat. Two employees doing their time punching the clock with no pride in what they do! So this is a big jumping up and down hey you don't go! Heck the McDonald's across the street would have tasted better and that's saying a lot. read more

We love Wienerschnitzel's chili dogs! Totally delicious!!! The fries are always served piping hot and plenty come in an order. A medium drink is the size of most other restaruants' large. The people at the counter are always friendly. My only complaint is that we don't have one in Fayetteville where we live but we will gladly make the trip to Springdale to get our Wienerschintzel fix! read more

First time to the restaurant. I would think it was an opportunity to have a unique food experience considering the business name. Turns out I could pretty much order the same thing from Sonic. The food quality was POOR! My burger patty had obviously been pre-cooked. The toppings, dried onions and jalapenos were extremely dry and stale as if they had been sitting for some time. Wife's corn dog tasted like it could have come from Wal-mart frozen department. Nothing about our meal was good. First and last time going there. It was not a good experience. I was excited to try this place they always have a special on food such as 5 chili dogs for 8.99. So I figured I'd try 1 first with the chili cheese fries. The food was good n hot but just a lil too salty for my taste. Now there corn dogs are very good I can't wait to come back just for them. read more
