I flew into Chicago to pick up my truck. The driver picked me up was extremely nice person (Gary). We arrived at the dealership and the truck at glimpse was beautiful. I walked in and met Jason the sales manager and he said Steven will handle me sales transaction. Everything was going good until I was told by Jason that they need to collect the registration fees on top of the negotiated price. Jason said I told him I was paying cash for the whole transaction which was inaccurate. Fast forward we figured that out but the truck wasn't detailed and filled up as it was stated to me it would be, red flag in hindsight. I had to ask to fill it up as it's standard when buying a new or used vehicle. I drove 6 hours home and the truck was fantastic. Upon inspecting the vehicle when I got home there was a considerable dent and touch on the bumper that was never disclosed. I texted Jason back today and his response was deferring everything to GM and claims the touch was printed on the originally posting of the vehicle but not disclosed. This dealership service is terrible. I wouldn't recommend anyone purchasing a vehicle from them.You'll thank me later. Went to Wiers shopping for my daughter's first car. Purchased a 2015 Kia Soul. $7,000 cash down. Small balance financed. Due to some confusion between the dealership and the finance company Capital One, was asked to return vehicle. Returned vehicle upon request. Was accused of trying to steal vehicle, even though vehicle was returned and Wiers had my $7,000. If you want to be called a liar and insulted when you call them on it and provide proof you are not lying only to have them then change their story to fit their narrative, by all means please shop at Wiers. Amazing dealership! I bought a car from here a few months ago. I drove from Chicago after being treated terribly at quite a few dealerships in Chicago, surrounding suburbs and northwest Indiana. The entire experience was nice, almost enjoyable. Today was my first experience with the service department for an oil change that was included in my purchase and they were also extremely nice. I went into Wiers approximately six weeks ago to look at a Chevy Equinox. Prior to going there I filled out the KBB instant cash offer on the Wiers website. Within minutes I received an email that my offer was $32,500. When I got to Wiers the used car manager looked at my vehicle (which only had 1,500 miles on it) and said he would only give $23,000 on the trade. He said he not care what the market value was and would only pay substantially less than the original sticker. I had been to Carmax which had offered me $34,000 and two other car dealers which had offered me $32,000 dollars on a trade. The Ford Maverick I had was a high demand vehicle with limited availability. They were selling on used car lots for $38,000 to $40,000. The salesman Josh Talaski was condescending and dismissive and told me to go to another dealer. This may be a place to buy a car, but certainly not to trade one. I called the manager of Kelly Blue Book and they said they could not understand the vast difference between their offer and Wiers. It is interesting that the used car manager is also a minister, but is only ethical on Sundays. I ended up going to a dealer in Knox, Indiana where they gave me $32,000 for my truck. They sold it for $38,000. It was a win win for both of us, and was also treated with extreme respect. read more

My husband traded my car in and I did not sign anything for the dealership to allow this transaction to happen. They tried telling me that I was not a co-signer on the trade in and that I was also not on the loan or title. I proved them wrong on all of that. I then tried to give them their vehicle back twice and get my truck back that they are trying to use as a trade in. They keep refusing to give the truck back to me. Later that day Josh Talaski called me and was DEMANDING that I come there right now and sign the Power of Attorney paper or big problems were going to happen for me and my family. I felt very uncomfortable and threatened by him. As a woman that was very scary words to be said to me for something they severely messed up on. I have lawyers that are now unfortunately going to have to deal with all this. I was so nice to these people and just wanted my car back. I called back to speak to the general manager Brent and he treated me the same way and is also refusing to return my vehicle to me. He was doing his best to manipulate and strong arm me also. I would never recommend anyone to Weirs in Demotte! Especially women. I am floored at the way those two decided to use scare tactics to try and cover up their mess instead of being kind and professional. I couldn't be more disappointed with my experience there. read more

I had an ABS light flashing on my auto. This issue occurred in early 2021 and I took it to Wiers for repair and they conducted a diagnosis test and repaired the issue. The diagnosis fees were put towards the repair cost. In late 2021 light came on again. I only drove the car approximately 1,000 miles. I put car in storage and planned on taking car back to Wiers in 2022 when I got car out of storage. Granted this car is a year 2000 and only has 22,000 miles. I took the car back in this October 2022 prior to putting it back into storage for the winter months. And once again had a diagnostic performed on the vehicle. Wiers informed that it was a different code but was associated with the ABS light. I asked to have it repaired. Wiers informed me that the part was no longer available and they could not fix the ABS light issue but would still be charging me the diagonstic fee. I had two other repairs that were noticed during the 14 point inspection conducted this visit. Engine belts and rear end seal. I ask if they could apply the portion of the diagnostic fee towards the rear end seal and the belt replacement. The service technician I spoke with said no. This diagnostic fee can only be applied to the ABS issue that we cannot repair. I said OK, I'll be there Saturday to pick up car. When I got there on Saturday I paid the diagnostic fees and went out to car to drive home. Car would not start. I went back inside and spoke with service technician and showed him my 14 point inspection report where supposedly the Battery was checked during the 14 point inspection. The inspection report stated nothing wrong with the Battery. I called my ride to come back and get me then asked for the owners contact information. I call the owner on Monday and explained my concerns with his operations. At this point I did not have any confidence in his facilities skills in automotive repair. 1. Couldn't make the ABS repair. 2. 14 point inspection said battery was good. When I went to pick up car would not start. 3. Not transferring diagnostic fee to other repairs. 4. Did they fix the right issue the first time they repaired the ABS light issue in 2021? He stated that technician did not do the battery check per Standard Operating procedures because it would of taken to long so since the car started technician assumed that battery was good. Also he said he would not apply any diagnostic charges to my car repairs that were needed. Then he asked me "why there were jumper cables in my car"? I responded "I keep jumper cables in all my cars". He was avoiding the fact that his technicians did not complete the battery check per policy. This was a very disturbing conversation. I ended it with i'll be there this Friday to pick up car. On Friday I picked up car and put it back in storage. Make sure to ask question when you go to Wiers to have your car looked at. I spent quite a bit of money and time and all I got were excuses and grief. Looking back I have no confidence that the car was repaired correctly the first visit in 2021. Especially after cutting corners on the 14 point inspection. Customer service and the car technicians definitely need to be coached as well as the owner. I left him with this "Penny wise Pound foolish". I have three Chevys and will never buy one again. read more

Absolutely the best car shopping experience I have had!!! I was coming from Illinois to Indiana to look at a 2018 Traverse LT I saw online. My salesman Joshua Talaski informed me the vehicle was still available before I left to make the drive and when I arrived. This is a no haggle dealer the price you see is the price you get. I have to say this was the lowest price I have seen on a loaded Certified Traverse LT with low miles. The whole process took 2 hours from when We arrived to signing the papers and I was off with my SUV. The staff is friendly and you don't feel pressured at all to buy a car if you can't afford it. In my 30+ years of purchasing vehicles of many different makes/models and from various dealerships, I have never been treated so poorly as by salesperson Josh Talaski at Wiers. He was the most rude, disrespectful and condescending person I've ever dealt with. He is probably 30 years younger than me but he talked to me as if I was a kindergartner and I knew absolutely nothing. Maybe it was because I was a female looking to purchase a pickup truck?? I have no idea why but he was literally so mean to me out of nowhere. I was just looking to buy a truck, not sure what his issue was. Flat out told me he "could care less if I buy a car from them or not", and this was about 5 minutes after meeting him and before I even test drove the car. Very interesting sales tactics he has, for sure. After an offer was given for my trade in, I emailed him the next day asking if they could get closer to KBB trade in value of my car. Josh replied asking what I was wanting for the car and that they wanted to work with me to get the deal done so he would look at it and get back to me. He called me awhile later saying they couldn't come up on price at all and he just completely went off on me. I have never seen someone be so rude for no reason, especially when you are a salesman and trying to earn someone's business. I called my husband at work and told him he needs to find another truck because I wouldn't buy a car from Josh or that dealership if it was FREE. Seriously. My husband called and spoke to the sales manager to no avail, he really seemed uninterested in what happened and had no solution for our issue with Josh or the way he treated me, other than he would handle the sale for us if we decide to buy. Lucky for us, the next day my son found an even better truck at Bosak in Burns Harbor. It had many upgrades and the excellent customer service from the salesman and sales managers at Bosak made me happy to spend more money on our vehicle to get what we wanted and they made the buying process so stress free it was actually fun. I Purchased a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado and was told by salesman John Mercer it had remote start. Then I was given key fob with remote start. When I was leaving the dealership I asked John Mercer how to use remote start. He said he couldn't get it to work? I had already paid for the vehicle and I left to meet my family for lunch. I called back and was told the truck didn't have remote start. John told me he would talk to his manager about the situation. I called back to speak with manager Don Vanderwall. Don told me that John never told me it had remote start. I asked Don Vanderwall if John Mercer was an honest person? Don Vanderwall responded Yes. I then asked him to walk across the dealership and ask John Mercer if he told me it had remote start. He refused! I told him I have printed advertisement from them stating it had remote start. Don Vanderwall said he didn't care what the advertising said! I asked manager Don Vanderwall what he would do to remedy the situation? His response....nothing. It was time for regular service (oil, tire rotation, DEF fill, etc.) and also time to have a detail done (I have the truck detailed twice a year). So, I schedule the service and detail job online (super easy) and Ken from service called me to confirm the appointment and services needed. When I arrived for the appointment, Kyle processed the paperwork for the service, detailing and a loaner vehicle. Kyle was super friendly and very professional, and when Ken arrived shortly thereafter he to was very friendly and professional. Kyle then walked me over to meet with Kimberly who was going to set me up with a loaner car. She asked what I was bringing in, and without me even asking set me up with a TRUCK instead of a car. Running my errands was SO much easier than I thought it was going to be with that simple consideration on her part, and again... Kimberly was friendly, and professional every step of the the way. The truck was serviced perfectly, the detail job was OUTSTANDING with every spot covered. The costs for everything were right on target with any other service center. Beyond all that though are the folks that work there. EVERY SINGLE PERSON I spoke with... right down to the cashiers office staff where friendly, courteous, professional and an absolute pleasure to work with. I won't hesitate to take my baby (my truck) back there any time as I'm 100% sure it will be cared for properly, and more important I will be cared for as a client. read more

If I could do a zero rating I would. Worst place to buy a vehicle. The salesman I bought my vehicle from lied to me about the extended warranty coverage. Now I am paying a deductible when I have never paid a deductible with the cost of the insurance. Also, there was a defect with my trunk latch within the first couple months. I took it to the same dealer to repair it and they failed. It was still having the same problems. It took three times to fix it. This is a Dream Cadillac Escalade !!!!                                                  Husband  and I were searching for a vehicles on cargurus. Saw a vehicle that really got our eye. The problem was that we are from Texas and these vehicle was in Demotte Indiana. Even though it was far we decided to email them to see if it was available and what we could do to get these vehicle. In within minutes this guy named Joe responded my email (by the way very friendly). When I told him that was the only vehicle that caught my eye and liked. He moved really quickly with the process. He would call every day to give me updates on it. Then within a few days he calls and tells me Congratulations on your new purchase. My husband flew from Texas to Indianapolis and they send one of their workers to pick him up from the airport. I have 2014 Silverado. I bought new here. I have had all servicing done here at Wiers. I bought all the extended warrantees. At first the service dept. was great for a while then it started to tank. I was not getting what I paid for. They did not check to see I had the extra coverage. I went in about two weeks ago with a tail gate problem. Again they had new people that had no clue what they where doing. I told them I bought extra bumper to bumper coverage. they said I did not. $115. what I was charged again I was told I did not have the coverage by the new kid at the desk. They ordered the wrong part wasted more of my time. I had enough. I found the GM Brent. He looked it up I had the extra coverage with a $50 deductible. He waved the $50 and promised me a car wash better then I would ever get anywhere else and all the salesman BS. I went back a couple days later they put the right part on and My truck never saw a wash. I guess that was another one there poor service promises. I have decided it will be the last time I ever buy anything there. I am going to another dealer for future service. Take you paper work with you or you will be cheated. read more

Went in for front end alignment, they told me some parts were bad so husband replaced all the bad ones and went back for alignment. (there were some damaged parts that weren't mentioned that caused alignment to not be correct) Which caused damage to newly replaced parts and additional parts. Took it to sears they showed us right away what the problem was and husband corrected the problem along with replacing the damaged parts resulting in an additional $300 in repairs. Husband confronted weirs on the poor service and the outcome was there was nothing they could do for us, along with a certified mechanic that did the work originally standing behind the guy saying everything was ok. What a joke of a place. Never going here again and definitely spreading the word on their crappy service! read more

I had trusted this dealership since I had lost my husband two years ago. They had rotated my tires as I had requested. The problem is when I got a flat tire I couldn't get the tire off for it was put on too tight. A gentleman tried helping and stated one of the lugs nuts was cross threaded. All I know is that I had to get my car towed due to this flat tire and all I had asked was a refund to the tow bill. If the tire was installed right anyone should have been able to change that tire. I bought a Truck there about a month ago. Overall excellent experience with absolutely no pressure. Salesman ( Wayne ) was extremely courteous and let me take my time and tried to answer any questions that I had about the truck. I spoke with him the evening before & set up an appointment to look at a specific truck. He contacted me about 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment to verify we were coming. Upon arrival he had the truck up front and ready for me to check out and test drive. By far the best experience I have had at any car dealer. We agreed on the price and terms and was out of there in a very timely manner. Me being from in the neighboring state, they handled all of the proper transfers title and taxes so all I had to do was register with the DMV in my state and get plates. The only thing that I did not get was the fuel tank filled that we verbally agreed on but I I'm not going to make a big deal over $45. Overall great experience and would highly recommend this dealership. I have had the truck for about a month now and so far all has been good. read more

I purchased a brand new 2012 Equinox from then in September. I have had several electrical problems with the car. I understand that sometimes things brake and I'm very understanding of that, even though it's really frustrating. I have brought the car to them now 3 times, and had to have it towed from my house once (because it wouldn't start.) They can't fix my vehicle, they keep saying that they can't find anything wrong with it. It's obvious that there is an electrical short in it somewhere, but they will not do anything to fix it besides tell me that it's not working. The service manager is very rude and does nothing to help ease the situation or ensure that it is resolved. I will never purchase another vehicle from them nor will I ever service my vehicle there again, with any expense to me. I would encourage everyone who reads this to do the same. read more

I went in with my husband to trade in our vehicle for a truck. I told the salesman that I already had financing in place. They wouldn't work with us on the trade in value, so I said if they would offer me more for the trade in, I would let them run my credit. Well, they knew they couldn't give me more on my trade in, but they ran my credit anyway even though I told him THREE TIMES not to run it until they came back to me with a better trade in offer. I now have 7 hard hits on my credit, and the salesman wouldn't even shake my hand or look me in the eye after the deal was done. We purchased the truck and I stuck with the financing that I had originally set up before I set foot in their sales room. We never received a follow up call asking how we liked the truck or anything. He knew what he did was wrong, and I will not be going back or referring. It's shady dealings like this that give car salesmen a bad name. read more
