When I asked why the bill was so high, the answer was an epic insult to my intelligence: Two guys were working to replace the alternator. When I checked the alternator prices at various online sellers, the most expensive was $250. Adding that to ~$20 belt + 2 hours of labor (1 hour of labor was $125) + $80 belt replacement = total max $600+tax! Total ripoff and dishonesty!

Rumble noise at high speed…read more Called another shop who said it was probably front end wheel bearings but couldn't get the car in for a week so I had decided to have Scotts, you save look at it and he told me it wasn't the bearings or CV joints, but the tires were cupped and we just had them rotated from the rear a few days ago We decided to do an alignment since I never had it done before, and it was out a little bit which they fixed. So they saved me a ton of money, by not replacing the wheel bearings and being hotness in straightforward with me. Definitely recommend their business.

Sit down and grab some popcorn because we're about to spill some tea. Today is 8/23/2023. A family member of mine was having many troubles with their car, and was recommended by a friend to take it to C&C Auto Repair (said friend personally knew the owner of this shop). For the record: we'd had this car looked at and minor issues fixed by multiple mechanical friends. My family member had their car towed to this auto shop on 7/3/2023. The car sat in their lot for 2 weeks - without a call/email update from the shop to car owner - before the owner of the car called the shop to check in on their vehicle. The service writer at the shop briefly explained that the mechanics "have seen and diagnosed the car". Rightfully so, the owner of the vehicle was confused as to why no one had contacted them for an update to let them know the next steps. The service writer said they were going to order a part, and call with an update once it was received and the work was going to be started. Another week passes by - no call from the shop. The owner of the vehicle called and asked for an update. Apparently, they had "just gotten in the part and were waiting on a 'big job' to finish up before they were to start on their vehicle which was 'immediately next". Another week goes by, no update from the shop. Once again, the owner of the vehicle called and asked if they'd started on the repair yet. The service writer continued to give my family member the run-around, saying "we hope to get to it by the weekend". The weekend would pass, the owner would call again for an update the following Monday or Tuesday, to which the service writer would say "we hope to get it to this week" etc etc. This continued for an additional 3 weeks, each time the service writer promising the owner a call for an update, to which the owner was never contacted. The owner of the vehicle called for updates each time they ever spoke with the auto shop. Not once did my family member get a straight answer to anything, or get the chance to speak with the owner of the shop. A quick note to add: my family member relies on their car for their job. During this time, they've had to borrow multiple family members cars just to get to and from work. The customer service and decency C&C provided was next level UNPROFESSIONAL, and in my opinion, should be reprimanded for. My next step is to call the better business bureau to file a complaint. What a phenomenal experience! THIS is what buying a car should be like…read more Last Saturday we went to a different Hyundai dealership, ready to buy a car. The salesman was nice, we had a tentative agreement - depending on whether or not they could get what we wanted. Not only couldn't they get it, but their manager also retracted a different offer that they had made. It left us out both time and money for simply having attempted to shop with them. Yesterday, we called Webb Hyundai and spoke with Cliff. We knew the exact car that we wanted, if they still had it, and he quickly confirmed it. We talked about price and ended up with what we feel is a very fair deal. We drove 2 and a half hours one way, to go buy a car... and it was well worth it. Knowing that we had a long drive back and forth, Cliff and the rest worked with us in route to get as much of the paperwork prepped as possible. Sure, they valued our business, but they also valued our TIME. The manager at the other dealership in Ft Wayne? Not so much. We arrived to find the car freshly detailed, gassed up, and sheltered out of the rain to keep it as nice as possible for us. The transaction was a breeze and Rob, their finance guy, was informative and lent us the benefit of his 17 years with Hyundai with suggestions on what paperwork to keep where, and how to best move forward if there are any warranty questions. I spent ** 5 hours ** driving back and forth to and from Merrillville last night and it was worth it. The folks at Webb are the sorts of folks you want to deal with, from the top all the way down. Not all dealerships can make that claim. So, if you get the runaround someplace else? Or simply want to skip the runaround altogether? Make the drive to Webb Hyundai, ask for Cliff, and he'll see that everything goes smoothly.
