I dropped off my German Shepherd and not even 10 minutes later they told me I needed to come pick him up, which was funny because he had been to the groomer many times before with no issues but after moving, I needed to find a new one. So after doing tons of research, I found another place nearby with great reviews and what would you know they had no issue with my dog at all. The issue was not my dog. It was their groomers. Not to mention the passive aggressive comment they made when I was picking him up, asking if "he let me brush him at home". He lets everyone brush him and loves to be brushed, but he also is a good judge of character and maybe that was the issue. I started to talk to him and he told me about his school and what he does. We decided to sign our Giant Schnauzer Fenway up for school and he's been going for a few months now. We though Fae had run away, I texted Kim, and Kim immediately let all the dog walkers who work for her know (Fae was under my Mom's bed). Kim's a great source of knowledge about dogs, and she is an amazing business person, on time, clear communicator, responsive to customers. The facility is clean and spacious, the van is immaculate. I don't think Dr. Mertz (who seemed very kind) listened to me when I brought my bird in, and described his issues. ... I brought my bird in because he was sick. I told the Dr. it was eating day and night, up all the time, and had the runs. ...losing weight. He prescribed a broad spectrum antibiotic although he didn't see anything alarming under the scope. 2 days later my bird died. I mentioned the eating non-stop again, and he THEN said, "oh, it was probably diabetes, and I couldn't have done anything anyhow" . Well...if he listened, he wouldn't have gone with antibiotics 2 days earlier. and there is treatment for diabetic birds. so,...I said goodbye, and buried my beautiful boy.
