Do not under any circumstance bring your dog to this place. I did a lot of research before…read morebringing my dog here, I saw all the website pictures showing dogs that looked happy and well cared for, I had friends who raved about the place. I also had friends that sternly warned me to stay away, they spoke about how their dogs were abused by staff and suffered serious injuries in dog fights, and how the owner took no responsibility and always blamed the dog. I wish I had listened to those friends. My dog attended for about a month, no issues. I went to pick up my dog one afternoon and was told by a young female employee that there was "an incident " and that the owner needed to speak to me. The owner, Laurie Wagner, came out and said again " there was an incident ", I was panicked, asked if my dog was ok, she sarcastically responded "yah, YOUR dog is fine". She brought me in to an office to a computer and spent a very long time trying to load up a video, I am standing there again panicked and kept asking "is everything ok?", she fumbled with the computer and basically told me to relax.I just wanted to see to my dog. She showed me a video from that day. An employee entered in to the dog area from a 1/2 door, multiple dogs swarmed her, she was patting them, my dog approached her in the crowd and another dog (who I later found out was this employee's dog)snapped at my dog, my dog did not react and just stayed there seeking the same attention as the other dozen or so dogs, the employee's dog again became aggressive with my dog. At that point the employee grabbed my dog violently by the collar, lifting her off the ground, her front legs in the air and drug her off camera. The employee plowed through the dogs in the crowd, dragging my dog while her dog was following, snapping at my dog's rear end.. my heart fell into my stomach when I saw this. Laurie Wagner said my dog was "like a person that no one wants to show up at their party". She said my dog clearly does not respect other dog's boundaries. HELLO! my dog was not aggressive, acting out in any manner, she was not even hyper, interacting with the other dog, just happened to be next to it, she just stood there, she was in a crowd of other dogs seeking attention, she did nothing wrong. She was targeted by another dog. She said my dog needed intense training, she asked if I had children and suggested I was putting them at risk with my dog!!wtf!## she then talked about her training programs and said my dog would not be welcome back until she successfully completes training by Doggie Fun... I was in a daze, just wanted to get my dog. While driving home, I could smell urine, when I got home, I noticed my dog was damp with urine on her paws, undercarriage, under her muzzle, I was perplexed how it happened. Several weeks laters, I by chance ran into that young female employee(who said she quit after just a short time bc she could not stand the dog abuse) she told me she remembered the incident, and that it was not uncommon. She said my dog was put in to a filthy tiny cage, too small for her to even turn around, as punishment and just left there for hours, the urine smell mystery was solved, she had laid in her own pee. She told me the employee who violently handled my dog is now the new owner, an older woman with blondish hair. Stay away from this place at all costs, they abuse dogs, don't believe the pictures. Thankfully other than urine burns, my dog showed no signs of physical or emotional abuse. She is resilient and happy go lucky and thankfully has no effects from the abuse she suffered at Doggie Fun & Fitness. I am glad the "incident" happened, they saw it as an opportunity to sell a training package, but thankfully it turned out to be an exposure, window into an abusive environment. If Doggie Fun &Fitness didn't call my dog out I would have never known about how horrible they are, my dog would probably still be there, being abused, mistreated like the rest of the dogs.

My male Shihtzu Augie has been fired by 5-6 groomers, maybe more. He's sooo bad! He HATES groomers! I have To tranquilizer him for all other groomers and we still get fired! Augie has been a serious challenge so we know why he landed in rescue. We drive over an hour just for Joe as we are 30 mins north of Boston but Joe is worth it!! Joe doesn't know it but we've been fired by yet another north shore groomer just yesterday ‍ so it's back to Joes!

I highly recommend Om Obedience and would encourage anyone to sign their dog up for their classes and lessons! I first started working with Om Obedience in the summer of 2020 when I adopted a pandemic puppy, Delilah. Michaela and Maddie helped work with her as she grew up and went through over energetic periods and fear periods. We stayed consistent with the classes through adolescence and not only did Delilah LOVE THEM, but we also always saw improvements and learned a lot. We then worked with Michaela on private lessons before welcoming a human baby. Michaela helped desensitize Delilah to the baby noises and toys, practiced stroller walks, gave us so many tips and tricks to safely have baby and dog coexist, and was incredibly patient and persistent with getting Delilah to jump in the car and go up and down our basement stairs (two things we couldn't get her to do in the 2+ years we had Delilah). When the baby arrived, we felt so prepared with Delilah and Delilah has been great at being a big sister and isn't anxious at all with the change.. which if you know Delilah, that is incredible!

I met Michaela before Om when I was looking for training for my first dog, my 2 year old corgi/dachshund who wasn't a fan of dogs, and quite honestly, didn't consider himself to even be a dog. Ozzie was a fantastic dog, and Michaela helped him realize that potential! Fast forward a few years when I ended up with a 1-2 year old pittbull/mastiff who was all dog. Big dog. Strong dog. Loud dog. Stubborn dog. I was frantically searching for Michaela and couldn't find her, until I stumbled upon the Om Obedience raffle package at the Yogathon. I put all my tickets into this raffle, and didn't win, but I ended up a winner because I was reconnected with Michaela and was at the very beginning of my most rewarding dog journey (so far!) Overwhelmed, but determined not to give up on Taz, I began a lifelong commitment to training my dog(s). Many (many) classes and pack walks later, Taz earned his Canine Good Citizen certification and even made it to Advanced Canine Good Citizen: accomplishments I never thought we'd see. Taz changed me in so many amazing, positive ways, and I never would have seen that growth in myself if I hadn't had the support and commitment of Michaela and Om Obedience. When I decided to get a puppy (I always said I'd NEVER get a puppy), Om was my first call! Knowing I knew nothing about puppies, I booked myself a training session before I even met Onyx. Michaela laid out the basics and prepared me for my baby piranha (and the how-tos on housetraining!) I was very pleased to have a plan in place for my very first puppy, and a plan for introducing him to my now senior dog Taz, and maintaining a peaceful home throughout this transition. Onyx came home and we spent a few weeks bonding and doing all the things Michaela recommended, and then we started classes! I was so excited to start this new chapter with my puppy :) Onyx started puppy preschool with Maddie, and continued on to elementary with his new bff. Maddie is a great addition to the Om team, and to my life as well! To date, Onyx has completed MANY Om Obedience classes with Maddie and Michaela and has attended countless pack walks. He gets complements on his stellar behavior everywhere we go! I couldn't be more proud of my baby boy. And now Onyx is the best big brother ever to his human sister Hazel. Once again, Michaela was my first call when I found out I was pregnant, and I booked a few in home training sessions before the baby came to prepare Taz and Onyx for her arrival. Sadly, Taz crossed the rainbow bridge before Hazel's arrival. Luckily, Taz and Michaela did an amazing job preparing Onyx for his big brother role and he has been great throughout these life changing transitions. We made it through the 4th trimester, the 3 am feedings, the waiting for mom to finish feeding baby before she lets Onyx out to pee.. We've perfected the baby/puppy walk with the stroller or baby carrier. We've gone on some pretty awesome family nature walks. We excel at relaxing on the couch and sharing space! Right now we are working through the transition of Mom going back to work and using all of our tools in our toolbox: dog walkers, doggie daycare, baby/daddy/Onyx walks, playtime with the neighbor dog friends. Up next is another round of intermediate training for Onyx, with Mom wearing a Hazel! Our family 5 year plan is to add another Rottweiler to our pack, and you know who's going to be the first to know when that happens ;)

I originally reached out to Atlantic K9 Training because my one-year-old Cane Corso/Pittie mix,…read moreBrinley, was getting a little too strong for me to handle. She's incredibly sweet and submissive with other dogs, but she loved to jump on people and had a habit of pulling hard on the leash during walks. At 60 pounds, it was definitely a lot to manage! From the start, Kylie and the Atlantic K9 team were amazing--professional, knowledgeable, and so caring. Brinley attended their two-week bootcamp, and I'll admit, it was hard sending her away for that long with no visits. I was worried she might feel abandoned, but Atlantic K9 made the experience so much easier. They uploaded pictures every day of her playing with other dogs, looking happy and confident, with a smile bigger than I've ever seen on her. It was clear she was having the time of her life--more like a fun vacation than "training camp." When Brinley came home, the transformation was incredible. She has great recall, walks beautifully on leash, and I can now even let her walk off-leash with full confidence. She's learned to stay in her "place," respond to "no" consistently, and--best of all--she no longer jumps on people! I'm so grateful to Kylie and the entire Atlantic K9 team for their compassion, communication, and the amazing results they delivered. Brinley is happier, calmer, and more connected to me than ever. I can't recommend Atlantic K9 Training enough!

We reached out the Atlantic at a complete loss of how to help our sweet Ollie boy succeed. They were nothing but kind, communicative and supportive during our initial conversations, and put us completely at ease about sending our boy to the two-week bootcamp, a choice that was incredibly hard for us! Ollie is a five year old Australian Shepherd/Poodle mix who went to training pre-pandemic and has always been incredibly shy with strangers. Before 2020, this manifested as leash reactivity and we were working hard at it when social distancing went into place. Post-pandemic, we tried every method we could find to try and help him with this, but despite all efforts, his reactivity increased tenfold to include dogs and small children. Sometimes he would he completely fine, and other times, he would aggressively bark and lunge at dogs and kids. It was so stressful that we started keeping him away from other dogs, and our small nieces and nephews to be safe. Ollie's alert barking additionally reached an all time high in the summer of 2023, and his counter-surfing was out of control. We decided it was officially time to get professional help. My husband and I want to start a family soon, and were terrified to think that Ollie's unpredictability could jeopardize his relationship with our future kids. His alert barking was creating a near-constant level of stress in our home, and we couldn't imagine how Ollie would be able to function happily or be involved as our family continues to grow. Throughout the two weeks of bootcamp, we got daily communication about Ollie's progress from the team and pictures of him playing happily during break times. Most importantly, however, K-9 Atlantic has completely transformed our boy, and given us the utmost confidence that Ollie will be the BEST big brother someday. He is literally like a different dog in all of the best ways. He's still our sweet, snuggly, silly boy, but without all of the incessant barking and sneakiness! His reactivity is now basically nonexistent, and he happily plays with our little nieces and nephews when they come over! He is a rockstar on and off-leash. We've even slowly integrated meeting new dogs in controlled settings, and he has been so very successful. He hasn't even counter surfed (despite us purposely leaving chicken on the counter in his reach in order to practice!!!!). Ollie's newfound confidence shines in his ability to meet new people and have experiences without all of the anxiety that he displayed prior to his time at K-9 Atlantic. He is the best version of himself, and we are so beyond proud of the good boy his has become!!! I don't know what magic the K-9 Atlantic team did with him while he was training, but we cannot believe that he is the same dog. He has been SO good, and an absolute angel while practicing. We are beyond grateful for everyone at Atlantic for truly transforming our boy and our lives. We can never thank you enough!
