She also didn't seem to know more than I did about the effects of various antidepressants and anti-anxiety meds for pregnant women.

Most importantly, my doctor, Dr. Kapnadak, was great--compassionate, pragmatic, and approachable. I was in good hands during my time there.

If you're trying to get an appointment be prepared to wait. Calling the office feels like trying to get into a country club where you're not on the list, and they definitely want you to know it. Every interaction is coated in entitlement and condescension, like they're doing you a favor by letting you seek medical care. Case in point: I was 16 minutes late due to a car accident that was right in front of me and called ahead to let them know. Their grace period is 15 minutes and I was met with cold stares and a turned-away appointment. I can't speak to the care because I can't get past the velvet rope. If you value compassion, empathy, or even just basic decency at the front desk, maybe look elsewhere. Or at least mentally prepare for a Hunger Games-style battle just to get in the door.

I was referred to Dr. de la Torre by friends and couldn't have been more happy with her care. She answered my long lists of first-time mama questions expertly and patiently; I felt like I could talk to her about everything! She also engaged my husband, so he never felt like an outsider. We always felt respected when seeing her and our visits were never rushed. I even looked forward to them! The most pivotal moment in my son's life came when, in my last week of pregnancy, Dr. de la Torre decided to do one last ultrasound. It isn't common, but she just felt like she wanted to have another peek at the baby. At that ultrasound, we discovered a cyst in my son's brain that required monitoring -- and ultimately, neurosurgery when he was six months old. Perhaps it was a fluke that she ordered the ultrasound at that point, or perhaps she was amazingly attuned. In any case, it saved my baby from a stroke, seizure and/or brain damage -- which our doctors said would've likely occurred without intervention. Needless to say, we are profoundly grateful. My son is fine now, and Dr. de la Torre always asks for updates -- her interest and caring continuing long past the point of his birth. I look forward to sharing lots of news in the years and decades to come -- because as long as she's practicing, I will be her patient.

She was very professional, on time, easy to talk to, very knowledgeable and made me feel at ease. She did not rush, took time to talk and honestly I've never felt so comfortable taking to a doctor about symptoms or concerns however minor they may be. And to add to that the pap smear and exam were the least uncomfortable I've had in a long time. I would feel very comfortable recommending her to others and to have her being my doctor when i got pregnant. I actually felt confident in her and am glad i can trust her with any health issues if they should arise. This is important as i usually am in great health but did have a minor issue earlier and visited a few doctors, none of whom inspired the same confidence. Totally unrelated, but if it matters to you, i am glad shes not very old, so i know she will be around for all my pregnancies and baby visits! Her assistant Megan(?) was also sweet,very friendly and unobtrusive. The front office staff were friendly and efficient, i didn't have to wait long to finish paperwork and be taken inside. Parking in the building was 6$ for a little over one hour. Not sure if they validate though. i forgot to ask.

They really need to get this in order - it just shows they are terrible with time management and scheduling. Overall an OK practice, but worth doing research if you have a tight schedule and need more flexibility than the rigidity of this one that has basically little to no flexibility and the patients always get screwed on this problem.

From the beginning, she was kind and upfront. She remained honest and to the point. But still was able to act like a human being, something I see so little of in the medical world. Especially people as talented and sought after as Kelley. She really helped us through the difficult patches and ultimately at the delivery, knowing she was there and in charge helped put me at ease. I really hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I have to finally write a review about my…read moreexperience with Dr. Hanrahan. When I still lived in Seattle, I had amazing insurance through Blue Cross. I found Dr. Hanrahan through here, of all places, read the reviews and watched her personal video on the Minor and James site. I had a good initial feeling and went ahead and made the appt. for my annual and Pap, etc. What was interesting during my first appt. with her was the way she reacted to my age (I was 35 at the time) and that I'd had one abnormal Pap in the recent past. I appreciated the concern at the time. Warning, the following might be TMI for some, but I think that it's important to understand all of the specifics of my visit(s) so that you can be as informed as possible if you're in a similar situation. My next test with her came out abnormal and she and Nurse Alicia informed me that I had moderate to severe dysplasia. This hadn't come up in the abnormal Pap from less than a year before and my previous doctor had only said to do a follow-up within the year. Ok, not panicking yet, but then Dr. Hanrahan immediately scheduled me for a biopsy asap. Biopsy is scheduled and I'm leaning toward the freakout end. I feel that she didn't do her best to answer my questions and that I had to Google a bunch of different topics related to the biopsy, etc., especially possible complications and recovery, et al. The biopsy that I had with Dr. Hanrahan was one of the worst experiences of my life. It was painful and I felt extremely uncomfortable. But wait, there's more....unfortunately. Biopsy definitely confirms the "moderate to severe dysplasia" and she schedules me for a LEEP procedure to remove the abnormal tissue. At this point, I'm envisioning dying of cervical cancer and I didn't care for her growingly blase attitude throughout the whole thing. The other thing was that she made an odd comment about a condition that I have and said "well, you're an odd case of PCOS, as you're one of the lucky ones that aren't overweight. Wow, just wow." Quote, unquote. I'm reminded of the timing and the tone of the comment being incredibly out of place. The LEEP procedure was quick and relatively painless, so at least that went well. However, the final straws are these. I went back for a follow-up Pap and exam. The follow-up pelvic exam was the most brutal that I've ever experienced in my entire life, no joke. She also said that she couldn't "find my cervix" and fumbled around for like 5 minutes. WTF? Really? She calls me within 2 weeks, says that the cells are back and she wants another biopsy, etc. The red flags completely went up for me as I had mentioned to Nurse Alicia during my last visit that my insurance would be running out (due to job change). I didn't call her back immediately and the next message she left tried to be ominous, basically chastising me about not acknowledging the severity of the situation with needing to get in asap, etc. Hmmm. My Spidey sense was tingling. I called her back shortly thereafter and left a message explaining that my insurance would run out by such and such time and that I was very concerned about the future and I'd appreciate her guidance and advice. Guess what? NO CALL BACK. I left a similar message a few weeks later, knowing that she's very busy and hard to see and all of that and guess what? Yup. She didn't bother calling me back at all. Ever. :( I moved out of town to Portland, OR and signed off to get my records from her for my new doctor last year. She only sent PARTIAL records, nothing after the biopsy, even after repeated attempts to get the complete records. Bizarre and incomprehensible, truly. I've since switched doctors (gotta love the insurance rigamarole) and I'm concerned that she'll do a repeat performance and not send everything. Not sure what to do if that happens, just short of marching back to Seattle and demanding my records in person so they can't keep ignoring me. Yes, this is a book and TMI, but if it can help anyone out there avoid something like this happening to them, so be it. Good luck with your future care.

Dr. Kimelman came recommended from my husband's primary care doctor. We interviewed her during my…read morefirst pregnancy and liked her a lot, although, we still had concerns and reservations about the medical industrial complex and delivering at Swedish First Hill. My husband has a penchant for researching things and understanding subtle nuances which he repeatedly tested on Dr. Kimelman. She always welcomed his knowledge, understood the questions and issues thoroughly, and offered very thoughtful, sound, and research-backed answers. She impressed us with her steady, calm and graceful nature over and over. At 37 weeks, I had a very scary and unexpected development in my pregnancy and was placed on hospital bed rest. I was admitted to triage in the middle of the night while Dr. Kimelman was on a day off. I was impressed with the other doctors in her group who offered care (Dr. McKeever especially). We sought the advice of two doctors from SEA OBGYN as well as a perinatologist before ultimately deciding that we would wait another day to make any decisions AFTER hearing Dr. Kimelman's opinion. We had grown to trust her that much. During what was an incredibly stressful and scary time, Dr. Kimelman was an incredible resource and sounding board. In the end, I was lucky that she was on call over the weekend I was told I would deliver my baby. She knew that I had wanted a minimally invasive delivery, despite circumstances. And she totally delivered on helping me get just that. Instead of putting me on pitocin, she broke my water (this was also the only way she was able to get me a bed in L&D, as ruptured mebranes put me higher on the triage list). She assured me that after monitoring my contractions for 2 days she was certain my body would start labor on its own after rupturing my membranes and she was totally right. She also hand-picked a nurse who was very friendly to natural delivery. She was calm and funny (if I can even remember!) during my delivery. I felt as though I was completely in the right place, with the right doctor and luckily I delivered a healthy and beautiful baby girl! I'm now pregnant with baby #2 and, once again, nature is showing me who's boss by giving me an experience vastly different than typical. However, I feel incredibly safe and well cared for with Dr. Kimelman. Additionally, I've been pleased with all of the other doctors in her practice (Dr. McKeever (again) and Dr. Daniel, in particular) who I've been in contact with during this high-risk pregnancy. This is a great group of doctors! Remember that not everyone gets to have a straight-forward easy pregnancy and delivery. If that sounds like you and you want to make sure you're receiving top notch care, Dr. Kimelman is a great choice. Oh, and Dr. Kimelman's nurse Angie seriously rocks too!

He examined me thoroughly and found that I have a rare auto-immune disorder whic hattacks the nerves is mostly treated with steroids. Because he also has a degree in psychiatry he understood that I'm susceptible to mania from the steroids and recommended infusions instead. I use the Polyclinic's online messaging system whenever I have a question and he gets back to me right away even though it usually takes days to hear from my other practitioners. Special room in my heart for his very special right hand, Miss Katherine. She actually left her office to come visit with me during one of my infusions and I was so moved by how much she cares.... IF it wasn't for Dr Yang's thoroughness and knowledge I would still be suffering from the pain of neuropathy.

He seems to take a holistic approach, treating the whole patient and the root of the issue. I docked two stars for office staff. If you see him through the Veterans Choice Program, it seems next to impossible to get the office staff to fill out a SAR/Secondary Authorization Request so you can actually get the treatment he recommends. I've often been told I'd get a call back or that they'll work out out but then never get one. I know the VA can be slow, but I've waited months sometimes and the VA/Triwest don't even have the SAR... It is enough that I am considering switching providers even though he is an excellent doctor.

When DD wrote this review, Dr. Mohai worked in a large practice run by a large medical corporation. They would have absolutely given him an estimate. Dr. Mohai did not set the prices, the practice did. It seems that DD was confused and wrote his review about another doctor who was in private practice. I totally agree with HT. Dr. Mohai listens to you and makes you part of your care team. He likes it if you come in with your own ideas, unlike the majority of physicians, and even acknowledges when you have told him something he hasn't heard before. (I have a background in research and medicine, so I have a lot of information other people wouldn't have.) He treats not just according to tests but also to symptoms, which was great for me because my tests are always weird. He is the first rheumatologist I saw (out of about 10) who treated my symptoms and was respectful of me instead of saying, "You tested negative for this. There is nothing wrong with you.", implying my pain was psychosomatic, and ushering me out the door. Dr. Mohai essentially made it possible for me to function on a daily basis, and that definitely deserves 5 stars.

The person who called to schedule me REFUSED to give me any kind of estimate stating that she didn't know what the doctor would charge for during the visit. I work as a medical technician - I know the ins and outs of how this works and I assure you they have EVERY ability to give you SOME kind of estimate. They tell you they can't because they aren't familiar with your insurance and don't yet know how to charge everything they can (needed or not) for the visit. This is done so that they can add on every little test and measurement and you and your insurance's expense. NEVER trust a doctor that tells you he doesn't know what he charges for services - it's an extremely shady policy. They know EXACTLY how much they will charge....ergo them running behind because of an overbooked schedule...Someone needs to pay for the 5000 sq ft mansion with the Tesla parked in front.

I came here for maintenance of my PCOS/anxiety, and Dr. Senter got a blood panel which was really informative in helping us understand my current physiologic chemistry. She put me on some herbal formulas that really helped with my anxiety and I have finally been able to get my first period off birth control, which is a huge feat to accomplish! Shortly after I started going to Positive Touch, I was T-boned by a car and experienced some intense polytrauma to both my mental state as well as physical state, sustaining multiple fractures and needing multiple surgeries. Dr. Senter has been such a massive support system through all of this, taking care of all the pieces that have fallen in the wake of surgery and physical therapy. Most primarily of these methodologies has been the weekly Bowenwork I get with her. It's such a relaxing experience to go in weekly and have fascial muscle released in various areas of my neck, shoulders, back, and arms. I have had lots of muscle tension from painful but necessary physical therapy sessions, and these weekly treatments do wonders for me. As someone fascinated by alternative forms of medicine and interested in being a holistic health care provider myself, I have also learned a lot from Dr. Senter. She is kind, empathic, and intuitive and has amazing insight. I was able to learn a lot about Ayurvedic medicine and continue to learn every week that I get to interact with her. Overall, I really could not have predicted that this experience was going to be so meaningful in terms of my physical, mental, and spiritual health and growth/personal development. It was one of the best decisions I have made thus far since moving to Seattle to come to Positive Touch, and I don't know how I would have made as much progress as I have with regaining my range of motion and mental stamina without the support of the providers here. Her bedside manner is extremely warm yet professional. She listens, and does not jump to conclusions. I immediately felt comfortable with her. She suggested we do a full blood panel since my blood was being drawn anyways, and I hadn't had one done for awhile. That turned out to be extremely helpful, because my results showed I had some low levels that needed resolving. It also explained the physical issues I'd been experiencing. She takes the whole picture into consideration and gave great solutions for any issues that came up. I would absolutely recommend seeing her for any of your health needs!

I was referred to a doctor that actually practiced a block away from where I lived. When I went there, that doctor wasn't taking any new patients (I can't even remember his name now). Dr. Travis saw me that day. He's been my doctor ever since and become someone that I trust with my entire family. I've been through a lot with Dr. Travis. I know that he genuinely cares about my health and well-being. When I go to see him, I recognize that he is patient centered. He will spend as much time with me as I need, whether that is 5 minutes or 40 minutes. I respect that and often find myself in the waiting room. But that's okay. That's how I know that he gives every patient the same quality of care that he is giving me. I'm don't feel like a patient with Dr. Travis; I feel like a person. I can name countless occasions where Dr. Travis has worked to get me healthy, diagnose a condition, or make fantastic referrals to other providers. I have always appreciated his openness to different forms of treatment as I disagree with providers that move directly toward medication when it is not necessary. I've always felt that he has provided me with information to enable me to make choices about my care, while also offering his expert opinion. Whenever I see Dr. Travis, I hear about his continuing efforts to learn and grow. I love that about him. I want a provider that is up-to-date on new techniques, ideas, and theories.
