Compared to newer Wilco locations like Petaluma, the Newberg store is just meh. Prices were fairly high, and the selection wasn't that great. Wilco probably needs to figure out if they want to be a hardware store or not at this store - it was a limited selection compared to places like Ace Hardware. read more

I am a big fan of Wilco. Last year all of the starts we bought here preformed well in the garden. He husband bought his favorite pair of Araits for work here. Recently I snagged some great boot socks. They have unique items that many other stores do not carry, like chicken wire. I prefer Wilco for home and garden more than the big box stores in Sherwood or Mac. So far we have had our dogs groomed here twice and have been happy with the results. After trying to find a groomer in town without getting calls back from two businesses a friend referred me to Wilco. The price is good and it is not hard to get an appointment within a week. read more

I have brought my dogs in here on several occasions for grooming or nail trims. The first time I went in I just needed their nails trimmed and the lady that did there nails was amazing. She was kind and patient but she also knew when to push through their wiggles. It was then that I made a appointment for our Golden to get a grooming with her. When I picked him up he looked amazing. The last time he got groomed by natures pet it looks like just hacked away at him but that was not the case this time. His coat looked soft and smooth and he didn't looked stressed like he normally does when he gets done being groomed. We recently went in for a quick nail trim and were done in 10 minutes of walking in there. We will continue going there. read more

i took my Great Pyrenees in to be groomed this week. I told them to blow her undercoat and trim her feet, private areas, and clean. Several hours later I went to pick her up. Words cannot express the hatchet job I witnessed when I walked in. They had completely cut off her outer coat. Her legs were completely exposed, her rough was gone under her neck, and her feathers on her legs were completely cut off. I hardly recognized my dog. This borders on cruelty and let me explain why. A Great Pyrenees was given two coats by God. The outer coat protects them from the elements since they were bred for guarding flocks of sheep or goats. They're outside in all kinds of weather. The rain doesn't penetrate because the undercoat keeps her dry. That protective outer coat is gone which means, when she gets wet, her undercoat will get wet and with the cold weather or harsh winds, she'll be cold. In the summer, again that undercoat protects her as well as the top coat which being white reflects the sun's rays, helping to keep her cool. The hatchet job on my poor dog has stripped her from any kind of protection. The woman who did this hatchet job has no clue how to groom any kind of farm dog, much less a Great Pyrenees. If I were breeding her, I'd be lost to advertise what a beautiful dog she was. let this be a warning! Especially if you have a Great Pyrenees! Stay away from the butcher at Newberg Wilco. She should have her scissors, trimmers, and tools stripped away. She only knows one way to cut. OFF! I had to give at least one star in order to post my review but it Deserves a negative star. read more

We usually go to our local Wilco in Oregon City but had been displaced by the fires with our horses in Newburg. Wilco was amazing and generously provided stall bedding and water buckets to us and over 200 animals evacuated at the barn we sheltered at. I went to the store several times to purchase supplies for our campsite and animals and they were helpful and well stocked. Thanks SO much to my favorite, local farm store! read more

This review is specific to Wilco's dog grooming services. I have taken my Basset Hounds there for several years, and have always been very happy with the care they receive, and how good they smell afterwards! I was so sad when Jess left, but Tiffany has been wonderful. She is kind to my anxious girl (who can be a handful), is responsive to special requests (like getting her nails shorter, or using a particular product), and consistently does a great job. She's clearly an animal lover, and takes pride in her work. I would recommend Wilco grooming without hesitation. read more

Went in to pick up some feed and some fencing supplies and it took forever for someone to come help at load out. The lady that came over to help was super rude to me. Instead of helping me she stood there and waited for some guy to come load and pull everything and didn't even help him. The guy apologized to me for the wait and for as he said his boss being rude to me and that is how she treats everyone. I asked if that's how she treats the employees and he said yes. Wilco you guys need to step up your hiring as this is the worst store I've been to. Everything is a mess and unorganized. read more

This has become my wife and daughter's new favorite clothing store. Yes, clothing. Ladies, if you want a pair of jeans that actually make your ass look smaller, this is the place to shop. And guys, as the ladies say, Wrangler butts drive them nuts. I always thought of Wilco as being a feed store, or a place that farmers shop, but the selection of lawn and garden supplies for any household is excellent. The clothing section is huge, with a great inventory of casual, work, and dressy clothes...and no, you won't look like a country singer. This is a great find in Newberg, and we stop by whenever we drive through town. read more

Went into this store today and got great service from the 2019 St. Paul Rodeo Princess but when it was time to check out I asked about a PRCA Member discount I was told no they do not give one. Funny I have never went into a Farm and Ranch store without getting a 10% or more off discount. I travel all around the western states and have always recieved one. This is the first time in a Wilco Store and will be the last. Coastal Farm will get my business when in Oregon. So rodeo cowboys we wear the brand ride for the brand so let's spend were we are recognized for the brand. read more

When I first arrived here (from the city) the staff took one look at me and knew I wasn't from around here, but every single sales person I came across treated me like I was their next door neighbor. I have never been to such an establishment with such great custom service. I used to wear Calvin Klein and Ann Taylor, but now my wardrobe is filled with Ariat jeans, boots and belts. This is the only place where I can find answers from my gardening questions to my wardrobe selection and the staff is wonderful!! Thank you for making a big city girl feel welcome. Just went here the other day for the first time in search of a specific dog food and was pleasantly surprised at the dog and cat food selection. Not to mention an employee that wasn't working at the time and shopping herself, took the time to help us look at different food options for our dog with allergies. I recently took my mother's dog to this location for a haircut/nail trim/ etc. I was not happy about the extra 10 dollar handling fee I had to pay considering the fact that I informed the groomer the dog needed a muzzle and pointed out sensitive areas. I would have appreciated it if she had informed me I would be charged the extra fee if my dog wasn't the perfect little angel which I know he is not. I DO NOT appreciate being charged a steeper price when I could have gone to another location and payed the same price I did the last time I had this dog groomed.. I guess I will look elsewhere in the future. read more

I'm a city girl, so until I moved out to Newberg I had no idea what a Wilco was. Turns out it's pretty useful for pet supplies, garden supplies, and all kinds of boots. I like a good pair of Boggs and they have a nice selection. Plus, if you need heavy bags of compost or whatever, just order at the checkout and then drive around back. They'll fetch it and load it into your car for you. Try getting that kind of service anywhere else! read more

We have been going to the Wilco groomers for several years. We had a great groomer there who left a few years ago. Since she left, they have had a high turnover rate. We took our pups in for their grooming apt Saturday at 2 PM. They told us it would be approx. 4 hours before they were done. We have ALWAYS received a phone call letting us know they were done and ready to be picked up. At 6 PM I was getting worried. I called at 6:18 and received their voicemail. I left a message and we actually googled what time they closed - 8 PM. Finally, at 7:21 we received a phone call saying the pups were done. My husband went to get them and was told by a Wilco employee that she had listened to my voicemail message and went back to the grooming dept. where she found our pups locked in a cage and everyone in the grooming dept. had gone home for the day! They just tossed our babies in a cage and never bothered to call and let us know they were done! Plus, we were told they don't take them out to go potty, which may or may not be a law - but I don't like that policy! I AM FURIOUS! I WILL NOT EVER BE BACK! There is NO EXCUSE for this behavior! TWO groomers worked on them and NEITHER bothered to call or let anyone know they were locking them in a cage and LEAVING! *FURIOUS* read more

I have shopped at this store for some time. I bought some things and needed to return one of the items. I called and the person on the phone was very helpful and nice. I went into the store a week later and spoke with two people in the gardening section. They were both not helpful. You could tell that they did not want to help and we're not pleasant at all. I'm new to gardening and instead of being helpful, the main person was very demeaning in her tone and delivery. I've had worst customer service but this day has definitely went into the books.
