While the experience I had here checked all the boxes for me in terms of budget and entertainment value, potential customers should know terrariums can be a fairly spendy craft project. The owner, Gregg, is the secret ingredient that really makes this place work. He's a fascinating character, with an impressive knowledge of the history, culture and science of terrariums. I was expecting a simple, hands on activity, but Gregg really gave us in depth knowledge about the fascinating origins of terrariums, info on how these closed ecosystems function, and the principles behind keeping them healthy and thriving. It was a fantastic learning experience and we plan to come back with my parents in summer when it is even more beautiful. It is a real shame that there is so much red tape when it comes to shipping plants up to Canada, otherwise I would seriously consider their services.
