I highly recommend this place for the whole family! We had a blast! The staff were very friendly and welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. Make sure you bring extra clothes it gets very dusty. I hear winter is the best time to come so we will definitely be back, 10/10 no complaints can't wait to be back and tear up those dirt roads :)

We drove 3 hours from LA to find this business closed! Luckily there was a neighbor outside who informed us there was no one there. Our tour was at 11am 7/23/23 and we arrived 15 min early , called repeatedly and no answer. My husband emailed and he received an email back saying we'd get a full refund for the inconvenience. Unfortunately this doesn't cover our lost time and gas!

Nothing can beat the adrenaline of off-roading! I was scared at first, thinking I might lose control of the car but the tour guide always made sure I was doing ok. They have 10,19 and 28 mile tour of desert, dunes and dust. I picked 10 miles and regretted it. I want more! Next time, I will pick the 28 mile tour.

This is perfect for a date. This isn't random riding. Your riding with an instructor that knows the trails, will let you speed when it's safe, and most importantly they are cool and personable. Had anniversary plans which got cancelled due to our autistic nonverbal son who became sick out of no where. I was desperate to just get away, even for a few hours. Found this gem on google and gave them a call. Booking was easily done on the website. A few hours later, my husband and I arrived to a big blue trailer. Jenn met us outside with a smile. I used their restrooms and to my surprise they were "clean clean". I noticed a daily cleaning log which reassured me that this place was legit. Filled out a few forms, watched a tutorial video, and paid 2 deposits since we got 2 vehicles. Our deposits was 2k per vehicle so expect that additional temporary charge. The deposit was lifted before we got into our vehicles to leave home. Our online banking showed this to be true. We did the 28mile tour. During the tour my husband and I spoke to one another via headset. Jenn educated us about the area and even showed us how to spot gold. It was a joyous ride. I am very appreciative... Helpful Hints: Deposits maybe split across different cards, drive safe or your pockets will pay for it later.

What an incredible time. Spent new Years weekend in Palm Springs and this was worth the drive from there! They have the CUTEST and friendliest pup on site who loves all the belly rubs. We met Ray and Liam. Both were friendly and helpful. We signed up for the 19 mile tour. Liam was a great guide and had me feeling confident in something I've never done before! My only regret is not doing the 28 mile tour. Well worth the money! Definitely recommend and plan on coming back to do the longer tour!

Haven't had so much fun in a while! Gotta admit that at a certain point i got scared, hahaha, and I feel bad for everyone's ears having to hear me yelling through the headsets (oops) but overall it was such an amazing experience and so much fun. Jenny is just a doll and made it so easy to get us started, since i have never done this before. She is amazing! She kept us engaged and gave us the headsup if anything was up ahead that needed our attention. I am definitely coming back and bringing my 10 year old son so he can experience it as well and do the 4 passenger one. Thank you for such a great time!

We booked a tour for today at 6pm and no one was there. We got there early and waited for an hour and a half in 107 degrees heat. We called and emailed several times, but no response. We paid over £1,000 dollars. We managed to speak to their neighbour who informed us that she hadn't seem them (Wild Desert Tours) for many weeks. Very disappointed considering we came all the way from the UK and was really looking foward to the tour. We have requested a refund but have not had a response yet. read more

We booked the 28 mile ride on the blue falcon! Andrew was our lead driver/guide and was great to ride with! I'm a first timer for this kind of thing and so is my boyfriend, although he has more off-roading experience in his truck. Costs: Fair pricing for the experience and what it comes with! We purchased the $40 insurance to be safe. Even riding up to 50 miles an hour and sending the dips we had no damage to our UTV. We bought the GoPro video as well since it's a special occasion. Experience: I HAD A BLAST. It felt like a rollercoaster!!! I was passenger the whole trip but I wouldn't have it any other way. The trip itself was scenic and reminiscent of Joshua Tree. Weather is perfect but bring a jacket as it gets windy. Thank you Wild Desert Tours for this UTV experience! read more

Great experience! My wife and I came in with a few thousand miles of experience on Mavericks so it was great to pick our ideal machine ahead of time. The WDT team adapted the tour for our experience level and made it fun! I never thought being limited to 45 mph on an X3 could be so much fun but it was a great time. Definitely recommend. read more

State law says that children need to be such a size that they can sit with their back against the seat back and be able to hold the safety handle(s). Children that are 5 or 6 years old usually meet this requirement.

The first red flag was that the company did not provide a phone number, making it difficult to get help or clarification when we needed it. We followed their directions exactly and arrived 30 minutes early. We parked in the designated lot as instructed by the person at the gate, but our guide never came to meet us. We eventually had to drive into the park ourselves and locate the guide, who was parked on the side of the road. There was no clear signage identifying the company or where customers were supposed to check in. Once we finally found the guide, the intake process took approximately 40 minutes. After all of that, we paid approximately $700 for a ride that lasted only about 20 minutes. We were also promised pictures from the experience, but no pictures were ever provided. Lucky I took my own before riding. What made the experience even worse was the customer service afterward. Rather than taking responsibility for the poor communication, unclear instructions, lack of signage, and failure to provide what was promised, the company provided little to no accountability. For the amount of money we spent, this was absolutely not the experience we expected. Poor communication, poor organization, inadequate customer service, and failure to deliver what was promised. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this company and would strongly encourage others to consider other ATV companies before booking.

The owner actually runs a motel and advertises a dirt bike and quad for rental. Unfortunately, we agreed to rent and were asked to sign a very long rental agreement on the owners iPad. We then waited about 45 mins while he drove the bike/quad to the garage for gas, then we drove across town to the trails and the owner left us. First of all, the both the bike and quad are 10 years old and in poor condition. We paid $300 + 50 for gas. We did not see them before we signed (stupidly that was our fault) as that would have been a big warning sign. When they kept stalling the owner said that when they warm up, they will be fine. They weren't and made riding for my quite difficult. The console of quad kept popping off and the steering was crooked. The stand of the dirt bike was held up by a rope and it dropped down during the ride. The clutch and brake handles were both bent. Needless to say, we did not enjoy ourselves. When the owner came back at the end of ride, he said that we had scratched the back of bike and bent the clutch and asked for $70 more in damages to cover a bent clutch handle. When I asked him how he comes to $70, he became abusive and said I was a 'dick' and that the rental contract allows him to change up to $500 at his sole discretion. Shortly, there after he decided to charge $150. I will contest this with the credit card company. My advice to anyone thinking of renting is don't. If you do, read the agreement and have a look at the bike and quad and better still drive them before you sign and pay. You won't want to rent once you do that.

Something I have wanted to do for years and finally did it! My friends and I did the 42-mile tour in the Can-Am X3 max Turbo DS 4pm tour with our awesome tour guide Ray. We had the BEST time! 4pm in the desert is hot, but once you get going it feels amazing and we got to catch the beginning of the sunset. We arrived a bit late (about 20 minutes) because of some extra unforeseen traffic out of Los Angeles. I called to alert them as soon as I knew and they said it was okay and that our guide would be there when we got there. There were three of us and we all wanted to drive so we took turns to drive. Ray had the course split up so we could safely switch drivers, take pictures, and have some water. Ray was our guide and a great one. You can tell he loves driving these machines, and cares about the people he takes on the trail. One of my friends was a bit more nervous to drive and he could not have been more patient, kind, and encouraging. He communicated well and made us laugh (not always easy to do). He is also a pretty good photographer! He was on it when it came to our safety. During the ride one of the headset radio's stopped working partway through the trip when my friend was driving, he brought us to a safe space to pull off and quickly switched out her headset, then off we went again. The safety video we watched before the ride scared us......like maybe this was a bad idea scared haha! But once in the gear (head sock, helmet, gloves) and on the trail I always felt safe. Ray also helped with that by making certain we understood his directions and that we could always hear him. The vehicles are well maintained and you can tell this company cares about keeping its customers safe and its vehicles in the best condition. Pricing seemed very fair to me. I have never done this but after looking at several places before choosing Wild Desert Tours, they seemed to be fairly priced and had the best (and safest) machines. We paid the extra $40 for insurance which felt worth it just in case. And tipped our wonderful guide Ray at the end our our tour. We tipped him in cash and 20% of the tour cost ($90). I am adding this because I think people always wonder if they should tip for an experience with a guide. I say yes, especially if they guide adds positivity to they time. ***10% to 20% the cost of the trip is customary. We didn't get too dirty, just a nice dusting. They have an air compressor back at the garage where you can blow off the excess dirt before getting back into your car. They also have a bathroom with a shower, which we didn't use but I was presently surprised they offered this. If you are looking to try our dune buggies, THIS is the place! I will be coming back with friends again soon, and would recommend to anyone looking for something fun and more adventurous to do! read more

Did not at all expect to have this much fun! Most tours it's slow follow the leader style. Not this one! The guide speeds ahead and lets you take as slow or fast you want to catch up to him. The helmets are cool too! They have built in walkie talkies so your guide can communicate to you obstacles and turns ahead. They also provide gloves and head sock for free. So fun! The owner is a nurse and that made me feel pretty safe lol genuinely nice guy and an honest company. We will definitely be back! Cool side facts, the honey bee is the mellow of the three options. I was a beginner and drove the yellow bird which is taller and can go faster that one was a blast! The other option is the four seater which we didn't get because there were only two of us. Tennis shoes a must! There is a bathroom on site, and an air bnb right next to it. The air bnb is gorgeous! It's actually a house with separate rooms (each room has its own bathroom/shower) hotel style. Private patio and common kitchen and living room areas. If you are looking for a Wild & Crazy Exhilarating ride across all kinds of desert terrain this is the tour for you!!! We drove a 2-seater and a 4- seater for over 40 miles!! The route kept us entertained with hills, valley's, bumps, turns and exhilarating speed!!! This tour is legit and truly the most fun off road adventure. Our guide Josh was super chill and allowed freedom to have fun in a safe manner. We communicated with him and our family via mic/coms in our helmets. He answered questions along the route and joked with us throughout the day. Super fun and adrenaline packed experience for us all. Easy drive from LA and a tour that should be on everyone's bucket list. Our tour ended right at sunset which was spectacular but we all agreed we will return to reserve a night ride soon. read more

Ten times better then expected. Our guide Josh was excellent and gave us all safety equipment needed for no extra charge. Then installed radio transmitters on our helmets so we can all communicate with each other which made it more fun. He led the way and we followed at our own pace. As we followed he then would call out hazards and turns, so we knew what to expect without dangerous surprises. My adrenaline was through the roof for hours. It is out of control fun but I felt safe with Josh answering all questions. Water and snacks were provided. I would highly recommend this to anyone young or old. The ride itself was amazing, had chosen the 19 mile tour and now I'm more than certain I'll be coming back for their longer mile tours. A very much different experience that needs to be on everyone's to do list. Took a 19 mile tour with our guide Jenny! They start off with a safety video and thoroughly go over everything you need to know prior to getting on one of these ATVs. You must be 18+ with a valid license to drive! They cover safety perfectly. I had such a fun time and felt safe when Jenny guided us, she let us know exactly what to expect down the trail. Great tour! Did the 28 mile sunset ride. ndrew and Preston were fantastic guides. Everyone was very hospital and they were assuredly knowledgeable about the vehicles and the trails. Definitely go for the vehicle upgrade. Got a chance to ride both and the the upgrade makes a world of difference. It's faster, smoother, and the handling is significantly improved.
