Wild Fork has an unbelievable selection of cuts and species... those I've heard of, new ones, and others I haven't seen in years. Wild Fork has been our go to for primarily Meat and Seafood. What's great about Wild Fork is that most of their products are high quality and flash frozen. It's very convenient for people like us where we want to save meals for later use. They have an impressive selection of steak cuts. I also enjoy their variety of exotic meats for sale like Elk, Picanha, Ostrich, Rabbit and Alligator. My only wish is they offer Yak steaks vs just offering ground Yak. Overall, if you're looking for alternative protein options other than your standard chicken and beef, this is the place to go. I like their microwaveable frozen meals too. They're great on the go for lunch. Parking at this location is convenient. They have an ample parking lot just behind the store when you turn left into the alley. People are super helpful and friendly. They have various price points for their protein and seafood. I've seen items go as little as $4-5 dollars per pound for a pack of chicken, pork and mussels. On the other side of the spectrum I've seen prices as high as $100+/lb for premium meats like A5 Wagyu beef ribeye. Let me tell you as a foodie, this is a frozen foodie paradise. We joined their membership online and have had multiple products that they've offered. And all has been very good. Everything in this store is frozen, from, meat, pork, fish, veggies, desserts & more. Check them out online as they will ship direct. Right now their actual brick and mortar stores are few, but they are growing This store is immaculate, well stocked. The staff could not be friendlier and will pack your frozen items to go with dry ice and freezer pack if need be. This place is worth checking out! read more

I was skeptical of this place but heard good comments. I got a flyer for $10 off $50. So used it to try it. Everything is flash frozen so no water molecules in the meat to freeze. I usually freeze my store bought meats anyway. OMG prices are really good and the quality of the options is amazing. The chicken thighs we just over $1 @lb. The wings were large and $1 less then the grocery stores. Berkshire pork. pork belly, the staff are really friendly and helpful. They have frozen breads, croissants, some ready to thaw and cook items. read more

You might assume from the name that they're a kind of small business. However, they are owned by JBS which is a major conglomerate. That said, the meat is decent and so are the prices. It is very similar to what you'd get at a good supermarket, except everything is frozen. It is frozen well, so that could be a plus if you want to have steaks at the ready in your freezer. They also have some more exotic meats that you won't find at your local supermarket. read more

I've passed this place so many times and today I planned to buy some salmon to cook for dinner, and being at their insection I saw a parking space and went in! The store is immaculate and smells super clean. Everything is stocked neatly and clearly labeled, with most items being sold by the pound. They have a good variety of meats and fish/seafood, ready to heat sides, a decent variety of vegetables, and it's all flash frozen so there's no freezer burn! Everything is frozen. I got a very reasonable bag of salmon filets (they offer large pieces or individual portions with skin on or off!) a side of a brocolli-cauliflower dish and a family sized quiche. I was short on time to continue browsing but I definitely want to bring my husband and stock up on what looks like good quality products! read more

Horrible delivery packaging and poor-quality control I was sent two A5 Wagyu Beef NY Strip Steak as a gift. So i was not aware of delivery on a day I was not home. I arrived home, 10 hours after delivery was made and steaks were warm. Opening the brown bag to find the steaks were NOT in foil envelope but at the bottom of the brown bag. with another lunch size bag labeled dry ice but NO Dry ice. Called the number on documents which was store in Evanston, rep at store was very nice and helpful and I received a call back within 2 hours and discussed a product replacement but that never happened and called AGAIN and had to explain problem. Received a replacement finally however only 1 steak when two were ordered. I understand why first steaks were warm, they put a handful of dry ice CHIPS in brown lunch size bag. After my fourth call, the order was completed. The $200 worth of steaks is Not worth the money for the lack of quality control, headaches and time. Perishable food should be package in a much better manner than a few dry ice chips in a brown bag. I can get equally grade steaks at local butcher for less than $100/lb. I had cookies deliver in a better packaging. read more

Everything I've I've purchased has been fantastic, and generally rivals the quality you will find in of your better restaurants. At a price equal to or better then any chain grocer. The skirt steak, filet mignon and breads are family favorites. The store is spotless, and the staff always friendly and helpful. read more

I am not giving 5 stars because the meats are amazing or something. I have only tried a few, but they are better quality than any other grocery in Evanston so far. I'll have to try a few more meats and may update my review. The prices, convenience, and quality seems to be the best deal in Evanston. This is still a chain, and chains only care about profits, and their product is meat. So they will provide the quality of meat based on what makes the overall owner/shareholders the most wealthy. So don't expect 5 star meats from this place. There are some local butchers in Evanston that I'm almost certain are way higher quality but AFAIK the prices are a LOT higher. The 5 stars here is because the meat is frozen, organic, and higher quality than other places in Evanston. This is the first time in years I have been able to open a container of cooked chicken and not have it smell like rotting bacteria from Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Jewel, etc. The floor plan so far looks excellent as well, with enough space to pass people. And the fact they almost only sell meats that require two steps to cook (thaw + cook) means you will be dealing with less old people and northshore gutter moms, as well as less kids. read more

I have had delivery and been very pleased. On time and well packed. I went to the Main St. location yesterday and it was super clean, well stocked w super helpful staff. The clams I bought, were excellent!. Briny, TENDER, unlike canned clams and made a gorgeous, linguine clam sauce. Seriously, they were almost like fresh shucked clams. I am writing because I am loving the quality of these frozen items, especially when properly thawed. And the values are great, compared to current grocery prices. Kudos, to the team. read more

I pass by this shop every time I go to work but it's always empty.. not of products but no customers. I have never seen a grocery that is this empty. Especially for a newly opened store it should attract people to come out of curiosity. And you are opening one in skokie too which is so close to Evanston ?! This is not gonna click and it will close soon because people wants a one stop shop especially during winters here in IL. It's all frozen no fresh produce. Where are the potatoes or veggies that will go with your meats? read more
