    meat in a refrigerator

Wild Fork is known for blast freezing their meats to maintain the peak of freshness and to maintain the temperature throughout the supply chain. I was a little hesitant in regards to all their products being frozen, but thawing it is super easy (running it under cold water for about 30-45 minutes, and it's ready to go). They have a great selection of meats and cuts, such as beefs, steaks, chicken, pork, lamb, turkeys, sausages, burgers and meatballs, and even specialty meats, such as alligator, veal, rabbit, ostrich, goat, goose, bison, pheasant, elk, and venison. Seafood includes fish and shellfish that are wild-caught, of premium grade, and oven-ready entrees/meals. Prices are pretty competitive, if not better in terms of comparing to other grocery stores. We purchased a ground prime rib and some frozen ginger tabs for cooking. Staff were friendly and were readily available for assistance. They do have some type of a loyalty/rewards program, but we weren't asked if we were interested in signing up. They do have a small lot to park your vehicle, but going in and out can be a little tricky with the traffic on Gross Point and Skokie Blvd. +blast-frozen meats and seafood +friendly service +small lot to park vehicles

Wow! This is my new meat store and lots more than just meat items. I am sad I didn't peruse this store sooner. Guys, when you have a party, cookout, just filing up your freezer for weeklong groceries or food ideas. Go here first! Amazing deals and so many options of meats, all types cuts and purpose, side dishes, desserts, veges and much more! They have gourmet quality meats too all by with some famous brands. Love it!!

A very visible and prominent corner storefront!

This newest Wild Fork has only been open for a couple weeks.  Apparently, no more will open in Chicagoland this year.  They have a great, visible storefront (look for bright orange!) right on the busy and convenient corner of Skokie Blvd and Gross Point Rd.  Their space is amenable to nice browsing with a very sunny and airy setting from a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows.  I might be wrong, but their inventory compared to the other newish location in Mt. Prospect looked a little more stacked with beef and fish products and less stocked with exotic meats.  But to be clear, there's still their wide, diverse, and interesting variety of frozen products to choose from.

I'm not sure why it's taking me years to do this review however I've been going to seafood city…read moresupermarket since they opened this Chicago location years ago. When it first opened, it was great to see how bright and clean it was and to see all of the incredible stacked foods and items. However, over the years it's definitely been worn down a little bit and could use a new refresh. What has been good is that they really expanded some of the seating area as well as the seafood city Grill area and the food offerings. However even this is slightly inconsistent as far as what's available when it's open, etc. It's also great that this particular location also is able to build out some of the other additional vendors like the bakery by Valerio. Again, though, I wish there was a little bit more consistency and organization throughout. Parking lot is has been quite ample except during peak times. I really wish they would open one in the suburbs as well. The only major disappointing thing was I used to carry the best Chicharron by Saint Michaels and then they absolutely abused and price gouged the bags. And eventually they stopped carrying it. I however, have gone directly to the stores to purchase.
