The selection of meat, poultry, and seafood was impressive, with a unique variety that you don't typically find in most grocery stores. First time visiting because I had a gift certificate from Christmas to use. I was excited because I know they have duck and game meat and I am big on both. I ended up leaving with a bag of Argentinian red shrimp a bag of trout filets a bison steak a duck breast with cajun seasoning. Unfortunately they were out of venison tenderloin but hopefully they will have it when I return. Since they didn't have the venison tenderloin, I picked up the bison steak instead. In addition to what I purchased, I can report that there are tons of other things you won't find in grocery stores including a big bag of chicken livers, oxtail, fancy Iberian pork and more. I was surprised the prices were not bad. My bison steak was actually less than regular beef steaks at Publix. The shrimp was also on sale and on $10 for the bag. They also have other non meat items but I was there for the meat and seafood. I look forward to making my items and expect to fo back. read more

I was definitely impressed with the cleanliness of Wild Fork and the variety of products. Not just meats, but a huge selection of accompaniments from fruit...ok, maybe not fruit but definitely nuts, pretzels, and spices. They have a selection of soups and fish. I am still relatively new to shopping at wild Fork. This was only my second time I love their selection. I actually went in to buy some more duck breasts that they have that are seasoned with like honey orange. It was delicious when I had it the first time. And I had bought some steak the first time I was there but I couldn't remember which one it was and it was so good and it just happened to be the same sales guy and I told him he's like oh yeah I remember and he got me exactly what I wanted. Wow they have it all! Very impressed with their selection of meats (keep in mind everything is frozen) they even have some sides and desserts too. We got the reserve rib eye and wow it was amazing and tender. Highly recommend! Prices are reasonable and seem to be around Publix prices. We also tried the meatballs and they were great and big too. At first I thought this was a restaurant. Nope, even better! A much needed specialty food store that's been sorely missing in the area. Don't let the smaller size deceive you, it's packing all the right things especially in meats and seafood departments! This place has been open a few years now, but honestly the word needs to get out more about it. With a clean cut and upscale vibe, I love how everything is laid out. Until today, I have never been impressed with grocery store organization, and this has some quick food education on each section. The organization is top tier, along with so much food variety! They have even some basics like frozen dinners and frozen veggies, so don't think it's only about the meats. I hope the pictures I took really speak to the special care that goes into these displays. If cleaner eating is your thing, or interesting cuts you won't find elsewhere, it's worth checking out this spot. Everything is frozen, but, they have heat-n-eat, thaw-n-serve, soups, appetizers (snails in shell with garlic butter, anyone?), fish, fowl, meat, and offal! Even dessert! At least 4 different flavors of smoked salmon (gin and tonic? Mojito?) Pheasant, duck, dry aged, grass-fed beef! And, in the back corner of the store (which isn't very big) is a case of exotic ground meats! Bison, venison, ostrich, wild boar, kangaroo, and yes, YAK! It is in the same Plaza as Sprouts, so, over there next for fancy buns and home to get the charcoal grill fired up. We are eating good tonight! read more

Thought I would review some of the products that Wild Fork sales... Maryland Style Crab Cakes... I will pick up more of these, they are delicious, and two is just right for a growing boy! ;) (with some homemade Tartar Sauce) The Quinoa and Kale is easy to heat up... and pretty good. I did add salt and some hot chili spice I like to crank it up a bit, but this is a solid and easy side dish. read more

I've always gotten my meats from Costco but the prices here beat Costco and the selection was better. This is going to become a typical spot for my meats. I hate that Wild Fork, which I've been eyeing for a few years when they only had a Ft Lauderdale location, moved to Westchase (and Tampa period) after we sold our house to become nomads! I used to drive all the way to the east side of town to get goat, oxtail and lamb because frankly the Tampa 'burbs (Westchase, Carrollwood, Citrus Park) lacks diversity in meats. The only place nearby that I could find those meats were in Town n Country, but the quality of the meat in the Latin markets just aren't that good. I swear the moment we decided to put up our house for sale the "coming soon" sign went up. I still have some business and my doctors in the area. So I tend to stay near Westchase a few days when I'm back in town every 2-3 months. I can't help but visit Wild Fork if I'm cooking or if I'm driving up north instead of flying abroad to pick up some quality "exotic" meat. The flash freezing process allows for fantastic quality on the meat! Once you thaw it you would never know it was ever frozen. Buying tomahawk steak and wagyu here (if you ever feel like splurging) is at fair a price. I would even go as far as saying it's a bargain. There are also nice sides, seafood and seasoned meat choices. They have delivery as well...if I were in the states long enough I would totally get my meat delivered. I tried ordering ahead and picked up my Christmas Eve lamb and some seasonings I wanted to try...and ended up browsing through the store and getting Brisket that was already marinated in seasoning. I look forward to trying it! I remember when Wild Fork first opened I would be the only person in the store...and although it has never been crowded, it was nice seeing several other patrons when I shopped today. Variety: A lot of exotic game to choose from including venison, bison, alligator, elk, and even yak. If you're in a pinch for something different start here. Prices: Competitive, especially the organic bag of frozen chicken $16 for 2.5 pounds. Someone could buy A5 Wagyu for $150 a pound, but the normal or even organic steaks are competitive with Whole Foods prices, maybe a few dollars less per a pound. Store itself: picture a large frozen foods area as an the entire store, incredibly clean white floors and perfectly organized. Staff: Friendly, very hospitable, and knowledgeable. Not for everyone: Nothing is fresh. I understand their business model is based on flash frozen foods, but items such as sausages could at least be refrigerated instead of frozen, or sauces for that matter. read more

We purchased sockeye wild caught Atlantic salmon with skin and picanha cut black angus for about $35 The associate was very helpful, friendly and knowledgable. Husband cooked salmon with pepper, Tony's, and parsley on pellet grill at medium heat for about 15 minutes. Flaky moist and so delicious! Coated picanha with olive oil and spices, scored fat and cooked on pellet for 45 minutes 225 fat side down, flipped and cooked another 45 minutes. Finished in the oven broiling cap on high for about 7-8 minutes. Served with horseradish sauce. We will definitely return. read more

The chimichurri seasoned skirt steak was dinner last night along with the potato au gratin and yes the raspberry beignets. All the products are frozen so of course thawing them is always been a question since my husband found a thawing tray, phenomenal easy. Everything is thawed in two hours at room temperature. I visited the store based on reviews. We're looking for a butcher with quality and variety products. In addition, freshness and animal welfare rating (a good one) is also very important. Wild fork has an A+ on their animal wellness eating but no transparency. They don't specify and their employees only quoted what was already posted around the store. The staff were very nice and attentive. The store carries a wide variety of meats from different countries, but it's all frozen. The place has a sterile, Ikea like feel to it. They also fail to mention how long the meats have been frozen. What I mean by that is: meats can be frozen at the right temperature for years and customers won't know it. With that said, we left the store empty handed and won't return. My honest opinion. read more

My second visit to this Wildfork, and again, was like a kid in a candy store. I only set out to pick up a grassfed whole beef brisket to make a pastrami/corned beef with, but as happens with most everyone, I didn't bring and wear my blinders! I picked out a 12 pounder, but fyi, they also stock prime and choice brisket. I also found some nice wild caught jumbo Gulf shrimp, squid rings and tentacles, seafood mix, and hot Italian sausage, all at very fair prices. I did spy some Berkshire pork belly that I was tempted to buy, but I realized it wasn't going to fit in my freezer, so on my list for the visit, and there will definitely be more visits. Everything is vacuum sealed, so that saves me time and money doing that at home. Plenty of employees walking the floor offering their help to actually take you to what you're looking for, not just pointing. I see there's people pooing that everything's frozen, but I feel in actuality, frozen can be fresher than 'fresh'. There's many grocers that put out frozen product in the display case and the unassuming customer thinks it's fresh meat, and then they put it in the freezer when they get home. What is wrong with this company?????!!! Yesterday I bought an item, brought it home and started the thawing process. When I checked on it today I saw that it has been out of date since February, 2023. Of course when I called their recording says they are too busy to answer the phone, (OBVIOUSLY NOT BECAUSE THEY ARE CHECKING DATES), but they will call back. No dice!!! No call. The guy behind the counter had an "aw shucks" attitude, as did his co-worker. When I asked for the manager, she explained not returning the call away as she'd been in meetings all day....I guess she doesn't train her people to answer the phone which is like, the first thing most retailers do. Delivery is free up to 90 miles with $30 annual membership. Open until 9pm order online and pickup curbside. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great location. Finally an amazing place to shop for your meats. The addition of Wild Fork in this area makes shopping for food complete! We have awesome markets around the Westchase area but a good meat specialty store was missing until just now. The layout of the store it's very simple and convenient for clients to find what they need in a heartbeat (since everything it's labeled by the type of meats). They also have an area where they carry some not too common types of meats such as Alligator, Ostrich, Bison, etc. All the meats are preserved by being vacuum sealed and flashed frozen to keep their flavors intact. So if you need to cook/grill/smoke right away then you might get frustrated that you will have to take your time to let the precious cargo melt (NEVER force melt your meats). Overall, Wild Fork it's a nice addition to the area and for those who enjoy grilling and trying out some good cuts I would recommend dropping by to see if something catches your eyes. read more

I ordered food online for at home delivery. Ordered on Friday for Monday morning delivery for my weekly meal plan. Monday came and I received a notification that it was on the way. A few moments later I received a notice that it was undeliverable. Not sure how that was even possible unless they did not even attempt to deliver. I left explicit instruction on my address and how to get into my community. I did not receive a refund or a call from the delivery driver or the store. I called the store repeatedly. One of the stores said I needed to call a different store and gave me the number. I called that store and they said it was a different store. I called the other store they gave me the number to and no answer. I called every number I could find and it was either no answer or the wrong store. I finally called corporate, and they said they will try to find out what's going on and call me back, but I have yet to receive a call back! Great food and flavor. It's a small place, maybe 6 or 7 tables inside and two outside, with some seats at the bar. Service was okay especially with the new waitress. She is learning. There is no liquor wine or beer but it is BYOB. My wife and I were here for lunch and we had the Tallow fries with smoked chicken and collard greens.
