    Fried group sandwich (August 2025)

Came here for brunch after a bike ride. Decided on the banana pancakes. Ordered just 2 of them. They were huge! Perfectly cooked and just the right amount of bananas. I believe there was banana within the batter. Very good!

Not our first time here. Came this morning for a specific meal we've enjoyed a couple weeks ago - Cowboy breakfast that has corn beef hash 2 eggs and a biscuit. Ordered a side of tomato gravy and 2 bloody mary's. Barely any corn beef hash and one fried egg was dry as a bone. Talked to a manager who brought out more of the same hash/potato ratio that was more potato than hash. What a shame to look forward to a meal - and be greatly disappointed. Way too many choices for a great experience, to send out a less than stellar meal to any customer. $22 for that btw - excluding the drinks. Plus, the a/c wasn't cooling the restaurant. Never had such a poor performance experience. Noted.

I really enjoyed this place! The fish was fresh and delicious and the portions are huge. I got the grouper and my parents got catfish. Both were delicious. The cornbread was delicious and my slaw was also pretty good. I love all the sauces too. It's a no frills place and you have to order at the counter but the food is good!

Stopped in on my way back home during a bike ride on the Upper TB Trail, a hidden gem in Citrus Park and Westchase. The atmosphere is Cracker Barrel meets local beach shack. You walk in and order at the counter. Look for the line, find the end and be ready with you order when you get to the registers After ordering, you'll be given a table locator puck and that's how the server will find you to deliver your order. I enjoyed a garden patch salad, with grouper, and a side of fried green tomatoes. The grouper was blackened and hot/fresh. The green tomatoes were bangin' served piping hot with a side of dipping sauce. Delicious. I'll definitely be back. I want to try a burger as those looked really good.

If you want fresh fish dishes, burgers and wings look no further! I followed some friends here after getting in some miles on the Upper Tampa trail and it was worth it. I had blackened fish and fries and a cocktail from the bar. Worth every penny. I will definitely return soon to try other items.

    Grilled yardbird sandwich

Always a great meal (although it's pretty difficult to avoid carbs.) I've been on a protein heavy diet recently so I'm trying to always eat protein. We came for brunch on a Sunday. It was never crowded the entire time we were there between 11:30 am and 1 pm. Parking was easy, which is nice because when it gets crowded that parking lot gets packed. Put sunscreen on the kids. There isn't any shade so the kids were super sweaty running around the play area. Adults should put on sunscreen too because in the morning there's not a lot of shade out there to stand in either. Future Christina, one biscuit is enough. I got a biscuit and then a side of biscuit for my omelet and my older son ate 3/4 of a biscuit with the younger one not wanting any. My husband got the grilled yardbird sandwich with a side of fries so that way my older son could eat a biscuit and fries which was his favorite meal ever. The younger one wanted pancakes. Unfortunately there's no kids meal pancakes so he ate half a pancake, which was still enough to make it worth it. (The smallest set of pancakes came with two.) I got the shrimp omelet which had a ton of plump shrimp. It was delicious. On top of the biscuit I got cheese grits. Next time I should get just the grits, the cheese didn't really add anything. Unfortunately the only non carb side is collard greens which has pork in it. My husband liked his yardbird although none of us ate the cornbread. And my dad said his grand burrito was good. I like how laid back this place is with down to earth food that's delicious. The cashier was very friendly giving me tips as I ordered. This place hires great workers. I really enjoy coming here and will definitely be back.

Catfish meal with a side of blackened shrimp.

After a disappointing restaurant visit in Tampa in search of catfish (where I was unknowingly served Swai), I came to Florida Cracker Fish Company with high hopes of being satisfied. I was not disappointed! Their catfish was meaty, well-cooked and most importantly, it was the Southern raised American catfish I know and love. I also enjoyed their collard greens, and blackened shrimp. Nothing had over the top flavor, and the Glammy's cornbread could have been better, but otherwise I was satisfied. I LOVED the authentic shack-by-the-sea sort of atmosphere going on both inside the restaurant and on the back patio. It really does give good food and good-times beach vibes despite the area it is located. Thanks, Florida Cracker! I'll be sure to return next time I'm in town.

    Fried shrimp and slaw

Amazing! The food was delicious! The service was superb! Friendly, welcoming, and great recommendations. Had the fried shrimp (well seasoned and not oily), collards (great Smokey taste), slaw and fried green tomatoes (not oily with great side sauce). It's a very on your own kinda place which I appreciate bc there is less wait time. You go to the counter to place your order. You grab your own takeout containers (most of the food is served on to go bottoms so you just grab the tops and go). Will definitely be back to try more things in the menu.

It's a fun dining experience especially if you can get a group of seafood lovers to eat together as family style. We ordered the fried oyster and broiled oyster, along with a bowl of chowder, shrimp and crab claws to share. It's a very casual environment and will get loud. You do have to order drinks at the bar separately as well as self ordering up to the counter. Worth the visit if you are okay with casual seafood dining.

I wanted to come here because I had a great experience at the other location, so my friend and I decided to give this one a try. We ordered oysters, sweet tea, and fried pickles. The oysters were good, but the outside had a bit of grit to them, which made the texture a little crunchy, which I'm not the biggest fan of, but some people don't mind. The fried pickles were way too salty for me, and I couldn't even finish them. On the bright side, the sweet tea was banging, loved that. Overall, still glad I tried this spot.

The food here was really good. I had the charbroiled oysters and a bowl of Okeechobee gumbo. Everything came fresh, hot and seasoned well. Grammys cornbread was a real treat. I had never eaten it with collard greens or spinach on the inside. (not really sure which green it was :) The staff was friendly, and it was very clean. I would recommend this restaurant.

Service - both the bar and the table service was very good. Food - from the bread and butter, the Hush Puppies and the Bone-In Pork Chop, everything was very good. I unfortunately forgot our server's name, but she was an absolute gem. I asked her about most popular items and she gave us those but also ones that aren't as popular but are worth it..... so we tried the duck nachos. Oh my word. Best thing we had. So good - and pro tip - ask for extra pickled jalapeños and onions on the side. The downside of this dish was you do end up with empty chips at the bottom as most of the toppings were on the top chips. But that's a typical nacho problem. I didn't know what I wanted and honestly what I ordered I just shouldn't have. It was a gnocchi dish, but what I should have done is just have her pick my meal. Everything was done well. Nice restaurant, I just want to try some of their other offerings instead since I wasn't thrilled with either of our entrees - the gnocchi or the steak frites.
