We saw a big lineup of men's and women's clothes including tank tops, sweatpants, shirts, hoodies, leggings, cropped shirts and hats. Souvenirs are everywhere- stickers, mugs, phone cases, postcards, and more. The store is very well organized, super neat and enjoyable to just browse around in. Our contact person, Babek, was very helpful when we were trying to figure out how to disengage the rope bracelets we liked from their wood column of a stand. We picked up two postcards and two bracelets for the grand kids and a gorgeous Carlsbad vinyl sticker for our car for just $16.15..

From my understanding, Linda is real and she has owned this shop for over 30 years. She has filled it to the brim with some amazingly unique items. They have cards, jewelry, soaps, canned stuffed animals, kitchen items, fresh chocolates, candy and so much more. It's hard to leave without purchasing something, and it's probably something you were expecting. I loved all the treats and treasures! Plus, the staff are all a wonderful group of women, who were all so kind and helpful. Looking forward to coming back soon!

I visited the women's apparel, but I realized there is another Mermaids boutique for children and gift shop. Unfortunately, it was closed by the time I stopped by. The boutique has a nice selection of chic and fashion clothes as well as casual style for the beach. They also have beautiful accessories. The price was reasonable. The staff were very nice. Definitely, I will come back to Mermaids

I wanted to contact the owner about this, but I was unable to get their information--so here I am…read more On Friday, my 20-year-old and I walked into this store after grabbing a sweatshirt off the rack outside. When we walked in, a manager--large in stature--was leaning over a much smaller young lady working the register, screaming in her face. From what little we heard, we easily figured out he was angry that she went to someone else (possibly the owner) with an issue. "I AM THE MANAGER OF THIS STORE... YOU SPEAK TO ME...!!!!!" The young lady could only mutter, "Yes, sir," as she buried her head in her chest and stared at the floor. We were so mortified and shocked that all I could do was look at and address the girl, ignoring the man as he quickly changed his tone and tried to address me. I've been kicking myself ever since for not saying something to him right then and there. When we were done at the beach, we stopped back in the store to check on her. We caught up with her just as she was leaving through the back door. I asked if she was okay and told her that he cannot speak to her like that--that it's workplace harassment, an abuse of power, etc.--and encouraged her to tell the owner. She immediately said no, clearly fearful of that suggestion. Why wouldn't she be, after the manager was basically threatening her? I asked if I could contact the owner, and she declined that as well. Again, understandable. Meanwhile, the manager was standing at the back door watching us. Once I saw him, I told her not to worry about giving me the name. I said if her manager asked what I wanted, she could just say I was thanking her for selling me the sweatshirt. Later that day, still really uncomfortable with the idea that this could be ongoing, I spoke to Carlsbad PD, mostly to see if there was a way to get the owner's information. There wasn't. But at least now there is a report of all of this, so if they do fire her for anything related, or if things get worse for her, there's documentation of it.

It is a two level shopping center with a nice central fountain. Elevator is available. They have numerous seating all around the shopping center. The center has a very relaxing atmosphere which makes it fun to walk or shop around. Parking is available, but you can park around in the street. It could be challenging sometimes. There are different types of shops and restaurants around. For example; you can find coffee shops, bobba shop, Gelato,ramen restaurant, sushi restaurant, Italian restaurant, clothing, jewelry, souvenirs, board game shop, art gallery, dentist office and more. I enjoyed shopping at many shops there and trying the coffee shop, gelato and sushi restaurant.
