great place to re-supply, grab a beverage (caffeinated or juiced,) maybe something from their baked goods case or a wrap, sandwich or bowl of soup. i had driven into manzanita just to walk around with the dog and decided i wanted to get something to go for lunch so opted for the tempeh reuben which they heat up. it was delicious and filling! i also go a matcha energy ball and some bee pollen because it was right at the register. the people were friendly and its a very casual vibe. they have a couple of tables outside and lots of inventory so if you were camping or had a cooler you wanted to refill as you move further north or south along hwy 101, i'd suggest stopping. i like manzanita far more than cannon beach, mostly because it's smaller and less tourist hype. on sunny summer days there are definitely lots of non locals in town but it's not as crazy as cannon beach, which i prefer. read more

Huge selection of vegan and non vegan items. Pastries, wraps, sandwiches. I got here when they were about to close and some deli items I wanted were gone but there was still plenty to choose from. I was indecisive and overwhelmed with choices but the folks were kind and patient. My vegan picks: Rainbow wrap: I love yams, so it was an obvious choice. This was big and had good flavor. Whew, that curry filled up my car though. Rawsome bar: was pretty good as well. Not too sweet. I ate this while driving. Chocolate olive oil cake: moist Plush coconut cake: it was a bit dry Vegan tempeh Reuben: this was really good and would order again. This is a cute cozy little organic grocery store. But the best part is that they serve food! There is no fast food in Manzanita, but this is a nice place to pop in for a quick bite to eat. We got a Rainbow Wrap, which is a beautiful half wrap for $8, with curried yams, greens, roasted peppers, sweet pickles, and a nice sweet-tangy dressing (or was that flavor all from the pickles?) it was really tasty and colorfully beautiful. The whole place smells great when you walk in and the sign says it's because of the rainbow wrap! Also got a grilled cheese, which was a bargain at $5 , served on sourdough w/ mustard. The cheese was nice and gooey, bread was super crisp. Had kombucha from the tap. Staff invited me to sample all of the drinks and to be sure I filled my glass full! There were 2 kombucha flavors, nitro cold brew, and nitro herbal tea. I love that they use real dishes and not disposable ones. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Staff were very friendly--I read on here that others have experienced bad service, but I received excellent, very welcoming service. read more

Very cute little grocery store, but unfortunately, the store was not at all concerned or apologetic when we bought a salami that turned out to be more than a month past the pull date and was moldy. They did give us a refund, but absolutely no apology or "gosh I'd better check the other ones in the counter," or anything that indicated that expired grocery products bothered them. The clerk was in fact rather sullen with us. Will probably try one of the other grocery stores in Manzanita next time we're in town. read more

Love this place! The shop is super cute and filled with many of my favorite things - organic produce, my favorite essential oil brand, and a lot of the books in the shop were right up my alley too (not sure if they were for sale - they may have just been for perusing while enjoying a juice pre-covid). There is a juice bar and food here (I believe there's coffee and such as well). All the juices we tried were good, same with the various sweet treats we sampled. They do have both vegan and GF options. They also have a good selection of meat, fish, produce, and an assortment of various items like condiments, cheese, etc. We bought a few items here for cooking and especially love when they are featuring new produce items. They also have essential oils and some great local bath salt. During our stay in Rockaway Beach I could've easily come here every day! read more

Customer service is never the best here. Not the most friendly. They always make me feel they don't like people from out-of-town. We got a green juice. I asked if he could sweeten it up a little since it was for a 6 year old. He was not very accommodating & then said green juices are never sweet. This is actually the only place I've ever gotten a non-sweet green drink, when apple is involved, in all of OR, Los Angels, and MI. And I get one pretty regularly for my son. Then on top of this, my son drops his $3 cookie on the ground. A $3 cookie... it was a shortbread with jam cookie. They didn't even offer to replace it. So I bought another one. It was actually pretty dry and not worth $3. Very disappointing. I come here a few times every summer when I'm in town. Think I'll pass and just take my business to Yolk! They alway have been super friendly there! And the food is amazing. read more

We took a trip to Manzanita, and this grocery was so wholesome! They were making all the food fresh and with local produce. The staff seemed really friendly, and they had a lot of options. I tried the almond butter ball which was huge and really filling so definitely worth the price. It had seeds and chocolate chips and some other ingredients but still healthy. A bit later we tried the rainbow wrap which had hummus, curried sweet potatoes, and a lot of other veggies and it was really yummy. My friend tried their curry soup which was packed with mushrooms, broccoli, chickpeas, and tasted amazing. Definitely a place to go whether it's coffee, a snack, or lunch. read more

So much better than anything in a 20 minute drive. Their produce prices are quite fair, and very vetlry pretty. Ended up getting all the raw staples here for a ok price. Not too many organics, but it is a very small place. If your need some quick groceries and dont mind it being a meal you have to make. This isnt a bad place. For premade meaps and snacks and junk food, the prices are quite high. read more

We stopped here for some brunch yesterday, before a quick beach walk, I have been wanting to stop in for a while now but have not been out much the past year or so, due to general exhaustion from working in the service industry during covid times. While in general this cafe/market hybrid is WONDERFUL, it was spacial to me particularly because it felt and smelled a whole awful lot like the organic market that I worked in at the time my daughter was born, which was a special and transformational time in my life in so many ways. Made my heart happy - the food was amazing, we shared a breakfast burrito, a slice of vegan lasagna, a giant home-made oreo, a Roiboos Chai and a "liver lube" green juice....all a pure delight and hit the spot. There is a great offering of deli items to cater to any diet, a beautiful and diverse pastry case, a coffee and juice bar, organic groceries, produce to meat, herbal and homeopathic medicines, (I even scored a gallon of fresh nettles! My first herbal teacher - which I have been enjoying today as an iced herbal infusion, yum) and a substantial selection of home goods and clothing items. Also, wines, bulk hers, spices, flours... I popped into this lovely shop hunger for a quick bite before hitting the road back to PDX. I had a rainbow wrap and it was filled with perfectly crisp, fresh veggies, a delicious hummus, and pickles that brought the flavor zing. It was wrapped in the perfect tortilla that tied it all together. The power ball I had was delicious, rolled in sesame seeds and the ginger cookie rocked. The friendly service and amazing food made me wish it was my corner grocery store. Will definitely be going back next time I am at the coast read more

I want to love this place, I really do. I used to work at a Co-op that was set up similarly. The difference? Friendliness! We were friendly to everyone, Wild seems to only like their own people. If you don't look like them, or are older, or obviously from out of town, be prepared to be treated rudely. I'm sure their food is great, but I couldn't order it to try because the rude, 'I'm better then you' attitude completely took away my appetite. Unfortunately, I am done trying and will not be back even though we have a place not far away and visit Manzanita regularly. read more

It was surprising to me that Cannon Beach didnt have a natural foods store, but word on the street was there was something "like that" in Manzanita. So, we hopped in the car and made our lovley little trek to Manzanita. Lo and behold, it WAS "something like that" and more! This was a great little store to find...vegan and gluten-free options galore, as well as non-dairy options. We were also on the hunt for Tiger Balm...which should be an easy find, but definitely wasnt along the coastline drug stores and markets....thank goodness Mother Nature's had it, however. I would definitely recommend Mother Nature's if you are pickier about what you put in and on your bodies and happen to be at the Oregon coast! read more

A gem of a store to have on the main drag of Manzanita. It's basically a mini Whole Foods with a cafe. They stock gluten free ice cream and Dry Soda! They have tons of snack foods and produce to select from. They have a nice wine selection, too! read more

This place is not large but crammed with all sorts of good stuff, including some "ethnic" food. There are bulk bins of grains, beans and dried fruits, but the real find is the spice section in the back. They have loose spices, not small jars of overpriced spaces and herbs usually found in supermarkets. The range is extensive, I was looking for star anise, coriander seeds, and cumin seeds. They had them all. They carry a good selection of dairy products, including Strauss yoghurt. They also carry wine and fresh vegetables. If you like to cook, this is a great place to find what you need. read more

I like to fish for crabs in the bay, then supplement dinner with whatever I can find in here. I recommend them if you're someone with lots of food issues. If you're someone like me, who simply prefers to buy local and chemical free-- it's the perfect place as well. Just about everything you would find in the organic section at Freddy's plus some. Great place to pick up any toiletries you might need. The other grocery store in town is great too, but if I'm going to spend $6 dollars for a tube of Crest toothpaste-- I would much rather go across the street to Mother Natures and buy toothpaste that is actually worth $6. As with just about any place on the North Coast, they have a great wine selection. They are a bit spendy, but that's to be expected on the coast. read more

I come to Manzanita several times a year to take a break from the city and it's wonderful to have a local food store...eliminating the need to truck a car-load down with me. The prices are a little high but you can't beat their stock of specialty items. I relied on them for gluten-free products when I brought some friends down last summer. I like consistency. Mother Nature's is always a pleasure to pop into and look about for something new and fresh. Mother Nature always has a decent selection (seems to have more variety than the Astoria CoOp), awesome knowledgeable staff who are friendly, laid back, and cool, and a discount section so people like myself that aren't as versed in the healthier selection of products can try and explore new flavours and not feel raped and pillaged. I would love to see healthier options not cost so much so more people could afford to eat and live better. The FDA recently proposed this lame article about healthier food actually costing less, but like most government pablum, it was of no real value and quite insulting to my intelligence. I am sure these small corporations could stand to lower their base prices to make it more affordable. Our population has reached a nasty tipping point when it comes to health and nutrition. Lower prices mean higher sales volume. It is a win win. Anyway, back to the review.....ADD is a terrible.....uhhhh, hey a bird!!!...where was I? Mother's is a nice alternative to the local shops that prey upon the tourist dollar and locals laziness / lack of options to shop and get more competitive prices. If you are gong to pay a lot more, you might as well get healthier options. read more

I've always loved this little shop and like to stop when I am visiting the coast, but the current owner (or perhaps manager?) was hurtful to employees in my presence. I entered the store and was well received by an older woman, but as I was checking out the supplement section I heard some inappropriate and, quite frankly, abusive words spoke at an worker over who-knows-what. Of course a manager needs to keep their team in check, but what I heard made me uncomfortable and didn't seem necessary to the store or job, not to mention that a customer was there. I ended up leaving and going down toward the ocean to a different shop with a lot of the same products for a cheaper price. I hope this doesn't happen often, maybe it was just a weird day. read more
