The stylist here was nice enough, but she just didn't give me the cut I wanted. I went into Wild Hair in Boca Raton asking for a very specific, simple look: short in the back and long in the front. While the back and sides hit the mark, she completely missed the mark on the front. She gave me heavy, short bangs that I absolutely did not want or ask for. It completely ruins the entire silhouette of the angled cut I requested, and now I constantly have hair hanging right in my eyes. I paid $100 for the cut and left a $20 tip, but it's incredibly frustrating to walk out with a style that completely disregards my instructions. Now I'm stuck dealing with an annoying grow-out phase for bangs I never wanted. Beyond bummed, should have never happened. In response to business's comment: while a consultation did take place, there was a clear disconnect. I did not request bangs, the specific instruction was for the front to remain chin-length. Unfortunately, this is not the result I left with. I stand by my original experience as the final cut did not align with what was discussed. read more

Keratin - this is what I come to Wild Hare for. Joey is the best keratin artist I have found. He studied years ago before anyone even knew what keratin was. He gives very good instruction on how to care for your hair once keratin is done. What I find odd about this salon is if you want your hair colored they want you to go to a "colorist" (even though I'm pretty sure Joey can do color) - anyway I will keep going to my other salon for my color and Joey for my keratin and trim. People at the front are excellent and Joey works 7 days a week. read more

Let me start this with a disclaimer here. I grew up with the son of the family that owns this salon. That is not the reason for the rating. The reasons are below. I started coming here after the stylist I went to for my whole life decided to retire. I didn't know whether to shit, or eat a banana at that point. I'm not the best in articulating how I like my hair to be cut. The reasoning for this? I haven't had to often, however, when I had to, I did a terrible job and ended up with an embarrassing haircut. I prefer to just sit down in a chair and let the stylist do their thing. My first visit here was right after my usual gal retired. I made an appointment with Samantha, that came recommended to me. On that very first visit, I sat down and when asked how I wanted it cut, I told Samantha to just do her thing. She spent a lot of time on it, to ensure that it was perfect. Samantha would constantly ask if I was happy and I was. All in all I took about an hour for that first haircut, but I didn't mind at all. Plus when I'm desperate for a haircut, it is usually weeks after I've really needed one to look presentable again lol. Samantha did an excellent job. So much so, that when I got home, my wife made a comment about how well she liked it. That sealed the deal right there and I've been going to Samantha ever since! Samantha recently had a baby and hasn't worked since. Again, I didn't know whether to shit, or eat a banana! Thankfully Samantha recommended Trish to me. I've been going to Trish the last six months, or so and she has been top notch. She is super friendly and funny as well! My wife has been happy with the outcome, thank God! The salon is large and spacious which I appreciate. I hate being packed in a can of sardines with a passion and am stoked that doesn't occur here. The people that work here, are happy and love what they do. You can tell, which is a big plus to me. While some may consider it pricey here, I find it to be reasonable and in line with what other places charge. In conclusion, I'll continue to get my hair cut by Trish here. I highly recommend her and Wild Hare. Trust me you won't be disappointed! One last thing to let my dudes know. There is always some serious talent to be seen here! read more

I arrived at Wild Hare for my first haircut at this salon. I was assigned Adriana for my cut and it started off ok. About 10 mins, shaky hands and two spots straight to my scalp, she ran off to the restroom. Adriana did not return. The receptionist Cheryl, came to ask if another stylist could finish as Adriana was sick and not returning. I agreed and went to sit with George M. Let me say this. I am very happy with how my hair turned out after about 45 mins in George's chair. He corrected the mistakes and completely turned around the haircut. I will return to this salon to ONLY have George cut my hair. After this haircut was over, Mary the manager came to the chair and expressed her apology for my experience stating that this is not the Wild Hare way. She is awesome. As much as I don't like salons or coming on a Saturday- I would probably ONLY come when Cheryl, Christina, Mary, George M and Bobby (hair wash dude- such a funny guy!!!) Went here for a formal do, wasn't sure if I was doing up or down, said I'd trust the girl to do what she needed after giving her an idea of what I was looking for. She was so negative, like total downer the entire time I was in the chair. I paid $50 for a blow out- so ridiculous, could have done it myself. I Just called this place for hair straightening appointment. The women on the phone needs to have some soft skills training. She wouldn't let me finish my sentence and kept saying she is too busy on the weekends for a consult. My suggestion to that women is simple , if you are too busy to offer a consult try to be polite about it , i understand you guys are busy but there is a way in handling calls. Second thing is she was more interested in knowing where did i get to know about the salon. The moment i called her , she said well we are too busy on the weekends. I have been coming here for a couple months now after having a horrible and pretty disastrous experience to my hair somewhere else, and only can say good things about this place, every single time I call I get an amazing customer service, and the place is impeccable from the second you walk in. I have my color gloss done with Bri and she is a real professional and knows exactly what is going on with your hair, pigmentation and she makes sure you come out happy as you can be of the place, she explains what is happening and what is going to happen so no hidden surprises! Today I got my 1st haircut with George and he is amazing, I explained I was a long hair girl and didn't want any of my length to go away, so he delivered making my hair look healthy and beautifully shaped again, he is a perfectionist and trust me that's what you are looking for when someone it's about to put scissors on your head! Oh my goodness! Can I tell you it gives me so much anxiety finding somewhere to go when I need my beauty maintenance done! I moved down from New Jersey two years ago; it took me this long to experience this salon! SO professional and welcoming, everyone in here. Everywhere is genuinely smiling and so interactive with all of their clients. I was so happy when I sent in for an appointment request online the other night and the next morning I was scheduled to come in later that day. It was perfect. I was referred to Sam at Wild Hare Salon & Spa and I am thoroughly impressed with her, her abilities as a stylist and with the salon as well. I moved to Florida a year ago and I was still getting my blonde hair highlighted by my stylist back in St. Louis, because it took me a long time to find a stylist that understood me and the color that I wanted, and could produce consistent beautiful highlights. I was very apprehensive about going to someone new who may not be able to produce the same results. Well, I found that stylist in Sam. I showed her a photo of my hair after it was last highlighted and asked her if she could match it. She did! She took the time to talk to me, listened and comprehended what I was looking to do. A couple of months later, days before my next appointment, I made a decision to go red. A beautiful deep, auburn red. I emailed Sam and asked her if she could do red and she assured me that she could. Sam took the time to save the photo and consult with a master colorist at the Wild Hare and was prepared when I arrived for my hair color makeover. If anyone has ever changed their hair color drastically, they know how nerve-racking it is. Sam explained the process to me and talked me through every step of the way. Sam's level of professionalism made me feel very confident that it would be perfect. And it was. The color that Sam created for me was exactly what I wanted. She also guided me in how to care for the color and offered her services to come back within the first month to get a touch-up rinse. As you know, going from blonde to red is difficult and does require maintenance. That gesture was much appreciated. Leah at the salon also dyed and shaped my eyebrows to complement my new hair color. As I said, I am thoroughly impressed with Sam, Leah and the Wild Hare Salon & Spa staff. I would recommend Sam and the salon to anyone contemplating switching to a new styilst. read more

Prices are competitive with other salons, but talent and the little touches towards their clients make such a difference. Ashley does my highlights and blonde and it always turns out beautiful. Called in at the last minute and said I wanted someone who was great with short hair and creative - well me - meet Elaine. She was fantastic, she took her time, she combed through my hair to get the feel of how it moved and we talked. She took great care in how she cut my hair she used three different types of cutting tools from a razor which my hair always does great with. We did an under cut with long on top. After she blow dryed my hair she did some finishing touches. We talked color concepts and I will be back for color. I give Elaine two thumbs up and I have super cut hair right now - you must might be jealous :). One other thing the shampoo guy was really good as well, I felt very relaxed. read more

Horrible customer service! I called on a Saturday to book an appointment for a BKT. The receptionist first asked me info about my hair type which I described . She asked me who I was booking with I did not know so she said well it will be with Mark she proceeded to ask me how I heard about them (Internet and a friend). I then asked what BKT products they used she replied "Amazon" and that was the only one they used. Is this one you can wash the next day I asked. She said no. So I assume it contains formaldehyde! She replied yes and a "TON" of it! Not sure this salon wants more clientele with answers like that! I'll skip on that one! By the way I am not a coupon nor groupon user but a very good tipper for satisfying hair job! Want a Ouidad haircut? FULL STOP! Never go to Wild Hare for a Ouidad cut. I should have gotten the hint when they washed and conditioned my hair without using the Ouidad products Next was the haircut. I told the stylist that I just wanted a trim and get the curl back. She cut my sides in short layers and never used the "slice and dice " method that a Ouidad cut gets. I'm still mad a myself for just sitting there. My hair now doesn't curl. It just frizzes. I am not a complainer. I just don't want this to happen to anyone else. read more
