The hospitality and customer service is rude. The shop called the police on me because I was across the street selling gift baskets with no flowers. They said I was stealing business from them when I had no flowers. I was referring people to them because I didn't have flowers. If you check their site it says they are closed today. Never meant any disrespect and they could just walked across the street and had a normal conversation. It's Mother's Day and they are calling the police on other mothers.

I turned to Wild Orchid for a funeral spray to be delivered for a Sunday service. I told them what colors I wanted and left it up to the designer to make it happen. The spray was so incredibly beautiful. The flowers were fresh and full, it was absolutely gorgeous. And it was large. I spent $250 and it looked like I easily spent 1000. It was stunning and so appropriate for the moment. The colors were bold and bright and brought a lightness to the moment. They perfectly reflected the joy and brightness of the person we lost. I can't thank Wild Orchid enough for such gorgeous flowers and spot on service. read more

Called last minute for a boutonniere for my son's homecoming. The girl who answered the phone was so sweet. I would presume she was the owner, but either way she was so nice about my last-minute call and was willing to help me. She listened to my request and made me feel like it was no problem. I showed up the next day to get it and it was ready for me. Her pricing was very fair and the end product was beautiful. Funny enough, I thought, for sure my son would not wear it with his all black suit, and then all of his friend said how good it looked and gave a little spark to his outfit!! The website doesn't do them justice. The flowers that were delivered were gorgeous. The delivery person was one of theirs not a third party and they were so friendly and knowledgeable. They mentioned that the orchids were Bebe grown by the florist. We would use them again, the value of the goods and services was great. read more

Talk about a world-class Florist! I cannot say enough good about the quality and class that comes from this shop. Katie the owner goes above and beyond to make sure that the quality that comes out of this shop is above the rest. I came in on Thursday frantic because my daughter at the last minute needed a bridal bouquet and a boutonniere for her wedding the next day! Katie, The wonderful person she is totally took care of us. The next morning I picked up the most gorgeous bouquet and boutonniere. Just icing on the cake for my daughters perfect wedding! And we're talking some good icing! I would go nowhere else! This is another one of those companies with great business ethics. I live in Los Angeles and wanted to send my mom (in Santee) flowers that looked better than 1800 flowers quality/price. The owner answered the phone pleasantly and answered all my questions. She transferred me to her point person Abby who understood every detail I shared, referring to a Yelp photo for inspiration as well as within my budget. The arrangement turned out amazing and both my mom and sister were eager to know where the flowers were from?! I love supporting a woman owned business that has dignity and style! Excellent job on the flowers! We got Smile and Shine (standard) and the flowers were in great shape and very beautiful. So many colors! I have used them three other times in the past and always had very good service and flowers. My experience in the past with other florists have been spotty at best. The site was easy to navigate, the pictures were beautiful and it was easy to create my order for delivery for a 75th birthday party. I did call Wild Orchid Florist to confirm my order went thru the night before. Very nice customer service and I was assured they would take care of the arrangement and delivery. Just received a phone call from the birthday girl plus the pictures! She loved the arrangement. The flowers were beautiful! Katherine and her team were just absolutely amazing to work with! I walked into her floral shop with one thing in mind and came out with something completely different- her shop has some really great inspiration and she had a little corner that I just fell in love with. She was able to pick up on my vision really quickly and ran with it- this was such a relief because our venue was a DIY venue and it's hard to think of the little details but Katherine and her team really went above and beyond to pull the entire aesthetic together. I was contemplating on getting real flowers and then was thinking I could do it on my own.....so glad I didn't- this ended up being my favorite piece of the wedding and made the venue feel more romantic! I found Wild Orchid Florist when the pandemic just hit. A lot of flower shops were closed during this time and I needed sympathy flowers for a family friend. I made a couple of calls that day and the only business that picked up from my list was WOF. I was very grateful that Kate answered my call, was able to accommodate my order and most of all she made it safe for me to pick up my beautiful flower arrangement via curbside. Meet the Business Owner: Katherine B.

Hello, I'm Katherine, the proud owner of Wild Orchid Florist! My passion for floral design started at 16 when I landed my first job at Wild Orchid Florist under the mentorship of its former owner, David Daoud. With a background in Fine Arts, my first language was painting—expressing myself through mixed mediums, colors, and designs. As my creativity grew, I pursued further education in Europe, studying in Belgium and the Netherlands under top floral designers. I later completed advanced floral courses in Los Angeles before returning to my roots in San Diego. Over 24 years, I’ve explored every facet of floral artistry, perfecting my craft and deepening my love for flowers. In 2016, I acquired Wild Orchid Florist. Watching its transformation from a modest flower shop into a thriving creative space has been an incredible journey. My dedicated team and I are passionate about curating unique floral arrangements, bringing beauty and meaning to life’s special moments.

Five stars. They lasted four days, hence the two star review. I am so disappointed I was not able to enjoy them for even a week. Normally a couple will droop or die and can be pulled to save the arrangement but when I woke up yesterday morning EVERY SINGLE ROSE was collapsed - and most of the lilies too. A couple lilies are still hanging in there , but I can't imagine what my family paid for this arrangement. So disappointed. Photos tell the story.

With that said I not only research local florists online but I cross reference them on Yelp. This is why I chose to use Jasmine Creek Florist. However I was met with disappointment because the flowers pictured on their site and what was delivered were not the same. Most people probably don't end up seeing what they sent however the person sent me a picture to thank me and I couldn't believe that it didn't look like what I had ordered. When I called the florist I asked if they had an email (because I wanted to send them pictures and explain my experience and the one they sent me was from a noreply address) However when I ask if they had an email the man on the phone (Roz) replied back with "for $5.00" I was shocked by that response and was silent for a bit until he then laughed and said just kidding. Completely unprofessional. He ended up giving it to me and then is what I wrote and his response. Btw if anyone wants their email it's bev@jasmincreek.sdcoxmail.com He also informed me that if they don't have the flowers pictured on the website they try to make it similar. I would have expected them to reach out to me prior to sending them asking if it's ok if they use other flowers (which btw were way less expensive than the ones I chose). My email: Good morning, The flowers delivered yesterday are nothing like the one in the picture below. I like to support local florists instead of 1-800 Flowers but I have to say I am disappointed in what was delivered. Also, I only post nice things on Yelp and not negative things because I don't like to bring businesses down as a lot of people are struggling to keep doors open, this is why I am emailing you instead. With that said, I hope that you improve your quality and send out what you advertise in your pictures. Their response: Melissa, We are so sorry you are not happy. Would you like for us to remake your order and swap them out? We would be more than happy to do that for you. We do strive to make beautiful florals, unfortunately sometimes we do not have everything needed and have to make substitutes in order to deliver in a timely manor. Let me know how we can make this correct for you. Roz I opted to not get new flowers from them because it would be a waste of both of our time and I don't trust they would send a nice one. Not to mention he offered to swap them out in his email. What does that mean? They would take the previous one back and swap it out with a new one. That's just weird. I will never use this florist again and urge people to do the same.

Holly who was working the register, made zero eye contact and spoke to me like she wished I would leave and our interaction would be over with. The girl in the back, Hailey looked at me complete irritation when I asked if I had met her before. As a former employee, this is completely unacceptable. The business was well-organized and kept its schedule reliably, attractive traits to a nerd such as myself, and it sold its creations at a reasonable price. I could drop off a vase at the shop, conveniently located in Bay Ho, and, a few days later, either pick up my flowers or have them delivered to my house. However, by fall of 2019, owners Sarah Newstead and Jennifer Bull were gone, and the shop had moved from San Diego to Coronado Island, a virtual world away from the one I inhabit. Prices had risen, phone calls were no longer promptly returned, and the whole enterprise began to feel desperate and amateurish, like Mom had left the kids in charge, and maybe they were in a little over their heads. I expressed my discontent with my experience, and she did repeatedly apologize for how I felt, but her tone was distasteful. I mistakingly referred to my order placement as a consultation, to which she said, "There was no consultation, my love you just ordered a floral arrangement," which demeans the $50 price I paid for the bouquet. She made it seem like my purchase was not enough to receive a 5 star level of service. She rudely let me know that I was talking in circles during the phone conversation, and assured me that she had over 300 positive reviews and has been in business for over 10+ years. Extensive experience does not justify poor customer service. The owner called me "honey" and "my love" repeatedly over the phone in a condescending tone, which I let her know felt demeaning, and she continued to refer to me using those words. This is a business that deals with celebrations and happy moments, and I did not leave feeling any positive emotions about my purchase.

And brown tipped ugly sad gloomy dead supposed to be white orchids. All the flowers were mini and there was string showing already! The Lei was shoved in a bag in a box wrapped with an ice pack. I had to sadly compost it. It was that sad. After all that. Only gave me a partial refund and won't respond anymore to me. Please Don't give this place anymore chances to screw up and scam you into buying dead flowers with carnations as fillers. (the other pics of them doing the exact same thing to other customers!)

I have been using floral arrangements for just about any occasion. Every one has been absolutely gorgeous. I think David takes special care of his customers and I have never been disappointed. I always get compliments on what I send, At my husbands funeral last year,he had all long stem yellow roses as per my request at the memorial service, they lasted for days. Several huge arrangements.Beautiful, firm flowers and very fresh. I 100 % recommend Wild Orchid Florist and I am sorry Sadie had a bad experince. There had to have been some kind of mixup. I believe Wild Orchid delivered them and possibly the card got lost.He is very fair. He always adds greenery and specialty enhancements for a beautiful arrangement. read more
