I want to start off by saying that I pride myself in supporting businesses especially when it comes to florists instead of using 1-800 Flowers. With that said I not only research local florists online but I cross reference them on Yelp. This is why I chose to use Jasmine Creek Florist. However I was met with disappointment because the flowers pictured on their site and what was delivered were not the same. Most people probably don't end up seeing what they sent however the person sent me a picture to thank me and I couldn't believe that it didn't look like what I had ordered. When I called the florist I asked if they had an email (because I wanted to send them pictures and explain my experience and the one they sent me was from a noreply address) However when I ask if they had an email the man on the phone (Roz) replied back with "for $5.00" I was shocked by that response and was silent for a bit until he then laughed and said just kidding. Completely unprofessional. He ended up giving it to me and then is what I wrote and his response. Btw if anyone wants their email it's bev@jasmincreek.sdcoxmail.com He also informed me that if they don't have the flowers pictured on the website they try to make it similar. I would have expected them to reach out to me prior to sending them asking if it's ok if they use other flowers (which btw were way less expensive than the ones I chose). My email: Good morning, The flowers delivered yesterday are nothing like the one in the picture below. I like to support local florists instead of 1-800 Flowers but I have to say I am disappointed in what was delivered. Also, I only post nice things on Yelp and not negative things because I don't like to bring businesses down as a lot of people are struggling to keep doors open, this is why I am emailing you instead. With that said, I hope that you improve your quality and send out what you advertise in your pictures. Their response: Melissa, We are so sorry you are not happy. Would you like for us to remake your order and swap them out? We would be more than happy to do that for you. We do strive to make beautiful florals, unfortunately sometimes we do not have everything needed and have to make substitutes in order to deliver in a timely manor. Let me know how we can make this correct for you. Roz I opted to not get new flowers from them because it would be a waste of both of our time and I don't trust they would send a nice one. Not to mention he offered to swap them out in his email. What does that mean? They would take the previous one back and swap it out with a new one. That's just weird. I knew from Beverley's attention to detail and excitement during our initial consultation that our flowers would be gorgeous. I did NOT, however, expect to have the most beautiful flowers that I have ever seen in my life!!!! Okay okay, I know that I'm a little biased because it was my wedding, but OH MY GOODNESS THEY WERE PERFECT! I have been bragging and bragging about how reasonably priced my flowers were, but if you were there that day or saw pictures, you'd absolutely think we paid 2 or 3 times as much. I had a terrible experience with this company who shows no empathy and lacks integrity. I was in a rush to get an affordable floral arrangement for my sister's funeral and they said they could help me out. I asked for the abosulte cheapest arrangement and when it was ready, they charged me nearly 500 dollars for an arrangement they made with all the most expensive exotic flowers. I said this is not what I wanted, as I am on a budget and cannot really afford this. They seemed surprised and shocked that I wasn't happy with the arrangement because they "used all their best exotic flowers". I asked them why they would use those flowers when I was very clear about wanting them to use the cheapest ones so I wouldn't have to spend 500$. They were not understanding at all and quite rude. They showed no empathy for a family who just lost their sister. Money is their focus, not providing people with what they ask for or caring about their needs. I still paid the money as I desperately needed a flower arrangement for the burial that was the very next day but I will never come back to this business again and would not recommend to anyone. read more

Flower arrangements are beautiful as much because of the people who make them as the materials used. After twenty three years as a Jasmine Creek customer I had an experience, today, that was anything but beautiful. Let me explain-- I ordered two items, an arrangement for a friend's birthday and an orchid as a thank you to someone who stepped in at a difficult time. For the friend, I was direct and detailed about color, style, and plant material I wanted used. I was told that this would be no problem. When I received a picture of the arrangement from my friend, I discovered the arrangement had little resemblance to what was requested. I debated about whether to call but felt the manager would want to know. When I called, I didn't ask for a refund or a redo, I just shared from my heart. When the manager came on the line I asked if she had a bit of time to speak. She answered by saying, "I have just a minute" with that abrupt voice that we have all heard and dread. I could tell immediately that the call was not going to go well. My sharing was met with defensive posturing and excuses. "Young, temporary employees hired for the holiday..." "They don't know flowers..." "As long as your friend was happy..." She completely and utterly blew me off. I thanked her for her time and hung up. Then, I went to my online bank account and noted that for one arrangement and an orchid I had been charged nearly $300. I called back and the manager answered the phone with, "What's the problem now." I shared that I had been overcharged for the orchid. She started by saying, "Well, you should have received a receipt and could have brought it to our attention at that time." I did not receive the receipt because it was discovered that the salesperson had written my email address down incorrectly. From there, the manager began arguing with me and saying that they never had an orchid for the price I was quoted. Then, I couldn't believe what I heard..."if you want us to, we can go get the orchid and trade it for a smaller one that you can afford." I asked her to repeat herself. She did. Can you imagine? Either from disdain or cluelessness, this kind of attitude, this kind of customer service (or lack thereof) should never be tolerated. To think that the manager of this floral boutique was suggesting that the orchid I purchased (for which I was charged $150) as a thank you to a remarkable woman, should be taken back, is unfathomable. After asking over and over again to speak to the owner, the manager finally said she would credit my account at which point I simply said, "good," and hung up the phone. There was no reason to continue being subjected to such unprofessional behavior. Truly, one of the worst experiences I have ever encountered. When I did not receive a receipt, as promised, no record of the transaction other than the original charges, I called to ask that it be resent. The manager answered the phone and, when I shared that perhaps my email address had been misspelled she said, "I am not quite that stupid but go ahead." Wow. Just wow. Beautiful flowers can be purchased from anyone. It's the experience...the people...behind them that customers remember the most. There is never an excuse for rude behavior--not stress of a holiday. Not untrained employees. Not a customer's expectations. As the older reviews here attest, Jasmine Creek used to be remarkable. So sad for my experience, an indication that things have changed. After twenty three years as a Jasmine Creek customer, I won't be calling again. Ever. read more

Unbelievably disappointed, next door at the market there were beautiful bouquets of multicolored flowers for 15.99. I only needed a few, so I thought I would go to the florist, next door. I paid 19.99 plus tax for 11 sad yellow carnations, they don't even smell good and I was there for a full three or four minutes before they even noticed me , even though there was no one else in the store.
