Well, I am very pleasantly surprised! Wild Wings' menu has expanded - and I am impressed! First of all, they now offer salads and wraps, dill pickle spears and onion rings, a pretzel @. $6.00, as well as their wide variety of wings - breaded or not, choices of sauces, from plain to hit the roof spicy. But now they also state the calorie count in each dish. Way to go Wild Wings! I will definitely be back! To top this all off they were open New Year's Day, and accommodated our group of 9, although they only had 2 servers working today. Service was good. And the food was really tasty. read more

If it were possible to give 0 stars, I would. I ordered some wings and fries for delivery on their website, expecting Wild Wings to deliver what I ordered. Instead, an Uber driver delivered a salad. I then called them back and explained the problem and the woman on the phone told me that someone would call me back with a solution, after putting me on hold. I then waited an hour, optimistically expecting a call, or for my food that I paid over $100 for to show up. I then called them back because I was getting hungry, and the woman on the phone then proceeded to tell me that someone would call me back tomorrow, which is most likely the worst response I have ever received in customer service. I work customer service so it was easy for me to tell how atrocious this was. I then asked for the manager, and the lady told me that there was no manager on site. I then asked for the highest person up who was present so I could speak to them, and the woman argued with me before putting me on hold without asking. Someone who I assume was her supervisor picked up the phone and told me that they had my food for over an hour just sitting there and no one was inquisitive enough to question who's food that was or why it was there. The man told me the food was there and that it had came up 5mins after I had first called and no one thought to call me back. He said that although it was there and now cold, they had no one to deliver it and that he could not do anything for me, even though their website says that it was them who delivered, not Uber. But the worst part was they let us think that our food was coming for an hour and no one thought to call me back and let me know that I could've come to pick up my food because there was no driver. It was not their fault, even though the customer service and how everything was handled could've been much better, it is head office's fault for falsely advertising that they deliver and creating a system that is irreversible, unless you're some magic manager who is not on site on a Saturday night. *Note: I've been here previously and it was a decent experience, though our server on that occasion informed us our choice of beer for the 60oz tower would be $1-$2 more than Molson Canadian, and when we received our bill, it was $9 more. No heads up from her of course. She's actually the one who pretended to be the manager on this visit that I've detailed below. My friends and I had quite the experience at Wild Wing. They're not from Ottawa, and they had heard about it, so we chose the location nearest to me at Prince of Wales Drive. We arrived around 7PM to about 70% capacity. We were seated immediately but asked if we could switch tables a few minutes later because a party of six just walked in - sure, no problem. The hostess was great about it and cleaned our new table quickly. About 12 minutes later, we finally met our server, Jen, for the night. She asked my one friend and I what we'd like to drink, we gave our order, and my buddy's girlfriend gave hers. 10 more minutes passed - Jen returns with our mini pitcher, drops it off quick and leaves. 15 more minutes pass, and in that time we see Jen over behind the bar texting, laughing, having a good 'ole time. We flag down a hostess/bus girl and mention that my friends' girlfriend never got her drink. Jen shows up and starts flailing her arms and talking like a textbook 'ditzy blonde' and says "Well, you like never ordered a drink so like am I supposed to just guess what you want?" NEVER have I felt like that in a restaurant. NEVER. It didn't end there though. The lack of service continued with a 30 minutes wait to get our 2nd beers that were part of the Pint & a Pound offer that we all ordered. As for the food - it wasn't bad all around. My wings were perfect, though the couple I was with both had boneless wings, and they seemed to be overcooked and almost hard to eat. His girlfriend ordered Honey BBQ but they had a strong vinegar flavor to them. His were just hard and very dark from the oil. It ended with Jen taking the cash for the bill and saying "I'll be right back with the change." 10-15 minutes later we had to, AGAIN, flag down a hostess/bus girl to go get our server, and at this point we requested a manager. Of course, there was no manager available because another young girl whose name escapes me, came to the table and basically apologized but said there was nothing she could do. I know she's not a manager because she's been my server on other occasions, and I've seen the manager walking around in the past, talking with customers. Eventually, we did get the change, and needless to say, Jen didn't get a tip from us. As much as I love the wings at Wild Wing, I actually don't know if I can bring myself to go back. As for my friends, the next time they come to Ottawa, pretty sure they won't be interested either. I get it - there's a Blue Jays games and it's busy. But when a table of six that was seated after us, at our original table actually, gets their appetizers before we've even got drinks - that's a piss-off. In the end, it was a little over two hours spent, and I wish I didn't waste my time or money bringing my friends there. read more

This is the place to come for wings! Their selection of wings is tremendous. If you like honey garlic...you have at least 3 different types of honey garlic twists. If you like spicy wings then you have a great selection to choose from. It's fun to mix and match with friends. If you don't like wings then you have burgers and things to choose from. Worst dining experience ever! We attended this location as it was on the way to where we were headed. We have been to the Kanata location on several occasions and have never had an issue. We have ordered mainly wings during those visits and a few sides. The food has never disappointed and neither has the service. Keep in mind I'm speaking to our previous experiences at the Kanata location. Upon our arrival to this location we were immediately seated at a booth that was cleaned for us. The place was not busy despite a hockey game on. We ordered almost immediately after being seated as it was getting late. This is where it all went down hill. Other than a few take out orders we were the only ones seated that were still eating. Other patrons appeared to have been there for the game and had already eaten as no other food was being delievered. Our server never checked in on us since placing our orders. It was roughly 45 minutes later that we received our food. In addition to unexplainable long wait the food arrives barely warm, borderline cold, suggesting the food had been done and was sitting there waiting to be brought out. Once again after the food was brought, we again, never hear from our server ever again until we are just about finished and needed to pay. Unfortunately due to time and how late it had gotten we were unable to address our dissatisfaction. Absolutely brutal and beyond words. Whats even more agitating is the fact I cannot understand how our visit tonight could have been that horrible, given the circumstances. This location is great for my roommates and I since it is within walking distance of our house! A fun place to go to couple times a month for a cold beer and reasonably priced food. We love to try out new wing flavours, and the kitchen always delivers tender and tasty wings. The service is fair, though they seem to be constantly understaffed and the waitresses seem stressed on busy nights.. maybe time for management to hire extra help? I went to Wild Wing for lunch and expected just mediocre junk food. There is a sign on the table saying download the app and get a free app - so my friend and I downloaded the app and I registered and then clicked get deal - the waitress then informed me apparently she is supposed to do that and not me, otherwise she cant prove that I just downloaded the app, but I said I could show proof because I just received the welcome e-mail and the e-mail saying you have a reward. This also seems strange because a server should not be touching a phone as a food safety rule. I ordered the potato skins and they were decent. I ordered the southwest chicken flatbread and was disappointed with the result because they forgot the red peppers so it was just chicken, marinara, cheese and onions. Probably would have been much better with the red peppers, but still okay. The food is definitely nothing fancy and should probably stick to wings there. read more

the worst restaurant expierence I've ever had . i came with a group of 6 after work, so around 9 pm. It took over 30 minutes for anyone to take our order. once the food arrived someone started to mop the floor around our table with a strong disinfectant. We were the only ones there but he started with our area to make it clear they were closing and we were supposed to leave, even though we had just received our food, well most of us. one person never did get his order. The calamari was horrible. two of us had ordered it . we told the server who shrugged and said "this is a wing place". we went over to the desk with the rest to pay and repeaed that the food was inedible. we still had to pay for it. no apologies. no offer of a reduction.
