Their customer service is great and I very easily scheduled my move. The two guys who showed up were very nice and polite - a pleasant change from what I have experienced with other movers. And they did a great job moving the furniture from the second floor down the stairs. However, there were several issues: 1. You pay by the hour, which should be good. But the truck they brought was too small to hold everything, so they had to make two trips - which meant more time and more money than should have been necessary. 2. I always buy the insurance for a move because I figure that will ensure that they take better care of my stuff. But for some reason, the insurance only applies to one truckload. And since they had to make two trips, that meant that I had to chose which truckload to insure (or pay the insurance twice). That makes absolutely no sense. 3. Apparently my theory about having the insurance and that meaning they would take better care of my stuff was wrong. These guys beat the crap out of almost every piece of furniture. We moved everything across the country with virtually no damage but these guys couldn't move our stuff 15 minutes up the road without almost piece being dinged, scratched, chipped, and scuffed. I have no idea how they damaged everything so badly. And some was deliberate - they ripped a hole in the bottom of a mattress in order to carry it easier. 4. Our move took place over the summer and it was hot. I know guys sweat, but I really wish they had some way of not getting sweat all over my furniture. They didn't wear gloves and didn't use any kind of protection when moving or carrying anything. So, our pillows, suede couch, mattresses, etc. all were drenched with sweat. So gross. I had to clean everything. 5. I contacted a manager about having the damaged fixed (what was possible anyway - you can't fix scuffed leather). The guy that showed up was not happy to be there and basically just had colored pens and some paint that he dabbed on the scratches and dings. I could have done that. He would drop his tools on our newly refinished floor and didn't seem to care about not causing further damage. Very disappointing. The price wasn't bad and the movers/managers were nice, but it is disappointing to have this kind of damage to our furniture. I wouldn't use them again. read more

I was very disappointed with wildcat. I had many colleagues at UK who spoke highly of them, so I chose them as well to move us out of state. At the initial consultation, they said I would need two trucks for my four bedroom 2500 square foot house and gave me a price. I found cheaper options, but chose them still because they came well-recommenced. They showed up with one truck and one UK mover who was hungover and literally throwing up for 30 minutes in my bathroom. They took an hour and a half lunch and tried to charge us that time PLUS the time it took to get the truck they were supposed to have in the first place. They also destroyed our furniture beyond repair, and send us a 60 dollar check with a sob story asking us not to pursue damages because they are a small company. Do yourself a favor and stay far far away. read more

If zero were an option I wouldnt give 1 star. Showed up unprepared with only three inexperienced guys to move a marble top dining table and thre vases. Did not have the right equipment so they had to use ours and my wife and I had to help them and guide them every step of the way. When delivery was made they had broken one of the vases and then lied about it being on the truck. Customer service was beyond rude and the price was outrageous. The quote started at $350 and then went to $525 the day before. Will be filing a claim for the missing and presumably broken piece which I'm sure they will not cover. Would never recommend this company to move anything. Do yourself and favor and hire Two Men and a Truck. read more

I can t help it if on that particular day I didn't get the A team. Everyone has an off day. I was relaying my experience...and believe me I have years of experience in moving and what it takes to move what they had to! But here it is, if an owner is gonna go out there and call a customer ( either potential, current, or past) an idiot and doesn't know what they are talking about, do you really want them taking care of you!? The trucks were small. Although 3 of the 4 guys were polite and respectful, the biggest guy seemed irritated about me asking him to carrying boxes to the basement. After a while, he just started putting stuff wherever. The biggest issue we had - which is huge- is that one of the guys offered to hook up our washer. We accepted his offer. 2 days later I start the first load of laundry and water gushed out of the drain hose that apparently was not hooked up at all. It flooded the 2nd floor laundry area and then flooded the basement which soaked the carpet, a tv, and a few pieces of furniture. We called a restoration company who gave a quote of $1500. Minimal charges compared to the damage that could have occurred. We contacted a manager at Wildcat and told them what happened. They sent out an employee from Wildcat home inspection. He took a couple pictures and commented that he would definitely tell the manager about the possible water damage to the tv and HVAC unit as well. By the afternoon when we still had no response from the manager, we called him back. He refused to pay the restoration company and said they weren't liable. He indicated his guy didn't get any moisture reading ( he didn't use a moisture reading tool although the restoration company did). Clearly the fault lies with Wildcat considering they hooked up the washer. It was partially connected but not near what it should have been. If they hadn't connected it at all we would have done it, but we took their word for it that they had done it. The worst part about this company is their management and poor customer service when issues arise. My husband talked to the manager several times and he attacked my husbands integrity stating " maybe the water was already there", like we would have bought a house with a flooded basement. My husband asked to talk directly to the owner since he was getting no where with the manager. The manager said he would have the owner call and we have heard nothing since. We originally schedule to move with Two Men and a Truck. We cancelled and went with Wildcat based on decent reviews and cheaper prices. Huge mistake. On a previous move with Two Men and a Truck, they accidentally broke a key off in our front door lock. They fixed it that day without any trouble at all and apologized profusely. We expected to get the same service from Wildcat but we're very disappointed. We will not hire them again. read more

We have used Wildcat Moving multiple times in the past for local moves and been very pleased. However, this time, we used them for an out-of-state move. They quoted 4-5 hours and took 9+. They used profanity in front of my youngest child and our guests. They were also not able to move our larger pieces without the help of my son. In addition, we had items broken and significant damage done to our furniture. Despite a few reminders, they forgot an entire closet full of pictures (10+). They had to come back to wrap and pack these and had to leave them on our front porch unattended since they had already locked the trailer. I contacted Drew after the completed move with multiple pictures and received a pathetic settlement. I tried to contact Drew on several occasions to discuss the settlement and have yet to receive a return call. Bottom line, I would not recommend them for long-distance moves. read more

First of all, this company completely lacks any sort of real communication. I e-mailed them the night before the move, requesting that someone give me a call to answer a few questions I had before anyone showed up. Granted, I understand the e-mail was last minute but the movers who called me the following morning only called to inform me that they were on the way and wanted to clarify the address because it wasn't showing up in their GPS. In addition, my stainless steel refrigerator was damaged during the move as it now has a scratch on the side and a scratch on the freezer handle in the front. They also damaged the Pergo in the Kitchen at the new home. The first time my wife called to report the damages, someone answered the phone and took down her information and my e-mail address. They told her that I would receive a confirmation e-mail that required pictures to illustrate the damage that was caused during the move. That e-mail never arrived and she has called back twice and left two voicemails and it has now been almost a week with no response. Secondly, the dolly that they brought had a flat tire and a wobbly tire. They proceeded to unload a filing cabinet from the truck, and as they unloaded it the wheel looked as if it was about to buckle so the experienced mover of the two moved to the right to offset the weight, fell down, and the filing cabinet fell on top of his leg. If it hadn't been for the ramp coming out of the back of the truck, it may have taken his leg off. I immediately ran to his aide and helped them lift the filing cabinet up, then offered him some ice as a result and he appeared to be fine, with a few bruises on his leg. I immediately told him to put the dolly aside and had my wife call Wildcat Movers to request another dolly, since the one they brought was in such poor shape. It took about 30 minutes for it to get there and we were charged for that time...A third guy showed up with the new dolly and offered to help move an armoire and refrigerator into our new house. This brings me to my next issue. Out of the two guys who showed up, only one knew what to do. He spent time training him and he had to learn on the fly. This is fine, except when you have someone in training, it is usually a good idea to have them shadow and assist in the experience...not be a critical part of it. I felt as if I was paying for his training and when the third guy showed up, the process sped up significantly. The problem is he only stuck around to help with two things, the refrigerator and the armoire. This unfortunately was when the refrigerator was damaged. We have a fence in our backyard and the clearance going in between there was tight. On the way in, I helped guide both of them in the right direction with no problems. Once they got to the door, they realized it wouldn't fit through the door to the basement so they had to take it back up the hill. Going back up and trying to get back out was when the refrigerator was damaged. Regardless, had this other guy been sent from the get go, the process probably would have moved along faster and smoother as a whole. The damage in the Kitchen was caused by them moving the refrigerator that was already there. The reason it scraped the floor, was because it was moved from side to side instead of forwards and backwards. I can compare this experience to "Two Men and A Truck" because I had both services in a three day period and "Two Men and a Truck" moved a much heavier, more difficult load flawlessly...and they only cost $10 more per hour...I would also like to note that they don't charge for mileage....just time. My wife and I wanted to save a little money and the reviews looked promising for Wildcat Moving, however, the experience wasn't very good. I wouldn't use them again, personally, but I do understand that sometimes, businesses have off days. Moving companies can't really afford to have an "off day," so if you have anything you really care about moving, look elsewhere. I would also like to note, that they haven't followed up with me to ask if I was satisfied with their experience...by comparison, "Two Men and A Truck" called within an hour of finishing the job... read more

As I read through these reviews I see we are apparently the minority or just ended up with the wrong crew. We moved 2 weeks ago and did all of the boxes ourselves. We hired wildcat to move the furniture only which was about 30 pieces and nothing significantly heavy. Once the two young men realized that was all they had to move the pace slowed significantly as they realized this would not be an all day job. They took repeated smoke breaks and what should have been a 4-5 hour job ended up being 9 hours. Now let's talk about the damage, when we reported the lazy effort and drawn out day the response we got was well we train our staff to take their time to ensure no damage occurs. We had damage to over 1/3 of the furniture moved, they failed to secure a tool chest properly which turned over in the move and completely dumped when they opened the door to unload. We have reported the problem and the damage is in process of being repaired but we have had no response to the complaint on the poor performance by their employees which was supposedly being "investigated ". Next time we will just do it ourselves and save the $900 spent and end up with less damaged furniture. read more

I recently used Wildcat Moving to move from GA to Lexington. They encountered some problems in that their truck broke down on the way to load my furniture. due to the breakdown, my furniture was loaded & unloaded twice as opposed to one time. I received damage to several pieces of my furniture. I believe this was due to being moved around so many times. It is currently in storage due to renovation being done on my new home. Given this, I do not yet know the true extent of the damage. On a better note, once my furniture got to Lexington, James Dorris & Blake S. Unloaded it into storage. They were polite & very professional. They were very careful with my furniture as well. I couldn't ask for anyone that would have done a better job. I've used this company three times total. The first two moves were pretty "run of the mill" moving me from PODS into my apartment, and then into my house from my apartment a couple years later. Both of those moves were quick and efficient. The movers showed up on time and worked hard until the move was done. I work for the University of Kentucky College of Fine Arts so when the time came to schedule an enormous move for our Department, I decided to call Wildcat Moving, since I'd had such good experiences previously. Unlike the previous jobs though, this move consisted of an unbelievable amount of costume stock and shop supplies as we relocated the former UK Opera Theatre costume shop into the existing University of Kentucky Department of Theatre and Dance shop spaces. Having never seen the the stock to be moved except in passing, I could only tell Bobby over the phone that the move was just going to be "really big, with lots of weird stuff. " In fact, unlike my previous moves, this one was more stress then anything which made me short and sometimes unkind on the phone. Bobby never lost his cool with me, which was pretty terrific customer service. On the day of the move, Bobby, Mark, Zach, Ryan, Taylor and John showed up exactly on time, and nine hours later they had relocated our 60+ racks of clothing and several dozen boxes, giant puppet heads, and an especially interesting souffle hat into our campus spaces. They had to deal with an obscene number of stairs and oddly shaped items, yet they never let the overwhelming task get to them, remaining pleasant and courteous the whole day. We couldn't have asked for a better group of guys and are so grateful. We even took a photo of them to put up on our Facebook page. This stock had been moved twice before, and it took over two days. Worst move ever. They underestimated the time it would take to pack my house which meant the packers were just putting objects in boxes with no wrappings ( lot of damaged items) and using wardrobe boxes when a regular box would have sufficed which in turn means more space required on the truck. They also used so much tape on the top of the boxes which again a total waste and an annoyance when trying to open the boxes. The guys loading the day were great but were on the go for almost 10 hours which means by the end of the day they were not being as careful with things as they should have been. They also left a couple of object behind at the previous house which is annoying for me and the the new homeowners. Ironing board wax one so that can't be mailed to me. Offloading in Ohio was a nightmare. The so called reputable company that wildcats used blackmailed us to pay them, the guys offloading, direct and way more than the rate. They threatened to leave if we didn't pay them what they asked. At this time the first crew had already left. Trying to get Dustin from Wildcats to assist with this situation was a joke. He had his money so what did he care. My husband was running around trying to get some crew to unpack us. I would not recommend this company for a move. read more

Our Moving experience with Wildcat Moving was truly amazing. I got quotes for literally twice as much than Wildcat Moving was estimating. I did NOT have to go through and inventory everything and present this huge list of items like all the other companies in my area require to even quote the job. They Quoted me an amount and it didn't even exceed that estimate, but I feel like it could have due to the fact that we ended up having a lot more than we had anticipated. They provided the blankets, the trucks, the backs and the brains (experienced movers that took charge and got the job done). All I had to do was provide the stuff and two addresses! The job took 2 days because we were still packing but the 3 truck loads with 2 guys per truck got the job done super fast each load. I can say with extreme confidence (because I've experienced three different sets of movers from this company) that the management is good at finding and KEEPING honest hard working people to work for them. All 6 guys were professional, friendly, fast and most importantly were genuinely concern for the safety of the items being moved. I seriously can't find one thing to complain about. To take it even further, the last day, last truck load, we asked for a delay because we were still packing and needed some more time, so they rescheduled another set of movers to accommodate our need (So cool). Anyway, the truck that was on their way to us was coming in from a morning job in Louisville and they got stuck in traffic. An accident totally blocked the two lane highway they were on so they couldn't turn around. They called me to ask me what I wanted to do (reschedule or try to get another truck and crew out to me) and I told them I needed a truck here that night because we HAD to be out by the next morning. They literally had an out, a justifiable one. They could easily have gone home after the first load they were doing in Louisville and because of the fact that the accident stopped them and didn't give them enough time to get to our job and do ours in time to be done by 11pm, it would have been understandable (by both their bosses and me the customer). But they decided to stick it out and wait through the clearing of the accident and come to our rescue anyway. It was OUR fault we weren't ready for the move like we should have been and asked for a delayed second truck that day, but they made it happen. I will NEVER use anyone but Wildcat Moving.I just can't stress enough to anyone that's considering them over anyone else, that Wildcat Moving stands head and shoulders above the competition! read more

Absolutely terrible. Going with Wildcat movers is the equivalent of hiring random people off of the street to do your move. First, they showed up two hours late. Secondly, it was two of their movers FIRST moving job - they literally threw boxes marked FRAGILE into the van / storage unit and damaged quite a number of our items. They would take 5-10 minute drink breaks during the move (not staggered - all of the guys at once) which easily added an additional 30-45 minutes to our move. Disaster and not worth it. Wildcat movers relocated my belongings two years ago. Beware of anyone that gives you a quote over the phone. They only have box trucks. It ended up costing me 3 times the quote. Plus they put packing tape directly on the doors to my antique secretary that stripped the finish off. They also took the table top off of the pedestal of my dining room table that caused the 300 year old Italian reclaimed wood to split on the pedestal when they tried to screw it back on. I've never given a bad review for anyone before. I just hope to warn everyone. It cost over $4000 to move 70 miles. read more

Customer service is awful, every complaint is met with the excuse that it is not their fault. We used Wildcat Movers for two local moves -- one from Versailles to Lexington, and another to help unload a PODS unit. They were prompt, polite, and worked consistently the entire time. We had extra time available when unloading the POD, and the two workers helped set up the dining room table, and rearrange furniture, etc. until the two hour minimum time was up. They were careful in unloading and placing furniture and other items in the house -- no banged up walls or damaged furniture, etc. Good experience. Would definitely recommend this company. read more

Quick to get booked and guys were nice, That's the positive. They were not professional. Professional guys wouldn't blast expletive music when working with your neighbors young kids in the front yard. Professional guys probably wouldn't laugh when you consider signing up for the full insurance nor would they make sure a half day job takes all day specifically because it was a Saturday and they didn't want to cover any additional moves, their quote, not mine. We weren't a huge job so there was a lot of time to discuss things between them and check phones they also one incident they had to clean up. Of course all of that was included in the charge. So, If you go in with the expectation that your stuff will be banged up, chipped, and scratched as a natural progression of moving furniture then this is the moving company for you. Also if you like being charged for 7 hours of labor when you get around 5 this is the moving company you want. I would not recommend them based on my personal experiences but, I do have the expectation of getting honest days work for the pay. But if you are the kind of person who likes to pay more and get less for it, and a little collateral damage to your stuff, this is the place! read more
