Wildcraft Cider Works was a cidery that Steve and I tried recently. The particular cider that we had was the Mirabelle Plum cider. As the name indicates it had plenty of plum in the beverage but also apple was blended into it as well but the plum won out as far as dominant flavor goes. This cider is sweet, fruity, tart and dry all rolled into one. It is fairly complex and some may not quite find it to be their thing due to the plum aspect and those range of flavors associated with it but I liked it fairly well as the cider was unique and although increasing in frequency with other fruited ciders beside apple the Mirabelle puts an interesting spin on things and gives you and your palette something to think about. read more

We had a nice Sunday evening there last week. I stopped by for the free Sunday night jazz featuring Idit Shner. I got the Autumn Run cider after trying a few. The quince one tasted like champagne! I can't just drink without food so I got the hummus plate to share with my daughter. The beet hummus was delicious and it wasn't your average hummus plate. It came with warm, grilled flat bread. Picked this spot because they had the #FishermansMarket truck outside and a grip of cider options. The service was quick and the bartender was patient with first timers. Tried 5 good ciders and would have had more if we didn't have to be somewhere. The interior is cool and rustic. Was cold, but that's because it had just opened for the day and it has some big windows. Will come back again!!! read more

This place is so cool -- a big open space with delicious cider, food and killer live music. There are so many ciders to choose from, in all sorts of interesting flavors and brewing methods. I had one that was aged in pinot barrels that was memorable. Many are pretty high ABV (7%+). There's also a few beer & wine options. Recently Wildcraft has been upping it's game as a music venue, hosting more and more shows from some pretty big artists. There's 2 stages, a larger one with a warehouse-feel, and a smaller one located in an upstairs loft. I've seen shows at both and had a blast. The crowds have always been fun and energetic. Wildcraft is also kid-friendly during the day, and there have been free concerts on weekend afternoons. I really don't like giving less than three stars for a place but I wanted to warn others if they come here of some quirks I think are important to know about. 1.) I think their hours on yelp/Google might be incorrect. It stated they closed at 8:30pm on fridays. The bar tender said they closed at 8pm, but if you had a drink she wouldn't start telling you to go home until 8:15pm. That's fine. It's not their fault its posted here incorrectly (I think this yelp page is unclaimed by them) 2.) Do not try to get a drink less than 20-25 min before they close? My friend was in line at the same time as me but a couple people ahead. She got a flight of 6 ciders and the bar tender told her that she should get everything she wanted because it was last call. Me and 3 others were in line still. My friend assumed that meant that everyone else in line at that moment would be able to get drinks. The person two people in front of me then chatted with the bar tender and a person next to the cash register for maybe 5-6 min (he was definitely holding up the line but oh well. I waited paitently). I believe he got a few cans to go and maybe even a glass of cider. Then the people right in front of me went to order and got a glass of cider to drink there. I went up to order after and I asked if I could get a flight. She said no, actually she wouldn't serve anything "for here" 15 min or less before closing. I said, oh actually my friend just sat down with a flight 7-8 min ago and the person in front of me got a glass just now. She stood firm that she could not serve me something for here 15 min before closing since they were closing at 8pm. It was maybe 7:42-7:43 when I walked up. I ended up walking away and ordering nothing since I could only get an entire bottle to go. I think maybe they need a sign or something and be a bit more consistent with regards to when their last call is. I ended up sitting down with my friend and helping her drink her flight of cider. I am not unhappy that I did not get a glass/flight because I ended up not really liking any of the ciders except the strawberry. Just wanted to post this as info so people are aware! Triple check the time they close and definitely order well before closing. read more

I was gonna say that they only reason they don't get 5 stars is bc I need food- But they have Thai food sometimes!!!! Generally a pop up- permanent restaurant is coming. I didn't love all they offerings, but there were plenty I looked and many I need to return to try. Big patio, upstairs over flow with view of the barrels fermenting your beverage, great lighting- this place is great for groups or cozy tete a tetes. We'll be back! read more

He seemed shaken by every request; overwhelmed by the act of pouring another cider and close to meltdown at the request to close out our tab. Not gonna stop me from coming back, though. My first experience here wasn't as stellar as I was expecting it to be...mainly because most of the ciders I tried in the flight were just too weird tasting compared to many other great ciders out there. This is my first time having Wildcraft Cider and to be honest, I am not a fan. I am a big cider drinker since I stay gluten free, and have had great ones (dry ones too) from Angry Orchard, Crispin, Atlas, 2 Towns, Apple Outlaw. Woodchuck, and Avid, and plenty more...but some of the varieties here were just too quirky with the fruit flavors not developed as well and clashing with the herbed or barreled flavors. They tasted like fizzy kombucha mixed with unsweetened cough syrup and vinegar. I tried the Wild Rose (very mild and tart, almost like champagne but not as strong), People's Plum (awful sour cough syrup taste) Krampus Cranberry (probably the better of the 5 I tried but nothing I would ever drink again, tasted like cranberry juice mixed with distilled vinegar and bad whiskey), Sage (I didn't anticipate the sage in this to be as off putting as I expected, I've had other herbed drinks that were better balanced with the right sweetness), and the Bourbon Peach (the fruit and bourbon flavors fought with each other, did not blend well). The taste was so off putting (very medicinal) that I literally couldn't stomach more than a sip and left most glasses over half full. My husband also tried them and felt the same (it wasn't just me!) Perhaps I should have just tried a regular ol Apple cider here but I don't think I'll be heading back to try any of these unique flavors anytime soon. They just left a bad taste in my mouth that wasn't remarkable. Secondly, we went there for a concert that on the website said would start at 7, and we got there plenty early by 6:30 but found out that the actual opener wouldn't start until 8 and the main band Cascade Crescendo wouldn't start until at least 9:30 - we had to be up at 6am the next day and were upset that the music was starting over 2 hours later than anticipated, especially since we had paid for tickets online which stated that the event was from 7-10. Sorry Wildcraft, the unique cider combos sounded great on paper but honestly this is not the place to go for a well developed juicy cider worth coming back for. read more

omg omg omg Where do I begin? The cider is amazing! If you like a cider that is dry-er, this is the place for you! The vibe is amazing! But let's talk about the real star of the show, shall we? Our bartender Baylee was amazing! She's so informative, and patient with my questions! She's so soft spoken it made me feel so comfortable. (She also had the BEST hair in town.) I bought ciders, and a shirt and even some devilish (Krampus) candles! As well as CBD and CBG! 10/10 if you're looking for a treat without a crowd! Love this place, love the service, love the ciders! Not sure if they read my previous review or it's just a coincidence but they fixed the sound issue with some nice elevated speakers, and the air condition issue with a powerful a/c unit. The upstairs stage is still an intimate venue but I would now recommend it. Their downstairs/harvest party stage is really nice now too. Wow Wildcraft! You sure do know how to impress us with a grand opening. Their new cider tasting room is way bigger than I had expected. When you walk up the deck you see beautiful wooden benches to hang out and enjoy a cider on a nice day. On the inside there is an upstairs area with tables and chairs which looks down on the tasting room below. There is actually a bar up there but it wasn't open for the grand opening. I love how you don't feel crowded here and I don't know if this will be a common thing but they had two pop up food vendors here selling delicious meals. It's awesome to see the community come together and support other small businesses. The music event was in the back (in what I think is their barrel room). It's a good size for a concert and even though I didn't pay to see the show it sounded great and looked really fun when I peeked in. Now, let's get to the cider. Delicious! They have so many different kinds ranging from sweet to sour and they even have house made sodas. For the grand opening it was all ages until 7pm but I'm not sure what that will look like during normal business hours. I'm so happy to have these guys back in action and can't wait to spend my summer hanging out on their deck. The parking lot is large but can fill up fast if there is an event across the street at Venue 252. You can find street parking if all else fails. read more

Eugene is lucky to have this wonderful cider house. The atmosphere is fantastic. The upstairs has a nice, but little, music venue. Staff is attentive and knowledgable. I love the varieties of ciders, they also have local beers on tap and some local wine available. Great cidery in Eugene, with plenty of ciders on tap. Nice outdoor space when the weather is warm. There's one food cart located inside the building if you get hungry, and the venue has live music fairly frequently, though often with a cover (though you can hear the music from downstairs too, without paying, when bands are upstairs). The cider overall has a farmhouse feel and taste, and isn't generally as sweet as most commercial ciders. As is the current trend with ciders, ABV has been creeping upward, and it'd be nice to see more low-ABV variations in the future. For the beer drinkers in your party, there are always a couple guest taps on site also. read more

I like the place, has good atmosphere and drinks....until they do sound check so loud you can't hear yourself think! Literally everyone immediately left to go outside and left the inside like a ghost house. Told the bar tender that the music was too loud and they said they couldn't do anything because it was sound check. Not even joking, sound check at max volume and went on for over half an hour almost two hours before they started their set. I will never go here again because of this experience. My wife and I stopped by tonight. My first time there. The ladies working there were incredibly nice. But then the"sound check" started. This is the LOUDEST place I have ever been in. It's supposed to be an hour and a half before the live music started. We decided to sit outside, and we still barely could hear each other. I really liked the cider, and the employees were great, but I cannot go back. There was a family there that had to take their little boy out because he was crying. Really? This is the kind of place that people recommend? Usually when I visit a brewpub I will stay a few hours, I lasted 20 minutes tonight. Ridiculously loud. I do not recommend this place. read more

The wood setting creates a good atmosphere and the food is great and what can I say this is a great establishment. I can appreciate a well put together place like wild craft. So many amazing ciders, with NW friendly staff who know what they are selling and are invested in the business, and amazing decor. Love this place. The decor is notable b/c amazing rustic meets modern; very trending right now with the Pinterest and Instagram perusing millenials (ahem, not that I would know anything about that lol). Seriously beautiful and thoughtful, worth stepping in just to inhale the oak and take a look around. Even my male friends have commented on the cool interior. The ciders themselves are fantastic and the array of options makes this place truly unique. The one downside is that I find they lack snacks. There is a Thai place attached, and it was ok, however, too salty for me to ever order again. Given the alcohol being served, I would like to see this venue welcome additional vendors in order to provide customers a choice of snacks while they imbibe. I would not suggest expanding to a full kitchen, as the appeal of this venue truly is their offering in ciders, and the exclusivity of making this their primary product is a good business strategy. Best cider ever. Wildcraft makes quality ciders from just about any edible thing you can imagine, including some rare fruits and flowers, as well as your standard apple and pear ciders. Their cider tends to be on the dry side, which I prefer over heavily fruity or sweet ones, and they are always quite sparkly. Most are like drinking champagne. Now that Krob Krua Thai Food inside their building, it's a great place to stop for lunch, as well as fill your growler. I do wish they'd get some cushions for their metal chairs, but maybe they just don't want people to hang out too long. : ) read more
