Ya'll thought of everything anyone could possibly want and gave attention to every detail. The pier is beautiful and just draws your eye out to the bay and the gorgeous sunsets. It was the perfect place to sit and watch the fish jump, a few dolphins swim by, and the sun sink below the horizon. Wherever you choose to sit on the site, you can't miss the amazing and beautiful sunsets-easily the highlight of each day! The lush landscaping and beautiful palms make it a true tropical oasis. The site feels so private and is so quite, peaceful and restful. We also enjoyed walking the Rockport Beach and the Tule hike and bike trail, and were amazed at the herons and egrets roosting in the trees off Fulton Road! Thank you for all the info about those areas! How lucky we were to get to meet you and share this amazing place with you for a few days! Thank you for being so warm and welcoming and kind! The wonderful boat trip through the Rockport canals was an unexpected bonus and highlight to our stay. There are some beautiful areas in Rockport, but I think the canals are a hidden gem! We loved and enjoyed our little vacation and definitely plan to book some future stays. You guys probably won't be our neighbors the next time we visit, but we count it a blessing that we got to meet ya'll this visit and can now call you friends! We wish you continued success in your Copa Copa venture and thank you for creating such a great place to make wonderful memories!

Sunset Ridge has some really nice and large concrete sites to park your rig, vehicles, boats, and…read moreeverything else you might bring along. The concrete streets are wider than average and make backing into your site a breeze. The grass around the sites is unbelievably lush and apparently watered by an underground seepage system that keeps the grass in good health. The grounds are maintained on a daily basis to keep everything trimmed to perfection. These are the highlights of our findings during our 9 week stay: - The pool is heated and hot tub worked most of our stay. It was still broken when we left. - The office/clubhouse is perpetually "coming soon", although they have no construction plans currently to build one. The office is located inside of a shipping container. - They sometimes erect a tent for gatherings, but stated they get destroyed by high winds on a regular basis. - They held potluck dinners in the fitness room during our stay, due to lack of any other facilities. - We were warned of past thefts when we arrived. Two thefts occurred on separate occasions during our stay and the "resort" sent out text messages to residents with tips from the local police department. - Stray dogs regularly roam the grounds. - There is no street lighting and building exterior lighting is off during most of the dark hours. Flashlights or headlamps are advised after dark. - Lawn maintenance is a constant irritant at the sites. It happens 6 days of the week, with 3-5 days that they would come through our site EACH WEEK. - The building is surrounded by SANDBURS. We picked them out of our shoes on a daily basis. - The air often smelled like sewer gas, most likely due to the nearby tidal basin. - Showers/restrooms are cleaned once a week, according to the manager. Daily would be more appropriate. - The high-speed internet located at each site was good. However, they don't provide a Wi-Fi Hotspot for use when away from your site (e.g. in fitness room). - They say Corpus Christi is the windiest city in the United States. We no longer doubt that statement. - While it is promoted as a "resort", it felt more like an RV park by the end of our stay there. Many "resort" amenities are perpetually "coming soon".

We love the place, it is by far the cleanest and quietest park in the Corpus Christi area and much more secure than for example, the county RV parks. (We've had our car broken into twice). We had no problems with the facilities, WiFi or hookups. The pool was excellent and the laundry/bathroom area spotless with modern machines. There is no traffic driving thru the park or non-visitors using the pool or pier. The staff was friendly and helpful and really kept a close eye on the park. I do have one quibble that is my own fault, I did not pay attention to the pad sizes when registering. A couple of them are really small and our camper was a pretty tight fit. I took note of which sites would be better for next time. (Yes, there will be a next time, Firefly is heads above every other nearby park) Just a note, a lot of the other reviews mention smell. It's on a saltwater lagoon, folks. A miles wide tidal flat. It's going to have an odor. Myself, I grew up locally and it's a non-issue. I think the reviews incredibly overstate the problem and honestly, sound overly whiny and suspiciously coached.

When we checked in we found out that our cabin did not have a parking space near our unit. It was located 75 yards away. Then we did not have a thrash can in the bathroom. No Kleenex and only 2 wash cloths. The lady in the office said to walk up two flights of stairs to the office and exchange for clean ones. I made a trip to Walmart and bought a small trash can and Kleenex and some cheap wash cloths. You get texts reminding you if you have guests they must register and pay as well as other rules. As I write this we are one of 4 spots occupied out of 26. But I got a call from the office to move my car. DON'T STAY HERE!
