It's a long read I know…read more The good - location, pool, on site golf cart rental The bad- too pricey for the lack of parking, cramped RV spaces, questionable power pedestals (our breakers kept tripping) At approximately 10:30 p.m., I was abruptly awakened by an older gentleman repeatedly banging on the door of our camper. When I answered, he immediately began yelling that my truck was parked too far over the parking line and needed to be moved. At no point did he introduce himself or identify himself as an employee or representative of Tropical RV Resort, so I initially believed he was super hostile guest. I tried to explain to him that the designated overflow parking area was completely full and asked where I was expected to park. His response was that I should park off the property on the grass behind the park. I informed him that those areas were also completely full. When I again asked where he expected me to park, he stated that he didn't care, that he would begin fining me $100, and then call the fire marshal so I could be fined an additional $500. I do not tolerate being treated with threats and intimidation. He continued yelling throughout the conversation and would not allow for a productive discussion. To end the confrontation, I simply responded, "Okay," several times and closed the camper door. My husband then stepped outside to understand what was happening after hearing someone yelling at me. Rather than attempting to de-escalate the situation, the gentleman immediately began yelling at him as well. A brief verbal exchange followed, as my husband was understandably unwilling to be spoken to in such a disrespectful manner by someone who had never identified himself or attempted to communicate professionally. At this point, I felt extremely uncomfortable around this person. His behavior was unacceptable for someone who works with the Public and no guest should ever be treated that way for such a minor parking in fraction. There were cars on your property marked with tow warnings because they have been parked there without parking permits. At least one car was there for 48 hours perhaps had those cars been cleared there would've been ample parking. Additionally, there were open spaces in the trailer storage area, but I was informed I could not park there either. I also want to express a genuine concern regarding the older gentleman who confronted us. I cannot speak to his personal circumstances, but based on his behavior that evening, he appeared to be extremely agitated and confrontational. His level of anger, the way he pounded on our camper door late at night, and the manner in which he repeatedly yelled and threatened us made me feel genuinely unsafe. Whether this was an isolated incident or a pattern of behavior, I believe it warrants attention. No guest should feel intimidated or fear for their safety while staying at an RV resort. I sincerely hope management addresses this situation, both for the well-being of the individual involved and for the safety and comfort of future guests. In the end, all this started around 10:30 PM and by 11:15pm we were packed up and ready to go. I would rather forfeit a night or two, than stay in the environment that I was in. I should also note that the angry gentleman sat in the dark on his golf cart, hiding behind a fence, watching us pack up the entire time... it was awkward. This whole mess could've been avoided. Had this gentleman knocked on our door, introduced himself and explained the situation (without yelling and threatening us with fines and the Fire Marshal). This could've been such an easy problem to solve. I feel that in this circumstance, an exception could've been made to allow me to park in the trailer storage area or over by the hotel rooms where there was additional space. I would've been happy to pay the $10 storage fee just to have a place to park on property and not risk being towed by parking somewhere I didn't belong.

We now refuse to stay anywhere else in Port A! Casa Bendita is incredibly clean (&I have high standards with cleanliness!), beautiful big kitchen with every utensil/dish/cup you'll ever need, comfortable beds and cozy bedrooms (all have TVs!), washer & dryer (with detergent, etc. provided!), plenty of parking, beautiful pool with lovely outdoor area and a FULL bathroom off of the pool (genius!), gated porch to keep the kiddos safe from the stairs (in addition to plenty of kid friendly items, games, etc.), quick walk or drive to the beach & into town, and the owners and host are the best -- always been so responsive and accommodating... the list of reasons why we love Casa Bendita is endless! Highly recommend staying at Casa Bendita for your next trip to Port Aransas! Promise you won't want to stay anywhere else either after your stay :-)

There are potholes that fill up with water that should be fixed immediately. The first speed bump if you go over slightly more than 5 mph. Your car will bottom out. They do have new ownership, so perhaps given time they will fix that situation. You will notice immediately how small the spaces are and how close together they are. I could constantly hear my neighbors particularly when they were drinking. The dog park needs to be sodded. They do have a lot to do. They have a nice pool overlooking the bay. The location is incredible as are the sunsets. Apparently, a lot of of people like this RV park so I am quite confident that I am in the minority. I do like the manager and she will do the best that she can for you and will give you 100%

If you come here, you must bring binoculars to watch all the birds that call the wetlands home. We were pleasantly surprised that the house is stocked with supplies that including plastic dishes for the kiddos, board and card games and so much more. Ya'll thought of everything anyone could possibly want and gave attention to every detail. The pier is beautiful and just draws your eye out to the bay and the gorgeous sunsets. It was the perfect place to sit and watch the fish jump, a few dolphins swim by, and the sun sink below the horizon. Wherever you choose to sit on the site, you can't miss the amazing and beautiful sunsets-easily the highlight of each day! The lush landscaping and beautiful palms make it a true tropical oasis. The site feels so private and is so quite, peaceful and restful. We also enjoyed walking the Rockport Beach and the Tule hike and bike trail, and were amazed at the herons and egrets roosting in the trees off Fulton Road! Thank you for all the info about those areas! How lucky we were to get to meet you and share this amazing place with you for a few days! Thank you for being so warm and welcoming and kind! The wonderful boat trip through the Rockport canals was an unexpected bonus and highlight to our stay. There are some beautiful areas in Rockport, but I think the canals are a hidden gem! Great rental on the South side of downtown Rockport near Rositas, Rock Bottom and Whiskey Palm…read more Recent, new construction with contemporary beach vibes. It's a duplex with identical, mirror floor plans that have a pass through door. So you can rent half or all of the property. Each side has a primary bedroom and second bedroom with bunk beds or two twins. There are also two full bathrooms. Neither attached to a bedroom. Each has a fully equipped kitchen and stackable washer and dryer. A pool is under construction (June 2025) that looks like it will be really nice when finished. There are great upstairs balcony patios along with ample downstairs, covered common areas with picnic tables, bbq grills and parking. This place is well-located and well-kept. If visiting Rockport, don't hesitate to consider this rental.
