We recently visited Wildflour for our first time. Our group of six was there for an informal rehearsal dinner and had a very special evening. Alana, our smiling and very pleasant server, was both knowledgeable and helpful, skillfully steering us through the evening. Our initial craft cocktails were exquisite with a special shout out to the bartender for his Old Fashioneds and Cosmos. We really appreciated that our request to pair wine with our individual dinners was met with strong suggestions rather than $$$ labels. As far as dinner, "hats off" to the chef! Let me just say that our meals were not only fantastic, but the portions were "Lumber Jack" HUGE! This resulted in take-home boxes for all and excellent lunches the next day. Our memorable entrees were the swordfish and the brisket mac n cheese. In summary, Wildflour is not only stamped on our "must return to" list but should be on a bucket list for anyone visiting the hills area above Leavenworth. read more

Very frustrating to not be able to get brunch on Saturday, obviously many people travel Sunday so Saturday is the most ideal day to go out to breakfast for weekenders... why not serve it both days? The halibut and chips were great, I settled for the salad which had nice berries and good dressing. Our Bloody Mary came out with no salt on the rim, and no bacon, or anything too special, there was no salt and pepper on the table. The coffee was also super weak. Loved this place! Couldn't get an igloo despite my best efforts but the food was so good, it made up for it. Highlights were dipping the focaccia in the sauce of the wild mushrooms and the Caesar salad (some of the best I have ever had). Also enjoyed the short ribs and the clams pasta. They also have a kids menu and crayons for the kids (mostly pastas, like fettuccine Alfredo and a butter pasta). Also enjoyed my glass of Pinot noir. Service was fantastic. The waiter was friendly and attentive and gave good recommendations. The host was super nice and thoughtful to the two little kids we brought. And the chef himself even came out multiple times to check up on us. Interior is clean and spacious. More like ~3.5 stars! Came in around 8:30pm on a Saturday with a reservation. Parking out front. Super nice staff. The restaurant is dimly lit. Ordered the bolognese. The first time it came out the cavatelli was very undercooked. Super hard to chew and dry in the inside. We had them remake it (as 3 people had ordered this dish) and they switched out the noodles so that we would enjoy it better. The remade dish was decent. The flavors were good and had big beef chunks in the sauce. It was filling and hearty meal. The serving is on the smaller side. Others in the party ordered the lasagna and clams, which they enjoyed. What really made this meal better was the dessert. We ordered the cheesecake, tiramisu and the creme brulee. The cheesecake was creamy and tart from the blueberry. The tiramisu was the perfect consistency. The creme brûlée was amazing. They were all so good. I would definitely recommend getting dessert if you choose to dine here! read more

My group of 5 had a reservation for 8:30 on a Saturday. The restaurant wasn't too busy when we arrived so we could have gone without it. Our group ordered 3 bolognese, 1 clam pasta, and 1 lasagne. All 3 of the bolognese had to be remade since they were undercooked and inedible. My clams pasta was good. The clams were plentiful and presentation was great. My partner enjoyed his lasagne too. We ordered a blueberry cheesecake, tiramisu, creme brulee, and affogato for dessert. Dessert was honestly better than our entrees. The tiramisu was definitely one of the better ones I've had and the creme brulee was standard. I'm not a cheesecake fan but the others liked it. I'd dine here again if I'm in the area. read more

So, so disappointed. My wife and I have been coming here for years and had grown to love it. The staff were always friendly and inviting while the food was spectacular. Now...meh. The woman who greeted us was overtly rude. The food really lacked the spark and exceptional flavor and pairing that made it a true favorite. Our favorite 3 things from what we ordered: The mushrooms were savory with the sweetness of honey. I found this place incidentally while looking at a story from one of the bloggers that had just been to the Wildflour the day before. My husband and I were in Leavenworth for a day and I was still looking for a place to have dinner at. I came across this place and decided to give it a try. One thing that was very frustrating is the fact that you cant get ahold of them. I probably had called them 10 times before I could have someone answer my call. We went the day after it had snowed in Leavenworth, so they were closed for lunch and that was not updated anywhere so while on the way there, I had made a reservation on roundtable for 2 people but I wanted to have the Igloo experience which is why I wanted to mainly come here in the first place. They would not answer until we were about 15 mins from them, it was going to add sometime to go here and then to the hotel , so I did not want to go if they were not open and having to drive in the snow and at night. Anyways, when I got there, I asked to have the Igloo experience, but I was told that it gets sold out in advance so they did not have one available. but due to snow, one has canceled and so there was one available. According to our server, it leaks from top since there is so much moisture and there is a heater inside, we decided to just eat inside. I gave them four stars because of the phone situation and how they never answer but also the food was just okay.. My husband loved the Mushroom appetizer, and we asked our server about it, so he gave us the recipe. I had salad that was so small! it was $9, initially I was told its sharable, but then I was told that its not. I mean it was so small that I ate it in less than a minute! My husband liked his steak, but my fish was okay. It came with risotto. Inside the restaurant is very cozy, homey feeling. they are only open for a limited hours.. This place is a hidden gem in Leavenworth! Wildflour isn't right downtown- it is located in a country club north of town. Do not let this location deter you- this restaurant is so worth the drive! We booked our reservation ahead of time and called to request an igloo- it's a $20 charge for the igloo. It was a pretty cool experience eating in the igloo - they are decorated so nicely and you can see the night sky. The cocktails I ordered were fantastic. We ordered the mushrooms and focaccia bread for appetizers- the mushrooms were to die for- all locally harvested. The bread was delicious. My partner and I ordered the lasagna- some of the best I've had. My son had the pork shank- my daughter the halibut- all was so delicious. Flavors were on point. A really good Italian place near Leavenworth. We stopped by for an early dinner as this place was closest to our airbnb as compared to downtown Leavenworth and boy we loved it. We ordered the focaccia (delicious bread with tomato dip), bruschetta (no words to describe how amazing this tasted), roasted mushrooms (a MUST have appetizer) and smoked cod cakes (super fresh cod fish cames with an amazing red pepper sauce). I could eat all the appetizers all day long they were absolutely delicious. For the entrees we ordered the papardelle and the butternut squash ravioli. The butternut squash ravioli was amazing in that creamy sauce which just had so many delicate flavors packed in. The papardelle with lamb kebabs was great too. The lamb kebabs were marinated in mild spices and the kebabs were cooked to perfection. For desserts we ordered the tiramisu, orange cheesecake and the flan. All the desserts tasted great and the tiramisu was hands down the crowd favorite. We also ordered the elderflower martini which was a fresh and light cocktail. Service was great and even though the prices are on the higher side you pay for quality and deliciousness. The drinks were fine, the food was hot and I can tell they were trying to serve "upscale" food. That said, the flavors were mixed and not worth the price. When you position your restaurant as fancy, the rating because more difficult and Wildflour did not pass. They also specialize in pasta but I didn't find it memorable or worth finishing. The restaurant itself is dated and the layout is a bit odd. Our table was on the window and directly over an air vent. The vent was blowing really cold air and they eventually brought us a blanket to cover the vent which did help a bit. The staff was friendly and I think they did well. WildFlour Restaurant is a 30 minute drive from Leavenworth proper & it's a lovely drive along hwy.2. It's also located a few miles from Wenatchee State Park. The staff is friendly & attentive. The place was bustling with several large groups & several 2 & 4 tops, so busy night. We ordered crab cakes for starter, the Lasagne & Halibut with pappadelle in a piquant tomato cream base. We had a side of baguette. The presentation was appetizing! The shrimp/ crab cakes had a wonderful exterior panko crunch but unfortunately the inside wasn't sufficiently cooked & was quite gooey inside but it tasted so good with the saffron aioli type reduction sauce that we scarfed it up! My partner really enjoyed his halibut dish. I tried a bite of the noodles & it tasted rich & creamy good, not spicy at all if people are wondering because in Italy that type of sauce can be spicy, ( Scarparielli sauce). I so wanted to love my lasagna but it fell short. The tomato sauce was flavorful. However, there was little meat with only 2 bites of meat that was part of the sauce & that's it. The type of mozzarella used was stringy & extra chewy.There was a hard shell baked in covering on the top which I didn't eat. I also found the béchamel pasty & not delicate in taste..... no notes of nutmeg? I love lasagne & have been lucky to have tasted some wonderful renditions including my own home version. Unfortunately, this was not one. But the baguette sopped up the delightful tomato sauce. It's served cut on the bias as garlic toasts of 5 pieces & it was delicious. I know it's tough to run a top restaurant these days & being on point when crowded can be challenging. We enjoyed the overall experience & would definitely come back. We went in a group of 9 for my best friend's bachelor party and so we got 3 warm baguettes, 2 orders of the Boudin Bites, an order of Clams and an order of the Roasted Mushrooms! It came with seasons vegetables which included a fried asparagus, bell peppers and amongst other things. The gnocchis were cooked to perfectly! For starters, this restaurant really is located very close to the Wenatchee State Park, for a quick second I didn't think we would actually arrive at a restaurant. The restaurant is smaller and has a different vibe to it. We wanted to eat in a igloo but you have to book those in advanced and I think those can only be booked on certain days of the week. They also had live music playing the night we ate. Our waitress was kind and gave me the gluten free recommendations, they are very accommodating. The swordfish and crab cakes were a hit! This is more of a date night/ intimate group setting, it doesn't look like it would be a great place to take kids. read more

I found this restaurant on a whim and made an appointment for my family to come here and experience the "igloo" dining. It was literally the BEST experience ever. Unfortunately on the way to the restaurant, our car was struck by a falling rock and really shook us up. We expressed how rattled we were and the manager made sure to come over and check on us. Along with the great hospitality, the food was BEYOND. Their homemade pasta is perfection. We had the shrimp and crab cakes, the lasagna, the cajun crab conchiglie and the bucatini marsala. They were all divine. Even my super picky 4 year old ate ALL of his pasta, we were so excited. The experience of the igloo was so fun and magical. Wow. Every once in a while, you have such a great meal, you consider it one of your life's great meals. Last night's was one of them! We started with the spicy shrimp appetizer. It was amusingly spicy (good amount, not too much, but I do like a little spice). It was also really good! It came with a tasty dipping sauce that I guarded when they cleared the appetizer plates so I could use it with my entrée. I ordered the Filet. It came with Purple Potato Gnocchi and grilled vegetables. The steak was very good, perfectly cooked, tender and tasty. The Gnocchi was divine! I dipped it in the sauce that came with the shrimp and it made it even better. My wife had the Beef Short Rib. It came with large pasta noodles, truffle butter and grilled veggies. It was seriously amazing too. The short rib meat was tender and flavorful. She got quite a large portion. Enough for both of us to enjoy the next day for lunch. The atmosphere at Wildflour is always nice. Not too loud. One tip: Sometimes you can be seated at a table with an air vent in the floor below it. You can ask them to close the vent or cover it with a blanket to reduce the airflow. I seriously wanted to start over to have this whole dinner over again. Bravo Wildflour! read more
