It's rare to find such a well maintained wide open field. Through the year there are multiple big events that take advantage of this field. One of the longstanding traditions in Thousand Oaks is the Conejo Valley Days Annual Festival (which is on their 61st). This festival features a carnival as well as a Country Western Night, Classic Rock an Roll Night, and a Chili Cook Off! Another event that is held here is the Oakheart Country Music Festival, which has been gaining momentum in recent years! There is a model airplane group that uses the field to fly their aircrafts which is cool to watch. The camp was not well structured and several of the coaches left well before the camp ended. The last hour of each day was dedicated to activities in the workout/physical fitness/weight room. A separate fitness trainer managed this effort. On the first day he showed up for 30 mins of the hour. The 2nd day was less than 15 mins of the hour and was a no show on the 3rd and 4th day. The basketball coaches sat in the room with the kids and told them to do what they wanted. Horrible. IMO, certainly not worth the $$.

The facilities are in desperate need of refreshing(you can barely see through the plexiglass) There's no shade for spectators... They no longer allow spectators to bring dogs... (Even though it's outside) They allow too much rough & reckless play (much of which is committed by their 'employees') Many of the referees are rude and unwilling to give any explanation of their rulings (so you can avoid a penalty next time) Overall this place is TERRIBLE. I have 25+ years of soccer experience and I'd rather not play than play here. The ONLY reason this place is still around is the lack of any other local indoor facility.

It's so beautiful and clean and very well thought out. - shaded parking structure - very clean restrooms - lots of grassy space - picnic tables that are fully covered (able to reserve) - baseball field - basketball courts - tennis/pickleball courts - bigger and smaller playground - ant hill to climb and slide - butterfly climbing structure - (pro/con) - wood chips What more could you ask for? There's a lot of space for them to ride their scooters; the playground itself is big and beautiful with multiple slides and great flower theming. The best part, though, is the ant hill that they build into the park. My kids love it because it is a literal hill that you use cardboard boxes to slide down. This was the highlight for them, and they spent most of their time just sliding down and having a blast with cardboard boxes. I live in North Hollywood, so this was a drive, but it was worth it so that my kids could have a blast, which they did. This park is at the top of our list!
