Everything is structured and range rules are very strictly enforced (which makes sense for a public range) and is a great place to take those whom are new to firearms. All of their rules are posted on their website for each respective range, it's a good idea to check them out beforehand. I often come here when I need to confirm or reconfirm a zero on a rifle optic, and it's very nice that their rifle range has spotting scopes and brass deflectors at no extra cost. For those that like to either run training drills or mag-dump into trash, this isn't the place for it. They unfortunately have Fudd rules here for a reason, don't take it personally. My advice? Just bring a single 10 round mag because that's all they'll let you load into a rifle anyways. read more

This range has the most awful range masters. I've only been on the shotgun range but most there are rude and impatient except two people. There's a big tall guy who now supervises the range masters, he's awesome and used to be a range master. There's also a younger woman named Briley who's fantastic. She's super patient and helpful. The staff are as you would expect in what is basically Seattle. They have dumbed everything down to a point that scares even me, and I was Marine infantry. Their attitudes don't help either and their prices are about what it costs to shoot legally on public land (gas money). I used to be a member years ago, and they were bad then. They are worse now. The range masters are crap! I took my glasses off to look through the spotting scope and was yelled at! I literally had pushed them up on my forehead for ten seconds before being admonished, there was nobody around me for 150 ft! I will never go to the pistol or rifle range again! The other reviews do a good job of giving you the low down on Kenmore Shooting Range. It's run professionally and you feel a sense of safety using the public range as the range master reviews the lanes every 30 minutes when you have a chance to change out the targets. The range fee is reasonable along with other accessories such as ear plugs or ammo you may need to purchase. I will definitely be coming back as this is a wonderful place for outside range shooting even when it was snowing. read more

Good range to 300 yards. The staff is very helpful and they accommodate handicapped shooters.

First time coming here to zero a few rifles. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience. From checking in to the on duty RSO's, the members here were pretty friendly as well. There was a mix of guys and rifles the morning I went. Folks shooting milsurplus, modern semi-autos, precision bolt guns, to deer rifles. I did not have any issues here. Some things to keep in mind while at the rifle range: -Cold range called every 30 mins. -No human silhouette targets. -Box magazines loaded to a max of 10 rounds. -Rounds fired every 2 seconds, no rapid fire. -NFA friendly, I shot my rifle with a suppressor without issue. -Rifle range only has 50y and 100y targets. -You must purchase at least one of their paper targets. -Chamber flags required for all rifles not cased. read more

A good range when open to the public and one of the few that allows you to sight in large caliber rifles. It is clean, professionally run, and very safe at all times. I would suggest you bring some water as the vending machine there only had sodas when I was there. I strongly suggest this location. read more

I dreaded the thought of shooting here due to my previous experience at this range over 20 years ago. That, and all of the "rules." Most of my friends called the place "The non-fun range." After this past weekend's shooting I'm happy to say that designation as "The non-fun range," couldn't be further from the truth. As for my previous bad experience, let's just say they get a "mulligan" on that one. I'm actually a little mad at myself for not giving them another chance sooner. "The non-fun rules," are there to keep everyone safe, and they do a great job at it. Not only are they very professional, they're extremely personable and helpful. Doug and Carsten (I might have spelled Carsten's name wrong. He's the young guy that carries the XD.) helped my friend diagnose his shooting issue as his scope's internals were broken. That didn't fix my friends bad day of shooting, it did keep us from going nuts, while reassuring my buddy that he's not the worst shot in the world. :-) This place is great, I'll be back, and I'll bring more friends along. I head up here for outdoor archery. It is cheap at $10 entry for a non-member (for the day!) and not too far out of Seattle (less than 30 min drive). Come out here and get your hick on - fresh air, shoot em up ranges for gunslingers, stuffed bag targets with cute furry future dead things for shooting your bow and arrows at, and a nice mellow hike around the trails for a change. Get here early, cuz they close at dusk or earlier. Have a blast and bring ear plugs if you don't like constant gunshot noise! read more

Had a great time today shooting at this range. As usual with an inner-city range, they have a lot of inconvenient rules to idiot-proof the place. This cuts down on the enjoyability for the mature and responsible patrons, but what can you do? Besides that the staff was great. My friend brought in his new AR with after-market iron sites and they helped him sight it in. The were super friendly and patient with explaining the rules. 4 stars based on a fun, but short, first time experience. DISCLAIMER: My visit was short only because I decided to meet up with my husband one evening BUT I was wearing flip flops and it was about 30 degrees out. You will feel like you're in the middle of woods because it is located down a dirt road just off of 228th (across from the rock quarry) and sounded by trees. Now I'm not a hunter, but if I'm going to practice shooting, being in a wooded area feels pretty authentic. The parking lot is just a large open gravel area so be nice to those around you and try to park straight and with plenty of room for others to open their car doors. Before you sign in (with ID of course) you must take a TEST. Basically fill in the blank but it makes you review the posted rules which are very specific and very important. You have to do this every time which is very comforting. The range masters are amazing and will answer your questions thoughtfully and thoroughly. I felt safe the whole time I was there and cannot wait to return and update my review to include more detail. Here are 2 fun fact though...they hold a LADIES NIGHT the 2nd Wednesday of each month starting at 5:30pm and you can also practice archery here (with your own equipment). Until next time! read more

Don't be intimidated. They are there to help. Bought a new rifle and scope and thought when I walked out of the big name store I could hit the target, Nope. I let one of the range masters know and after pulling the bolt and a couple of adjustments all was good. Been going here for years on occasion to dial in a rifle before the season. While being sometimes strict for good reason I Love this place and always feel welcome. Shotgun range is always well staffed and a great group of guys. Archery is just fun. I'm writing this review as a total newby and for that it's important to know a little bit about me. I come from Germany and never handled a firearm and no one I know does it back there. It's just not something you do for fun. I never felt safe in the presence of firearms and therefore never wanted to be near one or touch one. I signed up for a shotgun beginners class with my husband and wasn't sure at all what to expect. I've only been to a shooting range in the US once before, but didn't even touch a gun there because I didn't feel safe or comfortable at all (after a few minutes I left and waited outside). So I tried to keep an open mind and came to the range class room on a nice Saturday morning. I was greeted friendly by the instructors of the class (Travis, Majsan and Paul) and was handed a shotgun beginners class book and a NRA safety card (always, always, always). The theoretical part of the class was well structured and everything was explained really good so everybody could understand everything. There was also a small part of hands-on included so we could touch the shotguns, learn about their mechanics and how to hold, load them and so on. After a lunch break we went to the trap range and were fitted for the right size of shotgun. After some more safety instructions it was time to shoot. My first shot was a hit! (Beginners luck!) We shot some rounds, afterwards we learned how to clean and store a shotgun properly and got our certificates. It was a really positive experience for me as I learned how to handle a shotgun in a safe manner and I had the chance to experience this sport first hand. The instructors were all really nice, professional and I felt safe all the time. I came back to the range a few days later for the "shotgun ladies night" where only women are allowed to shoot, you have nice instructors on site and no mansplaining allowed ;). Oh, and they had pie as it was pie night! (They always have something they'll do as a special for us ladies) I met some more nice people there, shot a round and learned some more from advice they gave me and by watching the more experienced shooters. Then I was invited to the "ladies pistol night" and I overcame my fearful respect (well, the fear part); I learned some more safety (safety first!) and how to handle a pistol. I shot a round of 22s and learned a ton from the nice ladies at the range. It was - again - a positive experience all around. Plus there was a cute puppy to pet outside^^. I have some ammo left, so I will be back (not just because of that of course). All in all I can say that I always felt safe at this range, the people there are really careful and observant and you can learn a LOT. I never had the feeling that someone was careless about anything and I think it's a great environment to learn everything you need to know about firearms and how to handle them in a safe and sane manner. I'm a member here. I think it's a good, versatile range. Compared to like west coast armory, there is more to do here. My wife and I shoot skeet, sight in the rifles and practice with the handguns. My kids are getting into archery. This place has all that. I'm a member at west coast armory as well, but I go there only to discharge pistols. read more

I'm shooting here a lot. Very nice place in very nice location. All staff is always nice and friendly. Peoples who upset about safety rules, you must understand that there is a lot of newbies from all over Seattle area shooting guns for the first time (i always see new faces here) and it's really hard to control them. Prices are outrageous. I shouldn't have to end up spending $35 - $40 when all I want to do is shoot my pistol. After the lane fee, purchasing the required chamber flag, purchasing the required range-approved targets and the money spent on ammo you'll basically be done for the weekend, because all of your money has been spent on 30 minutes of actual shooting time. It's advertised as a "family friendly" range, but l have a hard time seeing that when it would cost a fortune to bring your family to shoot. read more

Meh. Given the limited number of places one can shoot a rifle in the area, I feel badly saying anyting negative. But let me get right to the point: The folks running the range are not great. Why? Absolutely random cease fires. Seriously. If you show up at the wrong time, you can wait 20-30 minutes for them to call a cease fire. Literally everyone on the range has stepped off and is waiting, and the range officer is outside smoking and BSing around with his buddy. I also don't like the fact that they don't allow you to load a magazine in your semi-automatic rifles. I DO appreciate that they can't have high rates of fire out of safety/noise considerations, but thats just absurd. Will I continue to go to Kenmore? Sure, its in Bothel. Can't beat that for convenience. Range benches are fine, with sandbags available so you can setup properly. I just wish they would have a regular cease fire schedule and STICK TO IT. read more

I like the pistol and rifle ranges. I like the focus on safety. I am able to enjoy shooting without having to watch my back. The staff is helpful and the prices on ammo is the best in town. I've been shooting there about 40 years. I probably will be forever. read more

I went to just make sure my rifle was squared away for hunting season; I have CPL the RSO notices and makes me take my pistol put it in the car because hes seen people pull out there pistol and shoot at the 100 yard targets; if you want to be talk to like your a moron and treated like a child by all means go here! read more

I went here to shoot some clay pigeons with the shotgun a couple of days after Thanksgiving. The weather was pretty crappy but I was surprised how many people were there. The lady that helped us out was totally cool. It was my first time in probably 12 or 13 years since I had shot trap before, so someone came out and stood with me and helped out, which I thought was nice. I've read that the range is pretty anal about taking your time, shooting one shot at a time, and not joking around. That's something I find pretty logical and important when you've got a bunch of people with shotguns standing around. Follow the rules and you're golden. I'm too hungry to be witty right now. I've only ever been here for the archery ranges, so I can't speak about any of the gun ranges. We have the annual family plan, which is a very reasonable cost all things considered and we go often enough to get our money's worth. Shooting outdoors is my favorite, so I definitely prefer coming here than to the indoor range. There are lots of target ranges, so there's always something to shoot as long as there aren't a zillion people there (which does happen right before hunting season). I also really enjoy the 3D course. I haven't had much opportunity to talk to the staff, but everyone that I have spoken to was very friendly and helpful. read more

Great leadership, cares about safety above all. Very comfortable place to shoot for this reason, I don't fee like I have to look over my shoulder all the time. The leadership is firm but fair, again top priority is safety. They also have youth programs, archery and rifle programs that I know of. read more

An Anti-gun Organization Disguised as a Range; Originally, I visited as member of the public, and found the Range Officers to be rude and overbearing. So, I tried out being member, thinking that things would get better. I was wrong; they were still rude, and overbearing, and treated my guest and I as if we were dangerous children (and this with decades of shooting experience under my belt, and having given good solid instruction to my guest). Tired of being barked at by wanna-be Drill Instructors, I did not bother to renew my membership, and have since come to the opinion that they are NOT pro 2nd amendment in any respect whatsoever, but instead, are staunchly AGAINST it, and actually exist to DETER shooters from exercising their rights. Avoid this location! There are other ranges in the area that WELCOME shooters and make the experience not only safe, but even FUN. Who would thunk? read more

My son and I have been out to the range several times shooting. The staff at the range is awesome. Eric, one of the range masters, found out it was my sons 12th birthday today is hat he brought his personal rifle out for my son to shoot. If you are firearms enthusiast then this is the best place in the area. It has a large covered handgun range with two long range rifle fields. It features standard archery and a nice walking path archery with animal stand targets. I am a shotgun man and here is where they loose a star. They have a nice set up and a good club house with excellent prices on ammo... but they are all trap. They have Five Stand and can do skeet if requested but both are rarely running; which is disappointing. Still, it's the best place around and I put many many shells down range a week. They also offer beginner courses for those who've never fired anything... It's wonderful experience, especially on a sunny day! read more
