[738] This is our favorite NJ beach and it's FREE Plenty of nearby parking Someone walks around with water and Ice cream for sale You can rent chairs and umbrellas The beach is cleaned each evening. Love walking on it during early morning hours Plenty of cool piers to sit and view the ocean The beach can be crowded on weekend but people walk in and out all day so no big deal We will definitely be back

First of all I'm a Jersey girl and love the Jersey shore. Cleanest beaches in the Crest. Cleaned early in the morning daily. The water is amazing and you frequently see Dolphin playing in the waves or jumped in and out of wakes from the tourist boats. The beach has beautiful fine white sand, you feel like you are in the Caribbean. Perfect spot for families to vacation. Wildwood Beaches: North Wildwood - I always think of NW more where it is a community meaning folks live there full time or have summer homes and stay all summer. Wildwood - watch the tram car please...yes the boardwalk, which has a shuttle down to the water. More lively than the Crest. Wildwood Crest-vacation resort town Diamond Beach - I think is the best of all. My slice of heaven.

    - Clean. I watch them as they rake the beaches every morning at 530. 2 tractors crisscross the beach making the sand perfect. - Lifeguard protected until 5 or 530PM daily in season - Wide beach. - Wooden boards to walk to the beach keeping your feet from sweltering heat. They clean these daily too. - Nice people. Tend to be over 25 with young kids or older empty nesters. The teens that hang here are nice, generally here with their parents but seated far from them. Hey I did that! - Ice cream vendor walks the beach. - Great for early morning exercise. - Awesome sunrises.

The water is silky and the sand is cotton soft. Love this beach! 7.18.2020

Love this beach. The water is silky and the sand is cotton soft. Plenty of bathrooms and attentive lifeguards. Plus it's free (unlike Cape May beach).

I am not a fan of Jersey Shore. AC is complete trash, LBI and OC beach you must pay for and it's crowded. All the other locations don't have a decent boardwalk. Only place left which is decent is Wildwoods and to be more specific Wildwood Crest. Free beach, clean sidewalks, super safe and family-oriented environment. Crest especially has a European feel to it. On the beach you can rent chairs and umbrellas and find portable bathrooms. In the morning there are few places open with bike rentals.

The best beach in America. Bar none. It's clean, free, and growing each year with sand depositing there.

What is not to love about Diamond beach? Amazing sand. Gorgeous views. Just a perfect east coast beach.

Clean beach, well kept. My only complaint is that they should extend the boardwalk seeing it's a far walk to the shore.

Cleanest beach around. Mostly considerate beach goers, unlike Wildwood. Pristine sand. Doesnt get any better than this....

I love National Parks…read more Not just because I'm patriotic with an environmentalist sensibility -- but because they are time warps of sorts -- a glimpse back at the way things once were and (hopefully) will be for our descendants -- long downstream. The Cape May National Wildlife Refuge is a pleasant respite from the commercialism of Jersey Shore holidays -- its' boardwalk attractions, fast food and fast living. It is well marked and you can bring your binocs along to spot wildlife and unique plants and flora found nowhere else. Better still -- bike in and hop scotch around between dunes and other natural formations -- but avoid crossing into the restricted areas that are clearly marked by Area 51 type warning signs -- lest you want automatic weapon toting humans rousting you. We walked the trails in sand, alongside more poison ivy in one 2 square mile stretch than I have probably seen in my entire life. Bring bug spray, a fishing pole to cast off the jetty -- and maybe even long pants and an epipen if you are especially sensitive to insect stings and poisonous plants. Free bird watching walks are regularly available and -- thankfully -- it is a relatively unpopulated attraction so it is soulful in its solitude.

Access from the beach is closed off by ropes and volunteers monitor those trying to walk the refuge from April thru September 31st. Protected area for migrating and nesting birds. There is a great trails to see the wildlife refuge. It runs parallel to the beach. Guided tours are available. We saw some great birds this summer landing on the beach! My first spotting of an American Oyster Cracker. I only wish I was able to get a picture, happened so fast. Don't forget your binoculars! The butterfly migration in October is really something to see, nature at its best. We have spotted white skunks, and have seen one coyote.
