Wiley's boat ride was so much fun. We took a jet boat ride on the Columbia River which was a great way to cool off and see the sights !

My family has rented from Joe at Columbia River Boat Rental every year for the past 5 years. Our…read moreexperience is the opposite of what I have read in the reviews. We rented a ski boat and most recently a pontoon boat with a slide and we have had Great service from Joe, everything has been in working condition with the exception of a radio one time which was no big deal. We also rent 2 jet skis every year. There has been wear and tear on a couple but I alway send Joe a picture of the damage when we first get them. Are they brand spanking new in stellar condition NO thats because renters don't take care of the equipment, Joe does a great job of working with us and I have appreciated the relationship we have every year. I have found Joe to be very accommodating and helpful. Thank you Joe for the great service!!

For $25 I reserved their 22ft Pontoon boat. "Joe" agreed to drive it to Crescent Bar where I was staying, from Wenatchee for an $80 fee. Ok, no problem. Morning of boat day comes, and Joe is at dock as promised on time, however the boat was already in the water. Interesting since he asked me to meet him to help get it in the water off the trailer. In hind's sight, I know why, but we'll get to that in a moment. He takes us on a very brief tour of the boat, and us being eager to get out on the water, didn't think of being a bit more thorough. My biggest mistake. Then we go to sign the contract in the back of his mobile "office" and he pulls the paperwork out of a five and dime suitcase that I think I remember seeing in the movie "Donnie Brasco". Get back on the boat and it starts as it just did when he took us for a tour. We motor out onto the Columbia River at about 3 knots as we got the boat ready to pick up the rest of our peeps. First things first...MUSIC! Aaaaaand the radio is busted. Call up Joe and he says "oh a fuse must be out." No sh**? So no worries, we grab a mobile music player, all our gear, the ladies, and pile into the boat ready for a day of adventures and laughs! Boat starts up just fine....but suddenly won't go into gear. Strange. We try and try and try, and nothing seems to work. So I call Joe. Mind you, this is the third call I've made about this POS boat in an hour. He tells me to keep trying and he'll get out to us as soon as he can. Reverse/Forward...nothing works. My friend sees something wrapped around the prop, so I dive in and untangle it. Upon doing so, I see this MASSIVE chunk taken out of one of the blades. This is not something you can do at 3 knots. Anyone who has ever hit something with a prop knows this. You FEEL it and know when you've hit something. Sooo, I call Joe....aaaagain to emphasize that we are stranded and that there is a huge chunk missing out of his prop, that we did not do. Kind of makes you curious why he dropped the boat into the water before we got there that morning, right? I agree. So after about 45 minutes, he arrives. Tries to get things working, and fails. I tell him again about the prop, and he states that there will be no charge for the day, and he'll void our entire transaction and apologized to all my friends. About an hour later, as we're all poolside and laughing about our amazing boat rental, I see a call that I missed from Joe with a voicemail stating that he voided the transaction but the only thing he "cannot control" is the cost of the delivery, but will not charge me for the prop that WE BUSTED????!!!!!!! My friend calls him back and listens to him go into a tantrum like a little child stating that he will never rent to us again, and that the prop was definitely our doing. The boat was apparently in perfect condition prior to our taking it up river about half a mile at 3 knots. So we broke the radio, the prop, and the drivetrain in 15 minutes, according to Joe. Impressive, right? Especially since I've been around boats my whole life. A second friend takes a shot at talking to this imbecile, and gets more of the same childish whining and almost gets hung up on. GREAT customer service! Hide behind that contract buddy. Hope that $80 you illegally charged my card is worth the lack of renters in your future.

I ALWAYS recommend her to my family and friends because I know she will always take care of her client's needs. Norma Jean will always do the best she can to assist whenever there are unexpected changes and delays. She is very experienced and knowledgeable to help you in any circumstances. I would highly recommend using Journey Travel and Tours and especially Norma Jean Diaz and Sandy for your personal or business travel.

We booked a Viking cruise on the Alsvin with Norma Jean from Journey Travel & Tours, based on the…read morerecommendation of friends. The trip was booked in 2024 and taken in November 2025. Our experience with her and the agency has been extremely disappointing. Norma Jean's primary concern appears to be securing commissions; she received commissions not only for our booking but also for our friends'. To begin, she provided us with an incorrect itinerary, and it seems unlikely she even recognized it was not ours. Furthermore, we inquired multiple times about the weather and appropriate clothing for the cruise, and she suggested a light windbreaker would be adequate. Given that we traveled during the winter months to Germany and Prague, where the average daily temperature, even when it wasn't snowing, was below 30 degrees, a light windbreaker was wholly inadequate. We also inquired about the Christmas markets, as we were eager to visit them. She repeatedly confirmed that the Christmas markets in both Germany and Prague would be open during our trip, which was entirely false. Considering her claims of extensive international travel and having taken the same cruise the previous year, one would expect her to be knowledgeable about the status of the Christmas markets. However, they were closed. This was on top of all the other issues we encountered. To begin, our flight from Boise to Salt Lake City was canceled. I contacted her to determine the best course of action, as the cancellation occurred just two days before our departure. Instead of offering assistance, she "passed the buck," which has become a recurring pattern, and instructed me to contact Viking to make alternative arrangements. However, as our travel agent, shouldn't she be responsible for such matters, especially since she was compensated for our booking? Subsequently, our connecting flight from Salt Lake City to Paris was canceled due to mechanical problems. We were rebooked on a different flight, but she provided no assistance and initially refused to provide a letter confirming the cancellation. It took several text messages and emails before she reluctantly provided it. She claimed she was occupied traveling with her husband, who had recently retired, and suggested I handle the situation myself. Throughout our trip, we faced other delays and challenges that demanded the support of a "travel agent," but she consistently refused to help. Upon our return, we submitted an insurance claim to recover the 1.5 days we lost due to the flight disruptions. We requested a simple letter from her outlining the reasons for the delays, but she denied our request. We then reached out to her supervisor and the agency owner, Sandy, who also refused to assist us. The letter was intended as supporting documentation for our travel insurance claim to validate our trip interruption. Instead of offering assistance, Norma Jean and Sandy directed us to file a claim with the airline, even though we booked the entire package, including the flights, through them and Viking. It's illogical to expect the airline to compensate us for lost days when they simply rebooked our flights. When I called to request a simple letter supporting our insurance claim, Norma Jean hung up on me. This has been the worst experience with a travel agency I have ever had. My husband and I travel frequently and have never encountered such appalling service and a negative attitude. If I could rate them zero stars, I would. DON'T USE THIS AGENCY, NORMA JEAN, OR SANDY!!! They are completely unprofessional and have no customer service skills.
