Mike is an excellent fly fishing guide and river-side chef. I've gone on many fishing trips with Mike and he always goes the extra mile to help me achieve my fishing goals for the day -- whether it's a fun family outing with grandpa or kids, or if I would like to focus more on technical skills in tricky spots, Mike makes it happen and it's always a good time. My husband and I booked a day on the water with Mike for our anniversary trip and we had such an amazing time. Mike is knowledgeable, easy going, and teaches you as you go (if you want), which I appreciate! We will definitely be booking him again, and I would recommend him to anyone wanting a great day of fishing. First flyfishing experience on the Yakama and it was 5 stars all the way. Mike is a fantastic guide and made every moment memorable and fun. Prior to the trip, scheduling was easy and he always had an open line of communication. Then came the trip itself...FUN! Mike is super friendly, takes care of everything for you, is knowledgable on all things relating to the fish and river, and all around interesting guy. His equipment is top-notch (pretty sure the waders were practically brand new), and his boat made for a great float on a perfect day in the sun. We caught some fish, saw a few bald eagles, and learned a lot about casting. This definitely won't be my last experience flyfishing on the Yakama, and Mike will be my go-to for any future trips! read more

We rented a ski boat and most recently a pontoon boat with a slide and we have had Great service from Joe, everything has been in working condition with the exception of a radio one time which was no big deal. We also rent 2 jet skis every year. There has been wear and tear on a couple but I alway send Joe a picture of the damage when we first get them. Are they brand spanking new in stellar condition NO thats because renters don't take care of the equipment, Joe does a great job of working with us and I have appreciated the relationship we have every year. He gave clear instructions on how to operate the boat and gave tips on where to explore on the Columbia River. We had a full day rental, but ended up calling it a little short. We gave Joe a heads up and he met us early on the dock. All in all it was a well run operation that gave us a wonderful day on the water. It is important to call out that the boat was a little worn. There were a couple of holes in the seats and the stereo was a little challenging to get working. Joe and team would do better to have updated pictures on their site so everyone would have clear expectations as to the condition of the boat. That being said, the boat operated perfectly, the motor started with a quick turn of the key, and the bimini was is good operating condition.

I called Mill Bay Marine Monday morning and they said if I could be there at 2PM Aaron would take a quick look at our boat to see what the issue was. Aaron (shop manager) was awesome. Supper nice and helpful. Boat could not be completely repaired in time for our vacation due to lack of part availability. However, Aaron was able to provide a temporary solution that was safe and reliable that same day. His goal was to get us a working boat for our vacation. And he did that. In fact, Aaron and Frazier stayed about 90 mins (maybe more) after closing time to get us operational. They were slammed with work but were still so nice, genuine, and honest... and staying late to help ensure we had our boat during our vacation was over the top. Thank you Aaron and Frazier!! Office manager was also friendly and helpful. Recommend them to everyone.

This will keep you humble at times, but that's part of the challenge. From the people who meet and greet you at the carts to the people in the pro shop, the food and beverage people downstairs all the way to the top of management...there is a new purpose and vision for what this course can be and they are stopping at nothing to make sure it happens. However, the signage really needs improving. (We noticed that at their Alta Lake course, too.) And the hole with two different greens DEFINITELY needs signs explaining what's going on. The nice young guy in the pro shop mentioned that to us, but by the time we got there a couple hours later we'd forgotten what he said and lost balls in the canyon trying to make it to the green for longer hitters, and then couldn't find our way to the cart path. Speaking of which, the way to the cart path needs to be much more clearly indicated. That's probably a large reason people get slowed down!

Highly recommend Mike's services if you're looking to have a great and educational day out on the water. Mike really knows his stuff on several species on a multitude of bodies of water. I would like to consider myself a proficient fly fisherman, but I still like to go out with a guide now and then to learn and get more dialed in, and Mike has been the best experience so far. Not only does he increase my success in finding fish through new knowledge of tactics and technique, but he makes it a lot of fun resulting in memorable days on the water. Plus he documents the trip further through awesome photographs. Thanks Mike, looking forward to getting back out there with you this Spring! read more

Mike was unbelievably patient and supportive of my fishing trip this past weekend with my 10year old. We got us on the fish and kept us getting bites from large fish all day.
