Took my vehicle in for service for an AC repair. We where quoted a price to make the repair which was agreed upon. The owner called me and told me the vehicle was ready. When I picked it up the very next day, it was NOT blowing cold air. I went back in the store (even before leaving the lot) and the presumed Owner/Manager said one of the hoses was leaking. He said it would be another $380.00 to fix the AC (a new hose) in addtion to the money that I had already paid for the initial AC repair!! We spoke with the Owner/Manager who admitted that the lines were working yesterday but, for some reason where leaking today. To reitterate, I hadn't even drove it off the premises when I realized the AC was blowing HOT AIR. We felt very mislead by the whole situation. The owner neglated to take any responsibilty for what happened. It is the responsiblity of the Owner/Mechanic to make an accurate diagnosis and if they make a mistake in that diagnosis, simply take responsibility and make right on the situation. A sincere mechanic would not have treated a consumer this way by taking them down a rabbit hole for a service that failed. This garage took our money without providing the service that we requested. They promised to repair the AC which we paid for then, asked for another $380.00 to actually make the repair. VERY UNTRUSTWORTHY!! read more

I went to Wilhelm for a simple mount and balance and have had success in the past with this shop, however the car came back with a vibration at highway speeds and took it back. I got some rude feedback from the gentleman behind the desk but then continued to perform another balance. Unfortunately the car came back with vibration still. Prior to the new tires I did not have a shake, wobble, or vibration. I gave them a call and they said I could come in again. I started to become suspicious and spent more money for a different shop to take a look at it. Told them the situation and not to my surprise one wheel was an ounce and a half out of balance. I've got pictures of the tire on the balancer out of balance. How come Wilhelm couldn't provide this service? Were they trying to pull one over me? I don't know? And don't care at this point. I found a new shop to trust and don't have to deal with unsolicited sass from the gentleman at the counter. Hate to do this but If you don't want to do the job right then this is what you get. read more

On our way North to a professional meeting in Philadelphia, we thought to stop for lunch in Havre de Grace. As we entered the main drag, the car started "chugging" along and losing power and finally stalled, and we coasted in to the parking lot of the local vape shop. Sorry I don't remember that name because the guys there were extraordinarily nice & invited us in out of the heat. I had just signed up for Allstate tow insurance - contacted them and learned earliest availability was after all the shops were closed. They recommended Wilhelm down the block if I could get the car half a mile to their shop under my own power. fortunately, the car started up and we made it to their place. The staff and owner were great, and went out of their way to help us out. We had to leave the car & get a rental because of the time constraints of the scheduled meeting. Upon return, the diagnosis (fuel pump) while cautiously tentative, was correct and repair cost was very reasonable. A small oversight in the repair was promptly corrected, and we've had no problem since. I would heartily recommend this shop for the excellent work and considerate and gracious treatment while we were under duress. read more

After driving over a piece of tire on 95, there was a terrible flapping sound coming from under my car. I found Wilhelm from Google randomly since I was in the area. In less than an hour, they told me what the issue was, fixed it enough so I could drive the rest of the way back to NY, and only charged me $54 which all things considered, could have been a lot worse. I usually don't write negative reviews, but after the experience at Wilhelm I felt compelled to share my experience. I made an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. The lady who answered the phone took down my name and phone number, but nothing else - not even the make/model of the car. I dropped the car off the night before my appointment and could not see how to open the drop box because it's very dark in front of the building. Oh well, I dropped the keys through the key drop and figured they would call me in the morning since they had my name and phone number. After not hearing from them the day of my appointment, I called around 1:30pm to find out the status of my oil change. Nobody answered the phone so I left a message. Around 3:30 I called again since I still hadn't heard anything. I got to speak to Dave who proceeded to berate me for not following the drop off procedures. When I picked up my car the staff was cold and unfriendly. Their rudeness was only eclipsed by their prices. $107 for an oil change and tire rotation? Needless to say, I will not be going back. You can get a much better price and a whole lot better service going to Mr Tire in Aberdeen. read more

I took my vehicle to Wilhelm's for a coolant flush and a front end alignment. When I returned to pick up my vehicle I noticed that my drivers side door had been "sprung" or the hinges had been bent. My drivers side door is out of alignment and my door trim piece is coming off from it hitting the fender. Wilhelm says that they did not do it, but I know that my vehicle was not damaged when I dropped it off. It is going to cost me nearly $500 to repair. read more
