I don't feel my vehicle was cared for safely here. MY WHEEL ALMOST FELL OFF on the highway! Brought my truck here for 2 new tires and a front end alignment in March 2019. Tires looked great. I left the shop and was driving home and realized the steering is still pulling to the right. Not as much as before but still not aligned properly it seemed. 2 days later I was driving again and I noticed the steering was not quite right. On turns and bumps the steering felt loose. I was very nervous driving so I stayed by the shoulder in case anything went wrong. I called from the car and spoke to the shop. I described the issue and they said their alignment would not make the steering feel loose and that it should be safe to drive until I am in next. They would check it out for me. I came back in August 2019 to replace the other 2 tires and have that alignment issue checked out. (It seemed to be getting worse over the Summer). I told them about it again and described the loose steering feeling the truck had. They said they would check it out. The new tires look great. They said they did not find anything wrong with the alignment. The man also said my truck is so heavy it cannot be lifted on their lift. I was told they had to lift up each wheel individually to change the tires. Strange to me, I thought they had legit lifts and that this was a good place to go for work. I don't feel that way now. So I figure I will just take it to the dealer soon and have them look at it. I always have felt the dealer does the work to Ford trucks all the time, they are just more expensive. They are more expensive and they have more experience with Ford trucks. Wish I could have just gone to the dealer the first time around for this. Less than a month later I am driving down to Severna Park and the truck was vibrating/wobbling. Making a creaking/squeaking noise from the back. More vibration the faster I went. I figured maybe the wheel balance weight fell off and it needs to be redone. When I got to my destination I saw I was missing not only 2 lug nuts, but the 2 studs that the nuts attach to are gone also! I had it towed to the dealer for service. (I was not going to trust my truck back to M&J at this point.) At the dealer we looked at the truck and we saw that two of the 3 remaining lug nuts were so loose I could turn them with my fingers. Only 1 lug nut was tight at this point. Scary! I am so glad I did not have the wheel fall on the Key Bridge. Looks like I was close to that happening! Dealer fixed the wheel, they replaced the studs and I bought new lug nuts and the dealer installed them. The front end issue was the ball joint. My truck is less than 3 years old and only about 42,000 miles. Dealer says the ball joints rarely go bad on a truck so new and with such low mileage. I had the dealer fix the ball joint and they realigned the front end. Works great now! Thank you Plaza Ford for doing the work right. I called the shop to explain my situation and details. The man said he would tell the owner. Mike the owner called the next day and we went over all the details. He offered to refund the alignment of $94.95 and the $26.50 for my new lug nuts. He refused to pay for my rental vehicle, refused to pay for the $148 in towing, and refused to pay for the lug studs replacement. Unknown if the ball joint going bad was related to their poor job at aligning the vehicle. Maybe just a big coincidence that I noticed that trouble 2 days later. So overall, I don't feel safe bringing any vehicles back to this shop. I feel if they can't lift my truck to check out the front end properly, they should have advised to go to a shop that has the proper equipment to do the job correctly. I am disappointed Mike. I am not happy with M&J Complete Auto Repair (Not so complete in my opinion) I now know that you need a certain torque setting to properly get the lug nuts on correctly. Not too tight, not too loose. I does not seem to me that this business uses the proper equipment. My suggestion - Take your vehicle somewhere else. read more

my car was hit by another car, and i always go somewhere else but body shop told me i had no change get this claimed to other insurance. Randomly stoped by to get another opinion. He said why are you PAYING and I will take care of it. Amazing feeling when you are a single woman and always get ripped off by body shops. Car got fixed amazingly and he even worked with my schedule with the kids and finished the job timely. I had my mercedes in the mercedes benz shop for 2 months before for a fix. He is great mechanic and will not go to anyone else to get my car fixed.! read more

I have been taking my cars to M&J for over 15 years. For the most part they have been fair and honest. However, if they damage your vehicle in any way shape of form, they will not take responsibility, regardless of how major or minor the damage. They will respond by say something like "there is no way we did that", "not possible", "we're 100% sure we couldn't have done that". Even if you have pictures validating the damage was not there before brought your car to them.......because they did it before. The owner, Mike, will not assume responsibility or even entertain the conversation of responsibility, and then he will tell you to never bring you car back. It takes a special kind of person to viscously disregard obvious proof of responsibility in leu of maintaining a long term, good paying customer. read more

Me and my friend were at the Independent brewery, and when we came back to his car we noticed that he had a flat. It was 6 PM and even though M&J was already closed for the day, the owner was kind enough to help us out and fix the flat. Best of all - he did it for free!!! This is somewhat unheard of in modern day and age, and it is amazing that people and businesses like that still exist. I recommend you come to M&J for a wheel alignment, tire rotation, or if you are looking for a new set of tires. The place is truly one of a kind! read more

The best !!! I was told about them by a co worker so I gave them a try. The basic first oil changes - bulb replacements - ect. I was leaving work one night and my car was making a awful squeezing sound while driving - thought the worse of course and dropped it off in the night key drop . Come to find out it was just a rock stuck in the caliber or something like that ... ( forgive my non auto lingo) I'm a female with No knowledge on this topic ! But they could of easily told me whatever and I wouldn't known better and paid $$$$ but they were honest and friendly !!! They give you that small town business feel which I also love !!! I took my car to M&J to check out my bakes after I had an inspection done on my vehicle which identified a problem. They were able to take my car next day, perform a more thorough inspection, get all the required parts, and perform the service the same day. Throughout the whole process the team there was very honest, competent, and committed to not only my satisfaction in their service but also my understanding of their diagnosis and recommend solutions. The price they quoted me was extremely fair, and I was very impressed with their professionalism and willingness to deal with all my inquiries. They also have coffee, magazines, and tv available while you wait. On another note, the guys there are nice and personable, and I never felt that I was treated differently because of my gender. I had my the MD state safety inspection performed at M & J. It was smooth, simple, I passed the inspection, and, best of all, they didn't trick me into thinking I needed to repair anything that was working perfectly fine (something I've heard that happens at other auto repair shops). As an added bonus, though you must limit yourself to 1-2 beers, Independent Brewery is right next door and has food trucks daily as well as great beers! read more

Do not buy wheels and tires from this place, you will be sorry. They do not stand behind the warranty. Customer service is horrible and you will regret your wheel purchase. I've gotten a couple sets of tires put on and rotated from here in the past and more recently had my AC fixed after having a horrible experience at the Pep Boys in Dundalk. They found the leak within a couple hours of taking it in, ordered the part that day and had it fixed by lunchtime the next day - also chose to get my tires rotated. Heres my tale. Stopped in on thursday with what I told them was maybe a stuck caliper. (Thud sound from wheel) After 4 hours they called and said "Caliper is fine. We recommend you get 4 new tires." (they were worn well) $550 later I pick up the car. Next day thud sound returns. Call me 3 hours later and say "Caliper is stuck. Need new hose, new pads new caliper, etc. $466." I say " I told you it was stuck thursday, you said no, all i need are new tires. I would not have bought new tires if you didnt say that that was the problem. Can you work with me on price? They offer FREE PADS. a $50 value" They refuse to admit the mis-diagnosis and when Sherri called to ask, the owner hung up on her and had the service mgr call me to come get my car, they werent interested in fixing it. Ive dealt with them at least 10 times and always felt like I was getting ripped off. I only stopped there this time because I felt like my wheel might fall off... read more
