Willa Cleaners and Laundry saved the day! We had a bridesmaid dress that had gotten a number of oil and dirt stains on it at my daughter's small family-only wedding. We needed it cleaned for the big celebration the following weekend. The first cleaner I took it to turned it away not confident they could do anything with it. I took it to Willa Cleaners and Laundry and while they could not give me any guarantees, they promised to try their best. They came through for me! I dropped off my brand new $108 designer dress here because it was close to my work. I quickly Yelped the place when I was driving away and felt assured by all the five-stars. I am not difficult to please -- I just wanted a clean dress. I spilled some soda on it that should have come out pretty easily -- it's not like it was sauce or red wine. The owner said it would be no problem to clean and remove. 1. When I went to pick up my dress at the specified time, it was not ready. The owner asked me to drive across the street to his other location because the dress was over there. I ended up being late to an appointment. He discounted me a whole $1.71 for my trouble. 2. The stain that the owner specifically said that he would be able to remove was not removed. There was no sticker or notification that indicated they failed to remove it. Luckily, I checked before I left the cleaner. The owner carelessly said that he couldn't remove it, but that no one would be able to tell. Actually, they would, and regardless, he is a cleaner and he should either not promise to get stains out, or make good on that promise, and either way, should preemptively notify a customer when the stain could not be removed, especially if that was the whole reason why they brought the dress in. 3. I noticed that the dress looked a little bigger, how strange. I tried it on when I got home and the top is stretched for some reason! That's not even where the stain was! This expensive dress USED TO fit me like a glove. 4. There is damage to the lace on this dress that wasn't there before. Why would I bother with the time and hassle and cost of having my clothes dry-cleaned if that's going to ruin them as much a washing machine would? All I wanted was a clean dress. Instead, it was not in the store it was supposed to be in at the correct time, it wasn't clean, and it's stretched and damaged. I could not imagine a worse scenario. Instead of the measly $1.71 they discounted me, they should really buy me a new dress. Severely disappointed and shortchanged. read more

I've been using Willa Cleaners since we moved to this side of town 4 years ago. Very nice people and they do a great job. They are located at the corner of Red Bug and Tuskawilla in the Albertson's Shopping plaza, just 2 doors down. It's very easy to get to them from any direction you are traveling on Tuskawilla or Red Bug. Orders are always ready on time, best yet, due to their electronic ticketing system I can send in the hubby for pick ups even when he wasn't there to see what was dropped off. The printed ticket has everything listed, very easy for double checks. We've taken in men's suits, ties, dress shirts, women's silk, cashmere, shirts and dresses. All have come back looking great. In one case, they did a wonderful job getting out stains from brand new suit pants (worn once) of my husbands and a lovely silk shirt of mine. Life savers! I used to come to this cleaners many, many many moons ago. Then my route to work change, and so did my life, and it was no longer convenient. Now that the cleaners is close to work again, I'm back! I think the prices seem fair for button down shirts. As compared to other cleaners, i believe it to be a fair price and that is one reason to keep coming back. The service is also very good. Only once I showed up and the "door bell" went off but nobody came to the front. Hmmm? I could see them in the back, but nobody would come, so I had to go out and come back in to have the bell chime a few more times. But other than that, the service is really good. An example of their good service was when needed some shirts to be laundered with a quick turnaround and they were able to deliver without any additional cost. It wasn't a 4-hour turnaround, more like 2 days, but it still helped. read more

First time visiting Willa Cleaners, in need of alterations on a dress for a wedding. I was very pleased with my initial fitting as the lady who helped me was very nice and pleasant. I was not quoted on my alterations (hemming and shoulders taken in) but did not bother ask since I didn't think the damage could be much based on other places I've visited for the same services. I picked up the dress today only to find my bill was of $84.00 for those minor alterations. I am in shock and while I should have asked prior to leaving the dress, I can't believe a place would charge so much for those services. Unheard of! The repairs cost more than the dress! I brought the shirt back to inform the owner and he tried to blame me and said that it was another cleaners that did this, kind of hard to believe when I take all my shirts to this dry cleaner. I was a little worried due to some negative reviews, but the man working today was excellent. They were not only able to do same day dry cleaning at no extra charge, they also removed a red mark I thought for sure would stain! For the record, this is the Willa Cleaners located in the Publix shopping plaza next to the Panera. The Albertsons is across the street, so Lisa W. has the incorrect business or this is possibly a second location to the same business. The picture on this page is from the one in the Publix plaza so I know I have the right one. They don't seem to have a set price for anything. Prices aren't displayed on the wall or on any signs. I've dropped off 5 shirts and been charged $30, then another day dropped off the same shirts and been charged $10. I asked the owner about this who is there 99% of the time. He said the prices vary depending on if the clothes are laundered or dry cleaned. I just assumed everything was dry cleaned as no one ever asked me what I wanted. He said they look at the clothes and decide themselves... I bring the same shirts every time. I guess if he's in a good mood the day you go in you get the cheap price and if not you get the expensive one. They cut a button in half on a brand new shirt I just bought so I brought it back to have it fixed. When I arrived to pick it up the owner charged me $2.49. I asked why, and he said because I wore the shirt. I explained I didn't bring it back to get dry cleaned, I just wanted the button fixed that they broke. It was just cleaned a few days ago and didn't need it, and I didn't notice it was broken until I had it on at work. He said he didn't know that and still charged me the money. You'd think if they broke something they would fix it for free, and wouldn't nickel and dime a guy for a cleaning he didn't even ask for. The time it takes them to do anything varies. If you drop off a shirt on Monday, they will go "How does Friday sound?" If you agree, they will do it by Friday. If you say Thursday, they will do it by Thursday. If you say Wednesday, they will do it by Wednesday. They will push your order back as far as possible if you don't say anything, even when they can get it done earlier. Whatever happened to just doing things as quickly as possible? Also, they won't let you charge anything to a credit card under $10. This is the only sign involving money you will see in the store... Go somewhere else. It's not worth dealing with this nonsense. read more

I've been going here for my laundry for over 10 years. They aren't miracle workers, they are honest, family oriented, customer service focused, and doing the absolutely best they can. I've tried other cleaners and quite frankly, absolutely no other cleaners demonstrate the prompt customer service and customer care like I receive here. Don't take anything you cherish here. They wrecked a gorgeous black silk sweater by WASHING it, not dry cleaning it. Another, reputable dry cleaner confirmed my assessment. The sweater was returned to me a size smaller and with mottled, white marks all over. They refused restitution, claiming the sweater was like that when I brought it in. Was charged $17 to have my suit ruined. I do not use the dry cleaners often, but needed my suit cleaned for an upcoming job interview. I used the Willa Cleaners as they are close. When I picked up my suit I found what appears to be pick marks on the back near the upper left shoulder area. I know the use a lot of staples in that establishment so I can only assume my suit was caught on a staple. When I returned to the cleaners to ask for an explanation the response from the manager was "oh that was there before." I responded that I was sure it was not there as I would not have a ruined suit cleaned. The manager stated he cleans all articles himself and ran across the pick marks and "assumed I knew it was there." I then asked why I was not notified immediately or when I picked up my clothing. The manager responded stating it was an oversight. They took no responsibility, did not offer any refund or recompense and even went so far as to blame me by stating "we are honest with our customers and we expect our customers to be honest." I will never use these cleaners again and will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. read more

I have used these cleaners for around two years. Just recently I had a blue silk tie come back grey. Today I pick up shirts and find the care label ripped out of one of the more expensive shirts ($ 100.00) and its streaked with black and very fine holes along one of the seems. They have completely ruined thousands of dollars worth of clothing. I just picked-up my dry cleaning and discovered that 2 of my brand new dresses... both of which cost over $500 EACH, have only been worn once, and dry cleaned for they very fist time... are completely destroyed. There are even spots all over both dresses where the fabric has been literally, completely melted away. The other 5 dresses and 1 skirt I just picked-up are all covered all covered in some sort of yellowish film, have what appears to be dirt marks all over them [that were not there when I dropped the items off], and have a noticeably musky to them. I paid over $90 to have a total of 7 dresses and 1 skirt dry cleaned, and in exchange they have completely ruined thousands of dollars worth of clothing. read more

MAKE SURE TO READ THEIR LIABILITY POLICY BEFORE PATRONIZING THIS BUSINESS! Their liability policy explicitly says that they are not responsible for any damage they cause to your items. This was told to me by their General Manager and he also pointed out that it's detailed on the back of their receipts. My Experience: Upon picking up a blouse I had dry cleaned by this business, there was a very distinct stain that wasn't there when I had dropped it off. 1) I brought the shirt back in, where the woman working the front counter told me that they would try to get the stain out and that they may have applied a little too much heat to garment. 2) I pick up the blouse for a second time. A different woman, who was very difficult to understand, tells me that I caused the stain. I explained to her that when I dropped the blouse off initially, the garment was in perfect shape. After a little back and forth, the woman finally offered to try to remove the stain a second time. 3) I pick up the blouse for the third time. This time the stain was a little less visible, but now the delicate fabric was stretched out and unwearable. I explained the situation to the nice young man behind the counter and he told me he would have the owner give me a call. 4) The owner calls me. He is extremely difficult to understand and talks over me the entire conversation to the point, where I have to raise my voice to get a word in. The conversation is left with him recommending I come back in so he can explain their dry cleaning process to me. 5) The General Manager calls. (Why this person didn't call in the first place, I don't know). After much back forth, he offers to reimburse 60% of the blouse's net worth. As far as I know, this experience was WAY too much hassle.
