The other day I was in for a missing filling and part of a tooth that fell off. The dentist did an amazing repairing my filling and tooth. Willamette did a crown on me about two years ago. It broke because it was too thin and made out of the wrong material. It cost me over $1000 to get it replaced because they would not do the right thing and admit it was made incorrectly. I would not recommend them for anything! read more

Do not waste your time with this office or the one in grants pass. They literally don't have a scheduling system that works. They literally do not have any dentists available. This place is a joke. I've had Willamette Dental for eight years as my dental provider, but I've only been in the Medford office for a few months because Grants Pass is closing. The quality of care is garbage. You don't listen to your patience and you give less then bare minimum care. I got better care from the assistant than I did from the Doctor Who wouldn't even come see me. I was there to address getting a new partial made. She looked at my x-rays and because I have bone loss. She said that I would need to get two of my teeth pulled before she would look at making me a new partial which one of those teeth is on the bottom so it should have no bearing on whether or not my partials made for the top of my mouth . I have several coworkers who tell me the same thing I will not be returning to the Medford Willamette Dental group and I will not carry them as a provider any longer anybody's gotta be better than this. Willamette Dental in Medford are robbers. Their office staff did not actually cancel my husbands appointment after I called and cancelled it. They then charged him 50 dollars for there mistake, would not let him make an appointment for his broken tooth till he paid them their ransom but had no problem continuing to collect there premiums. 7 visits and absolutely nothing has been done. tried to talk to customer care and gelatin absolutely nowhere. I need oral surgery but will the dentist give me a referral nope def not. keep coming up with excuses and band aid fixes that dont work. im stuck with this god awful ins and the dentist refuses to help. the last appt I wasted an hour and a half drive all the way there only to sit for 20 min to say my appt was canceled cause they were over booked. there are a few nice people but the main dentist is HORRIBLE!!!!! now I have to go see a real dentist, not some dei hire because of their refusal to fix the issue. read more

Run away! These people don't care about your health and they make decisions based on money and don't give you the fine print. My wife and I signed up for WD via her employer's benefits coverage. We found out very quick why they were a less expensive option. In short they refuse to see you for anything except once a year. After my initial cleaning and visit I found it odd that they refused to make follow up appointments on the spot. months later when I wanted to make a follow up cleaning appointment 6 months later, they refused. Saying, oh we're booked and we only make appointments 2 months out...?? Huh?? Then the next month the same excuse. The next month, again. Finally after 10 months, they told me the real reason, my dentist had me set on a "yearly only" cleaning schedule... which of course could not be changed until meeting with the dentist... which you guessed it, I could only get an appointment 2-3 months out. So the scam is this, they take your money all year but make excuses not to see you more than once a month. Who cares what your health is, who cares if your teeth need cleaning!? We're gonna have to bite the bullet now and buy out-of-pocket insurance for Delta Dental just to get my teeth cleaned until open enrollment comes and we can drop this garbage scam. read more

Don't expect to be seen as a new patient if you don't have dental insurance! They were accepting new patients up until I told them it would be a "cash paying" account. Then she says " I'm sorry , we aren't accepting new patients at this time" You see....Dental offices can charge your insurance companies a higher fee and get paid more, where as if you are paying cash, the fees are lower which means less money 8n their pocket. Flat out discrimination right in my face. And people wonder why our society is frustrated angry. read more

I really felt let down after 6 months of paying in to the insurance that they still are giving double-talk on my requests for help. You should choose a different insurance and dentist. The office staff and hygienist staff are wonderful but the dentist I saw (Jennifer Callans) was atrocious. This woman has control issues. If you dare to politely decline even a part of her prescribed treatment, she will attack you personally, postulate about her intellect and then refuse to treat you in ANY capacity. Never in my life have I had a worse dental experience than here. I have had a plethora of major dental procedures done throughout my life, root canals, chipped teeth, etc. All I came in for to Willamette was a cavity filling. After MANY attempts at numbing the area, I could still feel extremely sharp pain during the filling and asked them to pause and questioned if we should keep trying this method because I wasn't sure if I could take anymore numbing at this point either. I was already choking/gagging on my own throat and struggling to breathe I was so numb, I've never had so many numbing shots for a procedure in my life, so it's really puzzling to me how I could still feel such sharp pain on the tooth. After deliberating with the dental assistant I decided to try one last numbing shot, however that never happened because the main dentist had already decided to move on to the next patient and wouldn't work on me any more. They sent me home with a hole in my tooth (partially drilled cavity) and said they were booked out for the next two months. It's an absolute joke and just plain unprofessional to do something like that. They decided giving up on me would be easier than figuring out why I was still feeling so much pain. I just left this office after my first ever appointment as a new patient. I had not been to a dentist since I was a teenager (over 10 years) so I was a little apprehensive but the staff here is amazing. I spent the most time with Theresa the hygienist and Dr Wagner, both were excellent. Everybody else I interacted with was warm, welcoming, and polite. They took care of me quickly and gave me some prescription toothpaste, letting me know there weren't any big issues that needed to be addressed. Well I first of all they good friendly and all I found out from several Deaf and hard of hearing people who use ASL AMERICA SIGN LANGUAGE when you make the call this company in Washington Idaho KNOW must provide interpreter it the law!! Period ! In Medford Oregon I was shocked to hear last night they refused to pay for an interpreter for Deaf clients really ?!!!!!!! Writing is not always effective communication for Deaf people that the truth this dentist office will talked about and I going to do something about this ! We got a grant to train all medical dental private companies think they don't need to provide interpreters WRONG ! Absolutely the worst dental care ever. At first my husband and I were impressed with the cleanliness and infection control measures used in the office, and the hygenist did a good job. It was all downhill from there. Their crowns take 5 or more weeks to arrive, no, it wasn't an error, that's how long they take to come in from China. I had two failed crowns at this office, and the dentist was always in such a hurry to get to the next patient that his check-ups missed a serious problem with one of my teeth. Most of the work is left to the dental assistants, and the work is not checked thoroughly by the dentist. Dental care is subpar, and the office also makes a lot of billing errors. read more

I told Dr.Gadi that I was moving out of state and would like to have my teeth fixed before losing my insurance and he ignored my requests for treatment to my teeth. I wanted to get them fixed so that I could get braces and he said to get them fixed after braces. Are you kidding?! My sister was scheduled with him also and she needed bridgework and he told her that he wasn't talented enough to do it. He's just a typical HMO dentist... sad. read more

I've been a patient at Willamette for just over a year and absolutely love the Medford office. Everyone is extremely kind, efficient and knowledgeable. They take a different approach and are genuinely interested in your long-term dental health. The last (local) dentist that I was seen by quoted me a few thousand dollars, claiming I needed a multitude of extensive work. Turned out that wasn't the case at all. Ended up needing three very minor fillings and nothing more. So refreshing to be seen as a person and not a means to a paycheck. Would highly recommend this practice to anyone. read more

Just switched to Willamette Dental and 2 appointments so far this year and already feeling like I want to switch dental plans and this is why. - instead of talking to the Medford office directly you are transferred to a call center for Willamette dental. Communication between this call center and the office is severely lacking and sets patients up for a confusing appointment. Called to make an emergency appointment for an infected tooth. When showed up at the office they said they were doing a general cleaning and new patient appointment . That's when I told them I made the appointment for an infected tooth in which she replied well that's not what we were told. ( just simple communication from the call center on what this appointment was actual for would have made a less stressful appointment) - at the first appointment I showed up 15 minutes early to check in and there were 5 people waiting with 1 receptionist checking people in. If I didn't have anxiety when I walked through the door I sure did in the long line and waiting for the 1 woman to check in everybody as numerous other workers walked up front but didn't help. Finally when it was my turn I was taken back and told I would have to reschedule my cleaning portion of my appointment because I was late. What?? You have 1 receptionist and a line of people and then you punish the patient by making them reschedule??? Needless to say I will be switching my dental at open enrollment and would not recommend this unorganized office for any dental care. This place creates anxiety and stress for patients and leaves a lot to be desired in patient care. read more

I have had a terrible experience with this dental office. Back in March I came in for a loose crown and was turned away and told to wait until it fell out. I developed an abscess under that same tooth maybe 6 weeks later. I was then told the whole tooth was loose and it had to be pulled. I waited two hours before even being seen for that appointment. I had my tooth pulled and now have a flipper. I had my first new patient cleaning and exam scheduled just days after the tooth extraction but they ended up canceling it because of the extraction. Now that I am trying to be seen for that exam to get my teeth cleaned and any other work that needs to be done. I am told I can't be seen for 2 months. It wasn't my fault to begin with that the cleaning appointment was rescheduled because I was misdiagnosed the first visit. It is annoying to have to call an appointment hotline rather than the actual facility. I can't say how much I am displeased with this entire experience. I understand things are different with COVID but this is ridiculous. read more

I do believe that this dentist office has something against disabled people or maybe it's that they think disabled people do not deserve the same courtesy as others. I took my sister-in-law in for an appointment, she has had a stroke and is severely handicapped. We waited for 1 1/2 hours to finally be seen. During the wait time we were told nothing, and were pretty much ignored until I started to get agitated regarding the wait. When the dentist finally came in we were told we had a long wait time so she could be sure to have enough time to fix my sister's tooth. From the time that the dentist walked into the door, looked at my sister's tooth, and had her assistant put fluoride on her teeth was a total of 10 minutes. She did nothing to help my sister with the pain she is in but she did manage to insult her saying that stroke victims sometimes don't know or really understand what pain is due to nerve issues. She also told us that there were many walk-ins ahead of us so we needed to wait to be9 seen. My sister had this appointment scheduled for a month, and the walk-ins were more important to this dentist. These Walkins were not emergencies I know this because I could hear what was going on in the room next to us. I am appalled by the service and lack of care that this dentist office gave to my sister. read more

I just got Willamette dental through my employer and to be honest I was really nervous about it. Today was mine and my 2 year olds first cleanings and exams and my child absolutely HATES the dentist (as most children do) and I was not looking forward to the experience. Getting to see the hygienist and the Dr. himself was a really quick process. The hygienist was extremely sweet and made sure I knew exactly what she was doing every step of the way which helped to keep the usual (what does that mean?!) anxiety for myself. Everyone was really straightforward and it was really nice. When it was my kiddo's turn I was really anxious because her previous dentist used to have me basically hold her down while they pried her mouth open to clean and check her teeth, and while I was prepared to do just that it's always an upsetting experience. Dr. Le and his team were a pleasant surprise. The only tears coming from my daughter were nervous and they were quickly stopped as the staff made the visit into a game. Her hygienist was sweet, taking her time to talk to my child and convince her to let her apply the fluoride and Dr. Le was equally as patient, talking with and teasing my daughter until she was happy to open up and let him look at her teeth. The name of the practice, "Family Dental" is definitely no joke and I would recommend them to anyone. read more

Set your expectations low as far as work quality. I had two fillings that fell out within a week of each other a year after I had them put in. I was not doing anything out of the ordinary or eating anything at the time. They both just crumbled in my mouth each time. I take very good care of my mouth and the fillings were a result of a car accident. When I called, they said they "don't guarantee their work" and I would still need to pay full price for them to replace it. It was $75 per tooth, which would now be more as I didn't have insurance through them any longer. Additionally, this would need to be done in two appointments that I would need to pay out of pocket for, one for an evaluation and one for the procedure. This was the answer I received after it took two phone calls placed to them when they did not get back to me like I was told they would. Customer service rep acted like she gets these calls daily as she did not care at all that I was off to find a new dentist and gave a very standardized answer without any understanding or offer for additional assistance. Not even meeting in the middle on this at the very least. I don't like throwing my money away and I feel like I did with this dental office. read more
