May of 2018 we had a flood due in our utility room due to a water heater leak. WVR came in and seemed to know exactly what they were doing. They had the room in plastic, dryers, and brought in the people to do the work to put the room back together which included replacing dry wall, flooring, cabinets, etc. For weeks the work did not begin and and repeated attempts to contact them resulted in, 'Mike's not in, he'll call you back'. Calls were consistently unreturned. In one successful contact with Mike, who was the project manager, he told us that the flooring had not come in and that's why they hadn't started the job. We called the flooring company and they said that he had not ordered it. From the time that work did begin, it was a nightmare.Mike provided no plans to us or his workers, he mismeasured so that the work they began was not possible to complete (this was caught by a worker who, within a day was let go for some reason- he was a skilled worker) He and another man had to come over and restructure the plan. The workers did good work at first, but Mike was never available and so the work would get held up. When they installed the water heater they did not fill the tank before starting it up so it burned out the element. The work was not completed until Nove 5th, no plans or itemized list was ever provided. We had to get the itemized list of work from the insurance adjustor. The bill was paid by insurance and extra work contracted for the job was paid by us in full. Just last month, we discovered a leak again. Our water heater closet was swollen shut and the replaced drywall work inside the house adjacent to the closet was cracked (18", 7" long, 1/4" wide), in the seams. WVR claimed that the cracks were the result of "the house settling" and they claimed no responsibility for their workers' installation of the water heater. When we contacted our insurance company as when we could expect the work to begin (WVR would not return our calls), our insurance adjuster reported that Mike had told him, "Why should I do the work when they still haven't paid me?" This, of course, was a shock, and threatened our reputation and credibility with our insurance company. Mike had claimed WVR they had widened our doors and completed other work for which they were not paid. This is patently false- no such work was ever done. WVR front office confirms that all bills to us have been paid in full. Mike slandered us to our insurance company. I do not know what struggles WVR are having as a company or if this is just their business model, but we still have black mold in our house and are trying to get a resolution for the condition Willamette Valley Restoration has left our home. We can't get back the time, stress and frustration of having dealt with such an unprofessional, shoddy company over the past 10 months. read more

I have used WVR two times for repairs and they have been amazing both times. The first was when my business flooded (a toilet ran for 2 weeks while we were out of the office, destroying all of the flooring and flooding the basement with all my important documents.) I called WVR immediately and they were able to send out someone right away. They coordinated with my insurance so I didn't have to think about any of it. They had great people who redid our original soft wood fir floors and restored them to like new. And, most importantly, they had the right equipment to dry out my documents so they were still usable. Out of 30 boxes worth of papers, only 1 and a half were not back to "usable" condition. The second time I used them, I had a leaky pipe around my shower that I didn't know was leaking inside the wall until I noticed a huge wet area on the ceiling in our dining room below. Again, they came over immediately and got started. With the sensors they had, they were able to tell where the water started and stopped in the ceiling and only cut out what they needed to. For about a week, it looked like the movie ET in our house with plastic wrap everywhere to cordon off the parts where they were working! We were still able to use all the other areas and they did not interfere with our daily lives. When they restored the ceiling, they matched our heavy plaster "design" in the ceiling to the point that you cannot tell what is old and what is new. I've been impressed both times we've used them. Our water heater drain valve failed open while we were away helping relatives move. For four days, hot water leaked and flowed on our main level of our custom home. The damage was extensive and the need to quickly dry out our home was essential. WVR had the right staff, tools, equipment and immediate response to address this before mold and mildew could set in. They brought dehumidifiers, fans, heaters, ducting, and cleaned up and removed all damaged flooring, sheetrock, tile, insulation that was wet and soaked through. This was really terrific at a time of great stress for us. Hats off to Willamette Valley Restoration and we are happy to report our home is restored! read more

Their estimator came out as soon as called. He took samples of damage to submit to lab to estimate quality of damaged floors and promised to call back within three days. He did not call at all that entire week. I am disabled, home 24/7 and have an answering machine. The next week I called them and was told that "nobody who could discuss the estimate was in the office" but that they would call "the next day". When no calls came, I called them EVERY DAY FOR SIX CONSECUTIVE DAYS and each day was given the same nobody was in the office but they would call back the next day speech. Nobody called me back during that week. They wanted an immediate 50% deposit on materials they had never shown me or even described. The following week, they finally called and set an appointment for the end of the week. They said their initial estimator had quit. Dead silence from them when I asked why I had not been informed of the reason for their lack of response or about the delay. I am an M.B.A. former University professor and do not send thousands of dollars for materials I have never seen or heard about, phone calls not returned for over two weeks, and the worst communication I have ever experienced. After a heavy snow storm in the early part of 2019, we lost several buildings on our property. Our insurance agent gave us a list of companies to call for help. We called Willamette Valley Restoration. They were prompt to send out an employee to view our property. The person requested we go online an sign a contract immediately (we did not sign the contract). After that first initial visit and on the same day, two men were sent to the property. They placed 6 (2" x 6") boards) braces on one of the buildings and left. We heard no more from Willamette Valley Restoration until we received an invoice in July 2019. The charge for the two men and 6 boards was $492.98 and there was a late charge attached to our account. I have notified our insurance agent regarding the company and their billing. The valve for the ice maker on our refrigerator leaked water UNDER the house. By the time we noticed a bulge in the floor in front of the fridge the water damage had spread up the walls and into the living room. WVR showed up immediately and started water mitigation that same day. There were the normal "hitches" in the process, but WVR did most of the dealing with the insurance adjusters and worked the demo and reinstallation of floors and countertops at times that we had already planned to be away from home so our displacement was zero. WVR was unfailingly prompt about returning texts and phone calls. Over all we were very happy with the work they did and the few minor complaints we had were dealt with promptly and to our satisfaction. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

After a dishwasher problem flooded our downstairs hardwood floors, we called WVR as our insurance agency gave us their name. They showed up in about two hours after we called them to begin the water mitigation. It took lots of fans over almost two weeks to dry things out but they paid great attention to detail and checked everyday to monitor the ongoing progress. They were very courteous and ready to explain the process and answer any questions. They cleaned up well after they were finished and also took care of getting our throw rugs professionally cleaned . Because of their painstaking methods, it seems that the floors can be refinished rather than replaced. We will have them do that also. read more

I have had 1 experience with WV Restoration and will never have business with them again. I had a water leak from my hot water heater and they came out with the dryers and such to start getting the process going. That was the end of the good. 18 months later the work is done after one day of work here and there and then nothing for weeks to months. Poor to no communication from company to homeowner. WVR ordered replacement door that was different from original without consulting the homeowner. Work had to be re-done multiple times to have finished and done right. Now that things are complete they are not able to provide me with an itemized bill or give me a total that is owed. The bill that was presented to me stated to pay now to avoid late charges and when talking to the person in the billing department they didn't have that correct. I have now waited a month and a half for my itemized bill and final bill of what is truly owed. I just want to be done!!!!! read more

WVR is an excellent company. We had major water damage in our kitchen and bathroom. WVR showed up within 1 hour after our insurance called them to begin water mitigation. During the whole process, the WVR crew remained very professional and courteous and worked hard to finish everything in a timely manner. They should change their name to Crisis Vultures. The representative was never called, very pushy and took pictures after the fire inspector told him not to. Also, he informed us they would cover all the windows with plywood... They used press boards and neglected to cover all but one window downstairs (where looters can break in). His crew looked like they were straight out of jail and they left all their scrap "plywood" on the premises. Highly unprofessional and greedy is my impression. read more

Can't say enough about these guys. They arrived at my door within a hour of me calling my home insurance company. The water line to my refrigerator burst raining water into two rooms making a mess of the wallboard and contents of the rooms. It took some time to dry things out but the craftsmen at WVR brought everything back to as good as new including refinished floors.
