I did the red tasting flight which consisted of 3 pinot noirs, a merlot, and a tempranillo. Oregon is known for its pinot noir and those were the wines I thought were best. Niki enthusiastically provided information and details of each wine as she poured. I appreciated her honest insights and opinions of Willamette Valley wines and of various types of wines in general. She really made the tasting experience both fun and educational. The relaxed atmosphere of this place was perfect for sipping wine. I ended up leaving with a bottle of 2021 Tualatin Estate Pinot Noir which was my favorite of the ones I sampled. read more

It's not the first time I've been to the tasting room on 3rd Street, but each time it's better. The staff is so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Tonight we stopped in to grab a bottle of the Grenache from the Maison Bleu label. While I've already ordered a few, my shipment came the day before I left for Oregon and with this varietal coming from the Milton-Freewater AVA, I had to get it now! It was everything and more. Yum! Back to the tasting room... The vibe is chill and there's enough room in here for a few different sized parties. They have some great wine! And cool trinkets, oils and such. My daughter and I really enjoyed our wine tasting today!! We bought some food to go along and it was excellent.... and a very reasonable price. The "server"(?) explained each wine and took time to answer our questions as well as talk about our thoughts on the wines we tasted. Tastings were reasonable priced especially compared to Sonoma/Napa area where I reside. It was an easy afternoon and we got a great introduction to WVW. Jeff was knowledgeable and pleasant. We didn't feel rushed or pressured to buy wines. We expected good Pinots and Chardonnays and was pleasantly surprised by the awesome Cabernet Franc and Tempranillo. My wife and I had a baby recently- well she had it- but we've spent so much time focusing on caring for our daughter that we've not had the time to focus on us. So I wanted to surprise my wife with a date night chock full of things she enjoys such as quality spirits and live music. We popped into the Willamette Valley Vineyards Tasting Room last Friday night to enjoy their high quality wines and live piano music, and it did not disappoint. The staff were especially friendly and helpful, giving us pointers not only on the types of wines we'd enjoy (they nailed it), but on other establishments in town that would help make our night that much more enjoyable. When in Willamette county, drink wine! During the heat dome of unbelievably hot weather, even that couldn't stop us from wine tasting. Had a daily and reserve flight and really enjoyed the variety offered here. Peter was great, friendly, and personable as our host. When we arrived there was one other person, but I think she worked there and then as enjoyed our wines, the placed filled up fast! That's a good sign :) After our tastings, we each enjoyed a glass of our favorite and people watched some more :) read more

We had the charcuterie as a shared starter, and I would be hard pressed to think of any we've had that comes close to the excellent quality, assortment and presentation. My risotto with shrimp was loaded with perfectly cooked veg and seasoned really well. My husband had a delicious salmon dish and our meals were complemented with pairings of WVV wines. Chose this location as we had a complimentary wine tasting from an on-line membership and am glad we did. This was the second time I had been here because I really enjoyed this place last time. The two wine pourers behind the bar were absolutely fantastic and made my fiancé and I feel extra special. I had just proposed to my girlfriend a few hours before we walked in here. We came in to do a little wine tasting before we headed to dinner. As we were tasting some of their amazing wines, one of us mentioned that we had just gotten engaged. Before we knew it a bottle of one of their absolutely amazing champagnes was opened. Not only was that festive, it was the best champagne both of us have ever had. We plan on getting some bottles for our wedding. Really enjoyed the tasting outdoors on their covered patio. Well-spaced tables; some with heaters. Food is ordered inside then brought out to the table as a to-go order. But it is okay to eat it on the patio while doing a tasting or having wine by the glass or bottle. Food was great. We had a BLT burger and Steelhead burger. In August, during a weekend visit to McMinnville for the Oregon International Air Show. We decided to walk downtown on Thursday night to find a place to eat and came upon the Tasting Room. What a delight! We enjoyed our evening experience thoroughly, from the wines we tried to the cheeses and meats. We especially enjoyed the great service provided by Jeff. He was knowledgeable of all items on the tasting menu, and he was exceptionally customer service oriented.
