Thirty five minutes I had to get a menu and had to walk up to the bar to get water Ended up getting a beer for my husband. Was ready to buy dinner and at least one bottle of wine. but not today. Jared I was told was the waitstaff assigned to our table I never got to meet him. I've been to the other location totally good experience but although it's a nice building here it's uncanny how much you can be invisible at a restaurant. This is the worst experience I have ever had a restaurant anywhere. Speaking as a decade Yelper I don't like this type of review. But it's clear they need to work on customer service. At the time of this review we have been at the table 50 minutes with no table service response whatsoever. Staff walks past us. By contrast at the bar two staff members were helpful and pleasant and they were a sharp contrast to the other staff members we had seen. There was also a nice gentleman in a purple shirt that spoke to me when I had gone to get a menu, he appeared to be hosting but wasn't available when we arrived. I do not recommend this Willamette valley vineyards location *update, Jared did show up to the table 1 1/2 hours after we arrived. Maybe he was busy, but sadly he walked past us more than 7 times ( I stopped counting). He offered to bring me more water, I declined. We went searching for wine and food on a Saturday night and Willamette Valley Vineyards had both in full effect. I was especially drawn in by the food menu that not only designates wine pairings as any vineyard restaurant should, but it also marks gluten free options clearly. Most things on the menu are gluten free or can be made that way. This was a huge plus for me. There is indoor and outdoor seating and looks like it can accommodate parties of any size. There are also couches near fire pits for cozy chatting as well. There is a flight/tasting option, wines by the glass, or by the bottle. Since we were having two glasses of the same wine, we were talked into a bottle. I appreciated the suggestion. Our server was knowledgeable and helpful. We had questions about menu items and everything was made super clear. Service wasn't speedy, but it was thorough. Our allergies and dietary needs were all met and cared for. We had the cascadia board to start (a little pricey) and shared the spring pea risotto with salmon (crispy skin, perfect cook, so delicious!) paired with the rose, it was a delicious meal. Such a lovely spot. The balcony is beautiful and a great place to sit with a glass of wine, but the service was what really stood out. Jared was fantastic. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing due to the customer service we received from Susie, who appeared to be either the restaurant manager or a member of the front-of-house team. From the beginning, her tone came across as unwelcoming and dismissive. While I understand that accommodating a large group can be challenging, it felt as though there was little effort made to help us or make us feel valued as guests. Even if accommodations weren't possible, a simple "We'll do our best" would have gone a long way. When we arrived for our reservation, we were immediately asked, "Are you going to eat?" which felt unnecessary and gave the impression that our business wasn't wanted. We were then told that the majority of our group needed to be present before we could be seated, despite having several people ready to sit down, order drinks, and begin spending money while waiting for the rest of our party to arrive. That said, I want to recognize our waitress, Morgan, was wonderful. She was patient with our orders, attentive without being intrusive, and gave our group the space to enjoy our conversations and time together. Morgan's service was a bright spot in an otherwise frustrating experience. Overall, the issue wasn't the policies themselves--it was the way they were communicated. Hospitality is about making guests feel welcome, and unfortunately, that was not our experience with the front-of-house management. read more

We visited as a large group back in a Sunday night in July. The place is really nice on the second floor. There are two sets of stairs but also an elevator since in our case we had an elderly person with us. We wanted the outside seats which are comfortable almost couch-like like some even around the firepit which has a nice view of the river but they accommodated us indoors. Mind you we were the only group dining indoors. I don't think the servers were expecting such a large group (12 people) because even though the inside of the place was empty they took a while to serve us our food and mind you for appetizers the table only ordered three tomato bisque soups and one cheese board. I've been wanting to try this place for awhile now, but their lunch menu doesn't have many options compared to other Vancouver Waterfront restaurants nearby, so I've been putting it on the back burner. I finally decided to give it a try today since I was meeting a wine lover for lunch! I made a reservation online through their website. They weren't busy at all for lunch on a Thursday. Only two tables occupied the 1.5 hours we were there. They might be busier during dinner. The area was super busy and no street parking available, so I ended up parking in the nearby garage. The garage rates are comparable to the street parking rates paid for through Parking Kitty. The garage is paid by QR code and an online website, Amano One. I was greeted and seated upon arriving. I was even offered a chilled white wine sample when I sat down. It was a delicious and refreshing white wine. The server described it as an Austrian grape and a dry wine. It was good. I would definitely order a glass with dinner. We decided on the chicken Caesar salad and grilled herb chicken sandwich for entrees. My friend subbed the fries with her sandwich for a small side Caesar salad. The food was good and fresh. Our server was friendly, helpful and attentive. We skipped dessert and opted for ice-cream at Salt & Straw nearby. Overall a nice first visit here. Our dinner at Willamette Vineyards on the Vancouver Waterfront was the kind of evening you hope to stumble into once in a while, like a twenty-dollar bill in an old coat pocket. The view over the river was lovely, the kind of scene painters try to fake and fail. We started with a half dozen oysters. They were a bit small, sure, but they tasted like the ocean had forgiven us for something. Then came the roasted chicken, which was tender, juicy, and prepared with more care than most people apply to human relationships. The wines were spectacular. The Syrah in particular was a revelation. Logan, our server and fellow Syrah enthusiast, lit up when he talked about it. He was not just pouring drinks, he was curating a small, grape-fueled moment in time. And Cameron, who took care of us throughout, was an absolute joy. Charming, attentive, and genuinely fun. The Pinot Noir reminded us why the Willamette Valley has a reputation. It was like drinking the best parts of summer and autumn at the same time. What a classy establishment. I came here with an associate for a night out and while I didn't have any wine the interior and exterior was so gorgeous. I felt like I was in a movie. I really liked how everything was presented and even the fireplace that was on created such a cozy atmosphere. I was here with a very large group after a work conference. One of the sponsors of the conference rented out the entire venue for the evening and paid for all the wine pours and buffet. Wines were good. I am not an wine expert or anything but I drink enough wine to know what I like and what I don't like. This venue had pretty much any wine variety you might be looking for. I really enjoyed the pinot noir (which is almost a no brainer to try given where the vineyards is located). What was a bit surprising and new to me is that they were pouring white pinot noir. Maybe they should be calling it pinot blanc? I was not a huge fan of it but I thought it was interesting. It was served chilled and it was white. Bartenders and servers were very nice and helpful. The location is hard to beat. It is located right on the water with a long outdoor seating deck that wraps around right above Columbia river. I didn't get to see the regular menu or the prices but I highly recommend this place for a big group / party. read more

Worst service on the Waterfront. We left before ordering because of how we were treated by our server, Lyndsey. We were a party of eight and asked if it was possible to sit outside. Lyndsey immediately told us it couldn't be done. When we politely asked to speak with a manager, her attitude became noticeably worse. She eventually seated us outside, but in an uncomfortable location that appeared to be more of a punishment than an attempt to accommodate our request. She refused to consider any alternatives and made us feel like we were an inconvenience from the moment we arrived. By that point, we were so uncomfortable with the interaction that we decided to leave before ordering. Honestly, we had lost confidence that our meal would be handled professionally. We've always understood that restaurants have seating limitations, and "no" would have been perfectly acceptable if it had been delivered courteously. The issue wasn't the seating--it was the dismissive, confrontational attitude and the way we were treated. Honestly, we've come to this place multiple times because we love the Lake Oswego location--the food there is always delicious and the service is great. Unfortunately, the Vancouver location has been a completely different experience. The first time we came with a larger group, we waited about 30 minutes just to be acknowledged. Staff kept walking around without even recognizing that we (and others behind us) were waiting. We decided to give it another try, but the second visit was just as disappointing. We ended up leaving because we didn't want to keep waiting with no communication. The third time, I finally spoke up because no one was acknowledging us again. Eventually someone came and seated us, but things didn't improve. We waited a long time at the table, and when the server finally came, many of the items we saw online were no longer available. Instead, there were completely different options. Also, while we were waiting, we spoke with a group of girls behind us who said they had experienced the same issue multiple times and had even left before because of it. So it's clearly not just us. Overall, this has been the worst experience we've had at any of their locations. It's really disappointing because we know how great this place can be. Hopefully, with more people sharing feedback, something will change. The Vancouver location seriously needs to improve its service--I don't see how this level of customer care is acceptable. read more

Bottles are in the $29.00 USD to $94.00 USD range. - Potato wedges with caramelized onion dip ($11.00 USD) - dip tasted oddly like potato salad. Wedges were standard - Cascadia board ($46.00 USD) - gouda, goat cheese, sheep brie, salami, capricoli, speck, olives, sliced pear, nuts and toasted bread. For context, we are wine club members and regularly visit the Happy Valley location, where we consistently have excellent experiences and great customer service. That's exactly why tonight's experience at the Vancouver location was so surprising. When we arrived, the general manager, Susie, told us there would be about an hour wait for a table (we expected this because it is Mother's Day), so my wife and I decided to sit at the bar for drinks since it was empty. After sitting down, we were completely ignored for around 10 minutes. I understand busy nights happen, and I'm usually very patient with restaurant staff, but not even a simple acknowledgment from anyone behind the bar felt unprofessional. What really stood out was when Susie seated another group right next to us, immediately gave them menus and complimentary wine pours, and walked right past us without saying anything. Only afterward did she come back and ask if we were waiting for a table. We told her we were happy just having drinks at the bar. Things only got more awkward from there. My wife asked about getting a Pinot Blanc that she normally orders at the Happy Valley location. Susie simply responded, "We don't have that," and walked away without offering any alternatives or recommendations. We then noticed a white Pinot Noir on the menu and asked if that was somewhat similar. Susie abruptly replied, "No, they're completely different," while walking away again and barely making eye contact. At that point, it no longer felt like we were welcome customers, it felt like we were inconveniencing her simply by being there. We ultimately decided to leave, which is something I've honestly never done before because of customer service at a restaurant or winery. The entire interaction lacked warmth, professionalism, and even basic hospitality. Again, this review is especially disappointing for me to write because we genuinely love Willamette Valley Vineyards and have had nothing but positive experiences at the Happy Valley location. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, because tonight's experience at the Vancouver location was completely opposite of the hospitality we've come to expect from the brand. read more

First off, I am a shares owner in WVV and I have stopped in to pickup wine or to do a wine tasting in the past. My experiences have been excellent, so I think or hope this was a blip on the radar. We had to wait at the entrance for about 10 mins. It was a Sat (4/20/25) so it might have been busier than usual. We asked to be seated outside but it was full for our party of 5. It took a while to be served. Our wait staff was not attentive at all and we were served a "new" wine that quite frankly smelled like a very old house (the smell was not good at all, but the wine was okay). I was very surprised. Why did the wine smell moldy? I felt like...why did I invest in this? Our guests felt it was very pretentious and were not impressed at all. I was embarrassed. Another family member is a wine club member and has stayed at the vineyard lodging and had high praise for the experience. I hope that is the case as I plan to visit this summer. I will not be visiting the Vancouver tasting room in the foreseeable future. My previous experiences is the ambiance at this location is nice, clean and the outdoor patio dining area is fun and relaxing. It's a nice view of the river. I dined here a while ago, but realized I totally forgot to write this phenomenal location a review! Located on the Vancouver waterfront, the location has a beautiful view of the river as you dine and both indoor and outdoor seating. Our waiter was an absolute delight and service was prompt the whole evening. We ordered a number of dishes including the zucchini threads with pacific white shrimp, grilled halibut, and foraged mushroom bisque with bread. Everything was so delicious. We also had a flight of white wine pairings--which they don't officially have on the menu but it seemed perfect for the day. All of their wines are amazing, by the way. I've been to the Happy Valley location and while that one was also amazing, I think the view here is unbeatable. Food (as always) was beautifully prepared, well-thought out, and the perfect portion. And, I have to recommend the foraged mushroom bisque (which I believe may be a staple item on their menu) as its so creamy, rich, and captures the mushroom aroma so well. The caramelized banana cheese cake was also unique and just as amazing. Definitely my favorite restaurant on the Vancouver waterfront, and I highly recommend. read more

Visited with the intention of becoming members. It wasn't busy and we waited and waited. The person at the podium finally greeted us after finishing the paper work they were doing. There were 4 of us. Three ladies and a toddler. Waiter said he had to get a table ready for us and left. The next person stepped up when more people entered and were seated immediately. This person said they'd be right back, seated the people then chose to turn his back on us and use his phone. We waited and waited then chose to leave. When asked why they didn't get us a table and seat others before us, there was total indifference. Was it the child? Dietrich was our server. He was a lot of fun and very professional. The food was a home run. The issues we experienced on our first visit had been ironed out. Two of us had the salmon that was cooked to perfection. My husband had the stuffed roasted chicken served with gnocchi. It was delicious. Our other friend had the pasta dish with chicken. He loved it. My husband and I had iced cream and our friends had the chocolate cheesecake. They said it was the best they have ever tasted. The wine was on point.
