Recently came here for my mom's 80th bday. Anne Marie was able to handle our group of 10 with ease. She was super knowledge with the menu and cocktails as well. Everyone raved about the meal including shared apps we had for the table. Some of the highlights were the hush puppies, pretzel with cheese fondue, Brussel sprouts and toast with preserves and cheese. The salmon I ordered was perfectly cooked and the old fashioned with local bourbon was a great compliment. They brought out some ricotta donuts for the bday girl and I also had a slice of key lime pie (which was probably the best I've had). Thanks so much for making this birthday dinner a truly memorable one!!

We get the hype! Cozy restaurant, with a warm, intimate vibe. We were seated in a booth (by a window) so we could gaze outside. Amy and Tana were our servers and they were delightful! We shared the pretzel fondue appetizer - worth ordering! Mr. Wonderful ordered the fried chicken, coleslaw and mashed potatoes. I had the cheeseburger with housemade chips, chips are *not to be missed! For dessert we had the ricotta donuts, which are a ridiculously good indulgence!

First off, I love the downtown location. There were lots of parking options nearby. Coming inside, the team was super friendly. The table in front of the fireplace was clearing up and we asked if we could get that one. They cleaned it off really fast and got us seated. I ordered an old fashioned and it was smooth! Very tasty. I got the happy hour burger and a plate of fries. The burger was cooked well and has a great seasoning. The toppings were nice and fresh. The French fries were fantastic, a perfect golden brown and were complimented by the aioli. Overall a great experience! Great service, great food, great location!

I'm surprised I haven't gotten a review in for Amaro's yet... my bad! This review is at least 3-years overdue! Amaro's is tucked away at 12th and Main in downtown Vancouver. We discovered it on a cold rainy night in 2022 and loved it from our first visit. We haven't often sat in the actual restaurant... we're usually found perched up in the bar. The bartenders are all very friendly and service is on-point. They make a mean martini. Their food is excellent, never had something I didn't like. I particularly the chicken sandwich and marsala. Both are solid options. Their house salad + a side of ranch slaps! They offer a reverse happy hour starting at 9pm, which we admittedly take advantage of quite often. This is one of the most consistent restaurants in all of Vancouver and comes highly recommended from us!

Me and 2 friends came at about 7pm on Sunday for a cocktail, we walked in and immediately were greeted but the host said "can I help you?" Rather than "welcome, how many in your party" blah blah, which I thought was odd. Nonetheless we were seated at the bar, male bartender was attentive, and make excellent drinks! We will be back for food another day, but the drinks were good, the vibe was good, very relaxing and cozy feeling!

Another great experience here at their downtown location. Super cool decor and upscale vibe inside. Staff is super friendly, helpful and accommodating. Love how light and bright everything is inside. So many windows! A group of 10 of us stopped in for drinks after having dinner nearby. We asked to sit in the bar and luckily they had an open table available to accommodate all of us. This downtown location is much smaller than the one in Hazel Dell. It was a Saturday night around 7:30, so we were grateful they had room for us. We ordered a variety of their signature cocktails, including a couple non alcoholic ones for the drivers. All cocktails were delicious and had lovely presentations. My only gripe was someone (the bartender?) was messing with the chandelier lights while we were there and it made it odd when trying to have a conversation. I'm not completely sure what was going on. We really enjoyed our time here while catching up with friends. We'll definitely add this place to our monthly get together rotation!

Service was fantastic. Seated right away for dinner and staff was attentive. I got the new mezcal drink and it was very yummy. We also got the Brussel sprouts appetizer, tortilla soup, beat salad and ribs. The Mac n cheese (came was ribs) was great. The salad was very good was well! Great ambiance for dinner with my mom. We'll be back!

Service: 10/10 Environment: 9/10 Cleanliness: 10/10 Food: 8/10 (See below) First time here: No Sixth to seventh time here...3rd in the last year or so. Bill before tip: $108 In looking back at my last review it seems I had almost the same meal as before (which I did not intend) & many of my observations there are still relevant, so I will only update here. I went with an appetizer which I rarely do alone as in almost never. The fritters were a fantastic melt in your mouth with a crispy outer texture delight & the honey butter was just sweet enough, but you want to make sure you have a nice amount on each bite. This time at the suggestion of my server, I upgraded to the prawns for a surf & turf which turned out to be a fantastic upsell as the prawns were the star of the show. I went with the seasoned over the blackened as I figured with a prepared steak lacking any real seasoning additions would be more of a grilled meaty taste & I wanted something to compliment. The prawns delivered, hands down. However, either through intention or ignorance someone or multiples there of have messed with the establishment's soda system. The Coke was flatter than 2 day old prosecco & lacked syrup. When I informed the server it was flat & maybe they should check their carbonation, they replaced it stating they believed the bag had just changed...however there wasn't a single carbonation bubble in either glass. I know people say 'I don't drink alone.' and I am one of those. This in fact may be the second time in my life I have & it is because they do serve one of my favorite wines, a riesling, which is a Sun Garden. If you like a sweet wine, then I would suggest this. They removed the dessert I had last time, which I think was a good move. When I originally sat down & considered the course of my meal I landed on either the creme brûlée or brownie with ice cream. When it came time for dessert, we discussed the various options and there were one or two which were not on the menu & this threw me. Not in a bad way, however I lost focus & forgot the creme brûlée was an option. I would have gone with the creme brûlée, but I was going from memory & since the server didn't mention it...oh well. I'm not blaming them, I simply went with the brownie & should not have. I didn't notice or remember it was a gluten free option which when it comes to baked goods mostly comprised of a gluten substance in historical recipes there is a huge difference in mouth feel & taste. The brownies are more of a fudge consistency & lack in chocolate flavor. Keep in mind I have a sweet tooth, which is one reason I like the Sun Garden mentioned above, and I barely made it through the first brownie. I resorted to the ice cream & the raspberry sauce. My suggestion would be to focus a bit more on the prawns & string beans first & then the steak & potatoes. The prawns & string beans are smaller in mass, so they will not retain their temperature as long; plus if you are going to take something home..steak & potatoes will reheat much better than leftover seafood. I hope you found this helpful & you can walk out of here for much cheaper than I did since I had a soda, glass of wine & a 3 course meal.

We stopped here on are way home from Seattle. We were retired hungry and still had a few hours to drive. We ordered the herb chicken sandwich and shrimp linguine. The shrimp in the linguine were nice sized perfectly cooked. My sandwich came with french fries, which I have not had in a long time. They made a fresh pot of coffee for my husband. I think he drank the entire pot before we left. He said it was excellent coffee. Our waitress was very professional, attentive and overall a joy to have wait on us. Most servers are not up to par these days. They even brought us a free plate of homemade ricotta donuts, which were excellent. I would love to come back and try some of their elixir cocktails very unusual intriguing looking.

I have been wanting to come here for some time and thankful my hubby and I made it as was not disappointed at all. They have parking in the same complex as a heads up! I sat at the bar while they prepped the outside table. The bartender was friendly and made the perfect whiskey lullaby. My dad got me hooked on Sazeracs and this was very similar and just as delicious. All the staff were wonderful and continued to check in on us. One of the longer time staff said hello and shared that Cecilia and Gustav's was under the same group, which I've been a long time patron of Gustav's and Cecilia just went to twice in a month and celebrated my birthday with friends. All have a different vibe and I am fond of all :) We ordered the ricotta and fig starter and had the citrus glazed salmon with potatoes and Brussels sprouts. The dips that came with were mouth watering. I'm typically not a fan of potatoes but I ate a good portion of them and polished off at home the following day. The Blueberry tres leches melts in your mouth! Amaro's cocktail and spirits will be bringing me back for sure...Needless to say I'm a big fan and will be bringing friends to Amaro's!

Gluten-Free Review: So, my mom and I decided to hit up Amaro's Table after surviving a particularly stressful appointment, because nothing says "we survived" like lunch, right? I heard whispers of gluten-free options so in we went around noon, fully prepared to contend with the midweek lunch frenzy. We ended up at the bar area, wondering if we were about to witness a dramatic showdown between hungry patrons and their tummies. But fear not! We ordered the chicken herb sandwich on a gluten-free bun. And holy gluten-free goodness, it was yum! Normally, when you get a chicken sandwich, sometimes the chicken doesn't have much flavor, but this had such a delicious herb flavor but I was surprised at how good it was. Oh, and the fries were pretty good as well. The location is being worked on right now across the way but I still live it. Rest assured, I will be returning for more adventures in gluten free dining! Who knew stress could lead to such delightful culinary discoveries

Thinking of booking for new years eve, but one person in the party is Sober. Do you have or can you make some of your cocktails Non-Alcoholic? No NA options are listed on your cocktail menu.

I don't work here but I know their bartenders will happily make up a mocktail for you.

    Are there any vegan options?

Yes, they can modify menu items for you. Don't recall specific vegan menu items, but certainly salads and lots of vegetable side options. Check out their menu online.

If I invite a friend who is gluten free are there menu items available?

Yes there are gluten free items available.

Does anyone know if they are serving for dine-in eating now?? I am driving down from Seattle for the day and wanted to meet a friend from Portland, so hoping I can find a place that's serving. Any other recommendations would be super too! Thx!!

Just ate there several nights ago. Full menu; COVID safety is in place...so you may want to call for a reservation due to the spacing requirements. All restaurants on the water front are now serving dine-in as well. You shouldn't have any problems…

Why the do you come up when I search SUSHI?!?!? You DO NOT SERVE SUSHI.

They do have sushi. It's actually very good! I've had it.

Is the happy hour in the bar only?

No it's all over the restaurant

It was relatively quiet for a Thursday at noon, but the area is undergoing major street improvements which is likely to affect crowds. It was open seating and we had plenty of choices to choose from. Service was prompt and guardedly friendly. I ordered the nachos because, when faced with a choice that includes nachos, I always choose nachos. They were on the cold side. As I got deeper into the nachos, I encountered a grey, slimy mush which I scraped off and ate around. We didn't have the menus any longer and I couldn't recall if it had beans or meat. I didn't mention it to our server because I wasn't able to look at the menu until I got home. I realize now that was supposed to be the guacamole. I'm all for reducing food waste and I know avocados are expensive, but this was not the nacho dish I thought I was paying for and not something I would want to eat again. We split our bill in half and noticed that there was an additional credit card surcharge on each of our slips. It was not called out to us when the we paid and neither of us could recall seeing that charge specified on the menu, but we didn't look that closely. Considering the other positive reviews, it's possible we hit an off day, but given our experience it's not likely I will return.

I have 2 friends that have been reluctant on this place from previous "not good" experiences, and they came with me and it made me sad!! Anyway, our server was so blah (Katelyn H), our water glasses had lipstick marks, I asked her for new ones, she seemed to have forgotten or something so I asked the bartender (which is so sweet!) then our server heard me and grabbed glasses and handed them to me. She didn't check if they were clean, and they weren't, friends were too thirsty to wait and wiped off the lip marks with their napkin. She didn't even bother to ask if the glasses were clean, and also never asked us if we needed anymore drinks (we ordered cocktails). When food arrived, I had to walk up to her to ask for small plates, as she just walked away after delivery. The calzones were burnt on the bottom, and the marinara was 100000% canned tomato paste and was cold. Work on that marinara. Ambiance was as it always is, super chill and welcoming. She was the only server but she could have led with that and made it a comfortable setting. (Towards the end I saw the bartender delivering plates and drinks).

We were seated within just a couple of minutes, which made for a great first impression. One thing I noticed right away was that the dining room seemed to be operating with a limited staff. I only saw two servers working, so it took a little while before someone came to greet us, bring water, and take our drink order. Throughout the meal, we also had to flag down our server a few times for water refills. Despite that, once we placed our food order, everything came out fairly quickly. Our table ordered a variety of dishes, including fish and chips, sushi, steak, salads, and dessert, so we were able to sample several different menu items. Overall, everyone enjoyed their meals. My fish was a little dry, and the fries were thinner than I prefer and had cooled off by the time they reached the table. I also noticed the tartar sauce was different from what I'm used to--it tasted more like ranch dressing with a hint of horseradish. They also didn't offer cocktail sauce, which is something I personally enjoy with fish and chips. Those are personal preferences, but they're worth mentioning for anyone considering that dish. On the positive side, the sushi, steak, and salads received good reviews from everyone at the table, and the desserts were an excellent way to finish the meal. The restaurant itself had a pleasant atmosphere, and despite the limited staff, everyone was friendly and doing their best to keep up with the dinner rush. Overall, we had a good experience. While there were a few things that could have been better, nothing was bad enough to ruin the evening. If I find myself back in the area, I would probably try another restaurant simply because there are so many options nearby. However, if I did return here, I would likely order something different from the menu. Based on what the rest of my family enjoyed, I think some of the other dishes may be a better choice.
