They are an insurance exchange for both health and auto coverage so they can research your rates among several different companies to find you the cheapest. My only complaint is sometimes the customer service times can be a little rocky and time consuming; the end result is saving money just requires a little patience and your time. He now insures 5 homes and 2 cars for me. Over the years I've filed multiple auto claims and been very happy with the customer service and coverage I have received. While many of my friends/co-workers often complain about their insurance companies nickel/diming them or trying to weasel out of paying claims I've often gotten better coverage than I anticipated. One specific example: I recently contacted Dwayne after my dishwasher sprung an impressive leak and did extensive damage to my hardwood floors. He sent a contractor out to evaluate whether it would beneficial fro me to file a claim (aka damage exceeding my deductible) and when it was determined that it was the adjuster was fast, professional, and his coverage total was 25% higher than the repair bid I received. It feels a little weird saying this about an insurance company, but I've never seen a company live up to the "family" name quite as well as American Family.
