I thought I had found my salon. I love the location. It has been a while since Bubba cut my hair and I still can not figure out what he had against me. I was getting my very long hair cut. He did not listen to how I wanted it cut or the style I wanted. He was rude and acted huffy. He is quite a bit younger than me but we grew up in the same neighborhoods and went to rival high schools. The other hairstylist were very nice. I am still at a loss as to what I did to make him dislike me so much. At least that was how he made me feel. read more

A friend recommended Bubba to me. The first time I came, he gave me one of the best haircuts in my life! I loved it! I told all of my friends about him and showed it off on Facebook. So when I was due for a haircut, of course I came back. I had the photo from the first haircut to remind him and plenty of hair length for him to work with. But he cut my hair MUCH shorter than he had the first time (about 2 1/2") and it was a different style completely. Even my bangs were cut too short. I spent the night in tears and am dreading going out with this haircut. I know it will grow, but I am terribly disappointed. If a person isn't consistent, and doesn't deliver the same care over repeated visits, then you can't trust them. I wish this hadn't happened I am broken hearted going into the holidays with this haircut. Please be warned. read more

What a gorgeous place! Former Blvd Salon owners have opened up a new spot in Hapeville on Virginia Avenue behind the Which Wich sandwich shop. I recommend it all the way. Rodney Williams and his partner Stephen Joe worked tirelessly on construction and design of the salon and it is fierce! You'll find beautiful luminous tile, blond wood, great lighting, concrete floors and high ceilings with some local art on the walls. You'll feel like you walked into the lobby of a luxury hotel. Rodney is a phenomenal stylist and takes the time to explain every process and every step. He's extremely welcoming and accommodating and just a joy to chat with. In the "tri cities" area of College Park/Hapeville/East Point, there are few places to get a quality dudes' haircut. Very few. Maybe one. A friend recommended William Craig Salon when she saw that I was, as many men do--holding out as long as I could possibly go (the point where you start asking coworkers, and people on the street, "do I need a haircut?", and friends and strangers alike all quickly say "yes"). Rodney, Eddie, and Kaitlyn are nice folks and will take care of you, all for $25--reasonable for a non Great Clips type dudes' haircut. And it's nice inside (I'd call it luxurious for Hapeville, but...Hapeville). read more

I am generally not a fan of strangers touching me, much less cutting me... even if it's just my hair, but I loved my experience at William Craig. Bobbi Jo washed and cut my hair, and she was so easy to talk to, friendly, and professional. I asked for a trim and some bangs, and Bobbie Jo got me totally psyched up for my new look! A women's haircut is $45, which is on the high side of my payscale for a haircut, but she did a great job. I could have done with a little less product in my hair (the next day I could stand my bangs up like a rooster, which was kind of fun, but...), but I know that salons do like to demo their products on you so you'll be more likely to buy them. I get it. The design and decoration of the building is modern, sleek, and relaxing. Exactly what you want to be immersed in while someone is very near your head with a sharp object. Seriously, though, I usually get really anxious during a haircut, but this time was different. They even offered me a glass of wine when I walked in the door. Had a wonderful first experience here today! I have been looking for a new salon since my long time hairdresser retired. I live in Forest Park, so I wanted to find a place close by. I was blown away by how friendly Bubba was! I felt like I had been a customer for years. He did a great job with my simple hairstyle and didn't try to make me change anything. I have never left a review on anything before but I think it's necessary in this case because I wish I would've seen one before coming here. I had Bubba and he was funny and kind but he didn't do a good job at all :( I asked him to match the rest of my hair with the color of my roots (dark blond) and he straight up died my hair brown, but left the roots dark blond. It doesnt look horrible but it's not at all what I asked/paid for. He was also 30 minutes behind schedule. My sister also came in years ago and got the worst haircut ever from here - they cut way too much and gave her an awkward bob. She said if she had known William Craig was the place I was going, she would have warned me. Nice people, nice atmosphere, but it felt like I asked for the simplest thing in the world and I got something not cute. I'm a broke college kid so the money I've spent and will spend on fixing it is a bummer. Unless you're a regular, you probably shouldn't step foot in this salon. read more

Had a 2:00 appointment and arrived early. I came for my stepmom to get a haircut before moving her from an assisted living in Union City to Utah. The stylist was there, but outside smoking. He finally came in about 2:10. It was the fastest haircut on record. Barely did anything. He was nice enough, just wasn't impressed with the cut. read more

NO STARS! I was not impressed with this salon at all. I went in to get my haircut for an important celebration for my company and they completely butchered my hair. It was a Supercuts haircut all the way through. All he did was use the clippers. I told the stylist that I wasn't comfortable with this but he assured me it would look great. I had to take my glasses off for the cut and kept asking for them but was continuously told "one second and I'll get them for you". When I got home I had to call my stylist and have her fix the mess they made, and the only way to fix it was to do a buzz cut so that it could grow back right. I would not recommend this salon at all!! read more

I got a great haircut here! Not only did they give me a great haircut, they absolutely saved the day for my husband. He got the worst hair cut you can imagine from a quick place north of Atlanta. It was so bad that people seriously asked him if he was going to sue someone over it. I mean, it was bad, bad, bad. I showed the picture to my stylist during my cut and she said she could help him. They fit him in the next morning and he and I were so impressed with what they were able to do. Everyone is friendly and very professional and talented. It's just an overall great experience. I absolutely love this salon and have been seeing Rodney for 5 years. He does excellent color and cut (and I have long, thick hair) and he is so professional and kind. They do downtown hair like all the high priced salons, for a reasonable price.I've gotten everything from all over color, to highlights, to ombre, and Rodney and Steven did my wedding hairdo for my June 2014 wedding. Not only did they open the salon to fit my schedule on the weekend, they kept me calm, and relaxed, had makeup in case I forgot anything, and provided me with the perfect wedding style. So I don't yelp as often as I should, but this place had me sprinting home so that I could write a review and hope that this would show how EXTREMELY happy I am with their work. I had the pleasure of having Kaitlyn do my hair today. I have curly hair, and I mean tight curl, Latin, dry hair (Yet I still love my curls!). After a disastrous highlight experience (let's just say I lost some hair) I wouldn't let anybody come near it with products for a REALLY, really long time. It sucked because one thing that I won't do myself is coloring and I really wanted highlights (and most of all I wanted to keep my hair this time). Well today all those fears have disappeared and I am writing this while I check myself out in the mirror because my highlights (light, GOLDEN brown) are just PERFECTION. I told Kaitlyn what I wanted, but I never expected her to have the sensibility she had. She listened and gave me the hair color that I always picture myself having in my dreams. I'm very particular and meticulous especially when it comes to getting my hair cut. Just finished getting my hair cut! Experience was awesome! Rodney understood exactly what I was looking for. I brought over a few men's hairstyle magazines from Japan, he took the time to look over them and discussed what style and texture I was trying to achieve based on the pictures.
