On January 22, 2016 I found myself in the scariest situation I have ever been in personally. An injury occurred at work that landed me in the Emergency Room in a panic. I was seen by an on call doctor who suggested I wait for Dr. Sasson to evaluate my injury. I was hit on my face while working and a swelling began that was considerable and painful. The second Dr. Sasson saw me he made me feel safe and secure. I have never had an injury like this and with both my parents deceased I was very upset and overwhelmed. He pulled me aside into a side room and worked on a procedure to reduce my swelling. He provided me with strict instructions as I left the hospital. I quickly searched Dr. Sasson's education background and reviews online and like my experience there was nothing undesirable to say. Unfortunately, my injury enlarged again overnight and I went back to the Emergency room in the morning. I was scared to death with the thought of surgery and asked my nurse to please call my Plastic Surgeon. Dr. Sasson was called in through a blizzard and sat next to me and explained what he was going to do and that I would not feel a thing. His bedside manners were more than I could have ever asked for as well as his prompt reaction to my situation. I never felt rushed into anything and really learned about what was going on before any steps were taken. Follow up visits at his office have also been wonderful. He truly cares about every patient and their needs. He is cautious and concerned with my feelings and shares his opinions up front. His staff is delightful and well organized, you never feel rushed or forgotten about through an appointment. Without any hesitation I will say Dr. Sasson is one of the greatest and most compassionate doctors out there. There are only positive things to say about this superior Plastic Surgeon, you should be honored to have him on your team at Winthrop Hospital. He then told me to go to the financing and pricing office to get a quote to get a lift, which I thought was very obnoxious, being that I had just got done with surgery. The financing representative there quoted me 10K!!! obscene. I think he did a poor job on my breast augmentation and I paid a hefty price not to be happy. Almost 3 years later I got them redone correctly, and now I am finally happy. Dr. Devita, never in his consultation with me said that I needed a lift but I was advised by the new Dr. that corrected his mistakes, that I did in fact need a lift. Money down the drain. Dr. Kwak was a brilliant, well-trained, and skilled doctor who immediately addressed my skin condition. He gave me thorough explanations of my condition and future steps of care in order to prevent any further complications. I would definitely return to Dr. Kwak and his staff if I ever need a dermatology consultation/treatment with no hesitation.

I have to admit that my expectations were low, but I was blown away by Dr. Cipollone. She was absolutely incredible. She was kind, respectful, and thoughtful. She apologized for my wait time, but then patiently talked me through everything, answered all of our questions (my cousin was there with me and helped me navigate the situation). She ended up putting 20+ stitches in my mouth and lip, and I was sure that I'd end up with a terrible scar (as I tend to get keloid scars). It is now months later and my mouth healed perfectly with no visible evidence of my injury. I am so grateful that a scary incident ended in such a positive way. Thank you, Dr. Cipollone!

We were seen on time and I can't say enough good things about our visit. Dr Hoschander was very pleasant, thorough in his explanations, and gave my son reasonable expectations of what to expect. He took his time answering questions and gave his honest opinions. It was very refreshing to have a doctor and his staff take time to understand the patient and not just try to close the deal. While my son still needs to makes his decision on whether or not to proceed I can confidently say that should he decide to have the surgery, I am sure he will be in great hands with Dr Hoschander.

I've seen Dr. Dreschnack a few times about my wrist pain and also recently underwent surgery by him. During my office visits Dr. Dreschnack takes his time answering all of my questions. He has a soft-spoken demeanor which is very soothing. Most doctors are condescending and/or intimidating. Dr. Dreschnack is none of those things. It's the little things a doctor does that make a world of difference. Like when he has to inject my wrist he makes sure to first inject me with lidocaine to minimize pain. I've had my wrist injected elsewhere and the injections were so painful without first waiting for the lidocaine to take effect. As for my recent surgery with Dr. Dreschnack he took the time to explain the entire process and explain exactly what to expect. On the day of my surgery he was not feeling 100% himself yet he did not let that affect my surgery in any way. The scars he left behind are very small and he even called me the night of my surgery to make sure I was okay. More so Dr. Dreschnack is also very responsive. He replies promptly to my emails and even gave me his personal number for emergencies. Lastly, Dr. Dreschnack is a true humanitarian, I enjoy the stories of how he travels abroad to correct cleft lips for babies that wouldn't be able to otherwise afford the surgery. I wake up every morning unable to breathe through my nose. I sleep poorly. I get migraines. My quality of life has been diminished in ways I could never have imagined when I walked into that office as a young woman who simply wanted a smaller nose. Since my last update, I have continued to receive messages from other patients, many of them young women, who experienced the exact same outcome. This is not an isolated incident. This is a pattern.
