1-Star Review - Very Disappointing Experience…read more Lake Pavilion in West Palm Beach is a beautiful venue, but unfortunately, our experience with Christopher T. Burdick, Community Events Specialist, was extremely disappointing and stressful. Christopher was very disorganized and created a great deal of stress for us at the last minute. There was significant confusion and poor communication regarding documents that had already been submitted electronically to Tracy. We were repeatedly asked for paperwork that had already been provided, which made the entire process unnecessarily complicated. The parking situation on the day of the event was especially frustrating. If the venue is going to be so strict about paperwork and procedures, they should also have a clear and organized system for vendor parking. Parking spaces were not numbered, making it extremely difficult for nearly 20 vendors to know where they were supposed to park. The parking permits that were supposed to identify authorized vehicles were not properly provided or explained to us in advance. Instead, they were handed out on the day of the event without clear numbering or instructions, creating unnecessary chaos and stress. Even more disappointing, our contract stated that vendor setup would begin at 1:00 PM, yet the doors were not opened until approximately 2:00 PM. Nearly 20 vendors were left outside in the rain with all of their equipment and supplies for about an hour, unable to enter and begin setting up. This caused significant delays and affected our event schedule. It is very disappointing that such a beautiful venue can have such poor organization and communication. Instead of making the experience easier for their clients, the process felt unnecessarily stressful because of excessive paperwork requirements, lack of communication, and a lack of practical assistance when problems occurred. The venue itself is beautiful, but unfortunately, the organization and customer service we experienced were not acceptable. I sincerely hope management reviews these procedures and improves communication, vendor access, parking organization, and staff coordination for future events.

Our group was welcomed with attentive, friendly service from start to finish. The standout dishes for me were the crispy Brussels sprouts and the colossal shrimp cocktail--the shrimp were enormous and so fresh! I also loved my salad. I sampled the pepperoni and spinach pizzas, but since I'm not a big pizza person, they just weren't my favorites. Thankfully, there were plenty of other delicious options. There were burgers and fries to try as well as shrimp potstickers- the potstickers ranked high for me! The atmosphere is what really makes this place special. Sitting outside overlooking the golf course is peaceful and beautiful, and there's plenty of parking, which is always a plus. Running into a friend there was the icing on the cake! They also had I e cream and a large cookie dessert which others liked. A glass of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc was the perfect way to end a wonderful evening. Great food, great service, great setting--I can't wait to come back!

I got Conch fritters as app , 8/10. Loved the remoulade sauce!! For my main i did a cobb salad, good size, not too happy about chicken amount but still good. Sauce felt store bought, bacon was crispy, avocado was delicous. 8.7/10 I was skeptical because i've never had i think? IT WAS AMAZING! 10/10 Hugo spritz was good! However, I didn't understand when we got there We asked for a bottle of water, The server did say that they didn't have bottled water on that side of the club, however, as I showed in one picture, there are two bottled waters for a server to take? So idk if table service gets it but not bar? I do have to highlight that the staff didn't look content? Like nobody had a smile or anything?

If you are not a member and found this venue advertised on The Knot, proceed with caution…read more When researching, it should have been a red flag that there are very few recent wedding reviews since 2023, many 5-star ratings without explanations, and one consistent negative comment stating the venue is beautiful but the event coordinator, Pat Saylor, is poor at communication. Unfortunately, that review proved accurate. Pat is the only event coordinator for the clubhouse. She frequently reassures you that she is on top of things, but emails and calls often go unanswered and responses are delayed until multiple follow-ups are made. Communication is inconsistent at best. If you speak with Gwyn, the COO, you may receive answers that differ from what Pat previously told you. When these discrepancies are pointed out, you are redirected back to Pat for clarification. Non-members should also be aware that placing a date "on hold" offers little security. Despite being told we had the right of refusal if another party was interested, our held date was ultimately given to a club member without alternative dates being offered. Overall, non-members do not appear to be a priority. This venue may be beautiful, but the lack of communication and organization can be a significant issue. I hope this review helps other non-members avoid wasting time and instead choose a venue that values their business.

One of my favorite spots was the pool bar on the 8th floor. I loved the canopy over the bar. It was absolutely beautiful. I spend most of my time there. The pool was not to big but long. It had a nice view. I was happily surprised with the room they prepared for the soccer tournament with the multiple TVs playing the different games and the table games. That was a nice touch. From the moment of arrival to departure, we were treated very well. The Ben is breathtakingly decorated with greenery and art design to mimic the appearance and beauty of what Palm Beach represents. At check in, Angelina provided us with complimentary spring water in beautifully designed water boxes and our wristband room keys. The complimentary Paloma Angelina presented was sinfully delicious. What a great way to start our stay. Our waterfront rooms faced the Palm Harbor Marina with views overlooking the harbor, Codes (stainless steel and glass sculptures), and a view of Palm Beach Island and the Intracoastal Waterway. In room amenities included thick plush towels, soft robes and slippers. Closets also included a safe, full size ironing board, iron, and a steamer. Two large umbrellas hung in the closet in case of rainy weather. The bar and refrigerator were stocked with alcohol, snacks, and more water. The beds are comfortable and featured sheets stitched with The Ben's name and logo. Hotel amenities included a rooftop pool, glass elevator, gym, and room service. Complimentary bikes and shuttle services are available. Bruno, a Circuit vehicle, provides rides exclusively for The Ben guests anywhere within a 2 mile radius of the hotel. There is also a Book Butler that can bring you a curated and rotated book delivered on a silver platter! Tatianna, at the Front Desk, answered questions and provided good breakfast recommendations. Kevin, Bell Services, was also helpful. He made sure I had all the information on how to schedule a ride with Bruno and that we had water boxes for our trip and activities we had planned for the day. Kevin also provided good recommendations for places to visit and things to do. I would not hesitate staying at the Ben next time I am in the West Palm Beach. I am so happy we "found" this hotel! Ben Trovato!
