What is awesome is that they also have a complementary shuttle, which is so helpful in the area since parking is a little bit difficult and walking is not always the best option. The range of the shuttle is also pretty far, including dropping you off at the beach for some relaxation. What really stood out to me was the hospitality and Customer Service. I have a couple of names to call out. The Bellman, KEVIN was amazing at recommendations. He spoke to us with a tone of authenticity as if we were genuine friends. He provided a list of suggested restaurants based on our interests and always offered us refreshments. Likewise at the front desk, we spoke with Jacob & Velouse who were able to accommodate us with a room with a great view. They were very helpful. And one more callout is the driver of the complementary shuttle, who was also very friendly and even helped us out when we left a shoe at our last location and did a U-turn for us The pool has limited seating space. Get there early or be OK with not having a pool chair after a dip.

My friends and I have become somewhat regulars in the Florida comic con scene, so we were intrigued…read moreto hear that OtakuFest would be leaving Miami (due to logistical demands of the FIFA World Cup according to their website), to the Palm Beach Convention Center in West Palm Beach. Let's just say, the magic and whimsy that we've come to love about OtakuFest seemed faded this year and I sincerely hope that the organizers return to Miami next year. Their website claims they secured a "50,000 square foot space" with "improved parking" but this seemed to be misleading at best. The vendor and artist alleys were so small that we were able to tour the entire floor in less than 20 minutes... this includes the time it took looking at some of the merch. There was an upstairs where some more vendors were and rooms for panels but it seemed they weren't being used and it also seemed that many vendors that the convention used to have didn't join this year. Now, this is coming across, of course, as more of a review of the convention, and not the convention center. However, the convention center booked another convention just a few feet away and people were confused on where to go. I do feel that a lot of the disappointments about this year's OtakuFest came as a result of the new venue. We spent about 1.5 hours there in total and left feeling a bit disappointed. We didn't even see that many cosplayers which is a hallmark of a good con. I sincerely hope that OtakuFest returns to Miami next year.

They also had rows and rows of tattoo artists working their magic for anyone wanting to get one done. The carnivorous plants. They had a good selection of sizes and prices. I saw some plants I had only seen in books before. I ended up getting some. The plant vendors all very helpful. I was given websites and instructions with each plant. I felt confident. I would not kill these plants this time. The expo had the dark creative art. It was beautifully disturbing. Some of the taxidermy turned into art blew my mind. Some one made a lamp out of a ribs and spine and it actually looked cool looking. Meeting and talking to the artist and vendors here was a fun adventure for me. Everyone was helpful. They didn't seem to mind explaining the art process. This was a good show.

She absolutely ruined my wedding, said we had the venue, tables, chairs, all night until 12am yet she had her servers taking tables apart at 845p DURING the event. Instead of finishing the decor we discussed she found it more important to show other STRANGERS inside my event, even though when I previously came to see the venue I was turned away because there was an event going on. Completely unprofessional. Didn't have ANY cold drinks for my guests when they arrived at 2pm despite us dropping off all the beverages the day before. Yelling at guests, yelling at her own servers and bar tenders because she failed to get them ready for the event. She had no appetizers out during cocktail hour, my mother had to take her to the fridge to show her the appetizers that she BROUGHT TO HER that morning. Gave them to her directly yet she yelled at my mother saying we have no appetizers then didn't even apologize for being wrong. If she was a real woman of church she would have atleast offered some type of refund. Terrible place. Do not be like me and give her the benefit of the doubt, go elsewhere. The venue is beautiful but not worth all the drama lucy starts.

I got a mixture of Pineapple, Vanilla and Banana ". This was around 8:30pm 4/02/2026 and I can still taste that cool, great tasting ice cream. Going down and cooling me off. The band was good too. I love it when she singed " Save A Horse, Ride A Cowboy and Tennessee Whisky ".

I called several times asking for an upgrade if there were a cancellations. However, when we arrived and room choices were still a bit limited, the Colony made a wonderful and significant upgrade for us and we could not be more appreciative. To say above and beyond would be understating. So...what about everything else? From the time you're greeted by the bellmen, to the check-in process, the employees could not be more friendly and accomodating. The bartenders are long time employees, and very nice folks. The servers too are great. Management has done a fantastic job creating a welcoming atmosphere where one feels right at home. The restaurant, Swifty's, is excellent. Breakfast poolside is always nice. Early riser? Coffee and a choice of newspapers are alway waiting for you. Take it outside by the pool and have a quiet morning before starting the day. Looking forward to the next time !
