However, the entire staff was great from the moment I walked in the door until I left. When it actually came time for my tooth extraction, Dr. Trotter's assistant had me put on sunglasses and I said to her, "okay if I close my eyes?" and Dr. Trotter said "that fine, I'll keep mine open." This was also the first time I elected to only have a local anesthetic so I was a little extra nervous, but Dr. Trotter and his entire staff was wonderful. I would highly recommend Dr. Trotter and his staff to anyone needing an oral surgeon.

After being recommended for a crown on one of my teeth, I was not explained anything about the procedure or cost. I was told by the supervisor (Regina) that "I should have asked if I had a question." Problem was, what do I ask? I am not a professional dentist. Furthermore what do I ask. I knew I was suppose to get a gold crown. I normally get a reminder by the front office of the appointment within 24 hours, I did not get this. Nor did I get a heads up on what I had to pay for the procedure minus what the inurance would pay. As I laid on the dentist chair, a dental assistant comes in the room before the procedure and says "your payment for today's service will be $400.00. This would have been nice to know before coming into the office for I did not have that kind of money. They said I could pay half, but still that was a lot of money that I did not expect to spend. Only if there were a through consultaion before this procedure I could have been prepared. Oh, one of Dr. Watts assistant Doctors did not even say a word to me as he examined my mouth and yelled out a bunch of number to the hygenist who just cleaned my teeth. When I got a copy of my records, the dentist had written that I needed SIX fillings. I went to get a second opinion from a different dental office the next day and they couldn't find a single cavity. Spencer Dental also made it extremely difficult to get a copy of my x-rays and patient information. And while some workers were nice, others were very rude. Overall, there were a LOT of red flags. I would not trust any diagnosis from this place.

Yep - it really was that simple. Dr Cabaniss was very pleasant, had great bedside manner, was kind and informative. I didn't feel pushed or rushed into the procedure - he just said it would take him about 5 minutes per tooth and that if I wanted it done under local, he could actually fit me in right there and then. So I went for it. All hands on deck, I had 3 assistants who were very supportive, one was great at explaining things throughout the procedure. Dr C had a no BS approach, 'just get me out of here ASAP' I told him - and he did. I experienced slight discomfort when the numbing injections went in my palate - but who on earth doesn't? He even warned me "this is going to really sting and I'm sorry." Not his fault. The receptionist who welcomed me was absolutely amazing. Fantastic customer service and very forthcoming with explaining how my insurances would cover the procedure. She even contacted my dentist to make sure both dental insurances were on my file; I appreciate the extra steps she went through. Inside was clean, spacious and plenty of room both in the surgery rooms and the waiting area. Overall, a great experience. Somebody tell the tooth fairy I'm still waiting for my money. Thanks.

I was referred to Dr. Cabaniss by my dentist for consultation and extracting 24 teeth as I need…read morefull dentures. My dentist sent him the x-rays and after examining me, he explained that there was two ways to approach this. One take all 24 teeth out then get my immediate dentures, or take a two phase approach, take out the 12 back teeth, let the gums heal, then take out the remaining 12, then get my dentures. What this does is allow the gums to heal that have the biggest cavities and this will allow the dentures to fit better. The cost would be the same. After we discussed and I said maybe the phased approach may be better, he then said let me talk to your dentist, at which time he called her. They talked for a while and he said she agrees this would be the best approach. The front staff was very helpful and provided me with a cost breakdown including what my insurance would pay. I agreed and made the appointment. Because of health reasons he had to use Novocain and gave me 8 shots. He extracted 12 teeth and during the extraction asked several times if I was OK, his dental technician was also concerned and pleasant. After the extractions the dental technician thoroughly explained haw to care for the gums until they heal and form blood clots. Yes no one likes having tooth extraction, in my case required two stitches on two of the extractions but although he was rough a couple of times, that would be expected for larger teeth. He finished as fast as he could and after done he explained any problems, indicated call and he would see me as fast as he could. Although a very unpleasant experience having that many teeth extracted, I was confident in Dr Cabaniss's ability and he had great chair side manners and thoroughly explained everything. I go back in January for the remaining teeth to be extracted, and at least I know what to expect. BTW: I was surprised how little pain I experienced after these extractions, pain med's were prescribed which I only took for two days. I would highly recommend Dr. Cabaniss for your oral surgery.

I'm going to a new dentist and requested a copy of my latest X-rays last week and I still don't have them. His bedside manner is also horrible. I have never been with a doctor that slings the "F" word like it's sparkles on a cupcake! If you need dental services of any kind, be sure to stay away from him and this office. His son is Bryce Quinn and he left the practice right after my first appointment. He was my original dentist and was very good. I should have left when he did. I regret ever letting Scott Quinn touch me.
