I would call the Dr.s office and it would go to voicemail and I would never hear back. I called quite a few times. I figured they closed or moved. I felt very betrayed at the time. I had to see someone else and then they moved. I recently went on Yelp to find a new doctor and saw that Dr. Chikkala was still at the same place!?? WT? I left another message, again, no response! I drove over there today and only the nurse was there. I told her about all this and said she would have someone get back to me. So Dr. Chikkala's husband (who runs the front) Just now called me. He was very rude to me. He said that because it had been almost 2 years that she was no longer my doctor, (well of course she wasn't). I wanted to go back to see her. He wanted to go round and round about when he "said" he called me back a long time ago and it was ME that never responded. LOL really? I DID call, MANY MANY Times! No one ever got back to me. Very irresponsible for a doctor's office. So, I said I would like to get in to see her. Then he tells me that I have to find another doctor because she won't have any information from the last 2 years?? Well, they can get that information from the last group I was at. He proceeded to then just make up stuff and it got ridiculous. He made no sense, I realized he was just being an ass. I really do not wish to deal with people like that so I will find a new, better, more communicative, and responsive doctor's office.

On top of the stress and uncertainty, this error cost us real money. Because of the delays and time pressure, I had to pay over $900 out of pocket for additional rounds of vaccinations at the same clinic just to stay on track. This situation could have been avoided with proper attention to detail. For a service that directly impacts legal status and timelines, I expected a much higher level of care and accuracy. But almost 3 weeks for ONE response!?? Freaking ridiculous. The person who I've been messaging is "MA Tierra A". Awful. Slow. And selectively picks what to respond to so you have to ask again for the other answers and it takes weeks and weeks to hear back. I'm in the process of finding a new doctor. The appointment started with a few questions about why he was there, but instead of focusing on his concerns, the doctor spent much of the visit talking about her negative experience at her previous hospital job. She went on at length about how unhappy she was, used several curse words during the conversation, and repeatedly related his headaches to work stress based on her own experiences. We were surprised by the lack of professionalism and felt that the focus was on her personal frustrations rather than my husband's health. Because we paid out of pocket for the visit, we felt stuck and stayed until the appointment was over. At the end, she simply wrote a couple of prescriptions without performing what we believed was a complete physical or thoroughly addressing his concerns. Later, I called the office to ask if they could send in orders for his annual bloodwork. The medical assistant told me he would need to come in for a physical before bloodwork could be ordered. I explained that the appointment he had already attended was scheduled as his physical, but she insisted it was not. She argued with me, said no bloodwork would be ordered otherwise, and wanted to schedule another physical, even though we had already paid for one out of pocket. The conversation became even more frustrating because she was reading information from his chart that did not match what happened during his visit. This raised concerns about both the office's documentation and the communication between the doctor and staff. It honestly felt like they were trying to charge my husband for another visit that should not have been necessary. I asked to speak with a manager and was told someone would call me back. I said I would appreciate a call because I was very unhappy with how everything had been handled. I also mentioned that if the issue wasn't addressed, I would leave a review describing our experience. The medical assistant responded sarcastically, saying, "Yes, please go ahead." Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Dr. Nancy Pachuca or her team at the Pflugerville location. We experienced poor communication, unprofessional behavior, and a lack of patient-centered care. I went to her for an annual checkup, and she noticed a small skin tag on my eyelid. I'd had it forever and just used eyeliner to hid the tiny bump. She noticed and said that it was really simple and inexpensive to remove, and she could give me a referral if I'd like it removed! It was something I wouldn't have even known to ask for, but I was so grateful she pointed it out and offered to refer me to an ophthalmologist. Sure enough, the procedure was so quick and easy, I wish I'd thought to ask about it sooner!

She has a straight-forward no BS sort of bedside manner which I really like in a doctor, but she does not come across as brusque or rude. She gave me a great referral to a surgeon when I needed a tumour removed and I've always found her willing to pause and discuss my options with me. It's immensely convenient that's she's part of the Austin Diagnostic Group because when you do need to see a specialist you can see somebody in the same group and you count as an established patient, and they have access to your info in the ADC computer system. The facility has an "easy care clinic" on the bottom floor where you can be seen without an appointment or make a same day appointment with a nurse practitioner. If you like doctors to make sympathetic tut-tut noises and do a lot of hand holding she might not be the doctor for you. If you like somebody with a no nonsense approach to medicine, Dr Eisen is your girl.

Unfortunately, her front office staff, specifically receptionist has Zero interpersonal skills. She doesn't make eye contact and she doesn't communicate what she's doing so you're left standing there wondering, "WTH is she doing" or "am I just supposed to stand here?" As previously mentioned, I've been coming to Dr. Warfield for years yet all of the sudden, this lady tried to charge me a copay for which I've never before had to pay with my insurance. She's also very depressing when she speaks. For patients who are battling depression and anxiety, it's extremely upsetting! As the face of the clinic, this position requires someone with energy and enthusiasm. It demands someone with optimism and excellent customer service skills- willing and excited to help out patients coming in for help. I can only hope this person receives the proper training needed in customer service or is switched with another staff member more apt for the position.
