Just a couple of months ago I took the office an edible arrangement for being an awesome team and now it turns out I'm a DREAD. I have always spoken to Jamie and Cristina at the front desk and this new lady thinks very highly of herself. I told the doctor if he had ever gotten a complain from anyone else and he said I was rude. I told him it was just the lady with the hair done and long lashes and he said it was "F****d up" IN THOSE words that I was "making fun of someone's appearance " I told him on the contrary- I'm telling him she clearly focuses too much on her appearance than customer service and he walked off. I agreed to never call to schedule anything anymore and asked Jamie to please just call or email. The doctor also told me they are bending over backwards for me, and that they are not charging me. I've paid over 10k in treatment at this office. He claims that my first Invisalign treatment failed because I stopped coming to the visits? Then I'm really confused who did my root canals and multiple crowns and fillings throughout this whole time. As a domestic abuse survivor, getting yelled at by a man is a huge trigger because my body absolutely feels like I'm going to get striked across the face next. I left with my hands shaking and apologized to Jamie and Talicia who is my Invisalign specialist. I was given my next 3 trays and feel so sad the doctor decided to use cursing to express his viewpoint to me this morning while in a chair and the door was closed. Could have definitely handled better but I am just such a dread as a person and a patient.

Once I met with the dental assistant I believe her name was Rosie, she was nice at first and then just very rude afterwards. She made me feel like she was above me in some way. She was rude trying to tell me how to position my face and was just mad cause us couldn't read her mind, she hurt my mouth a few times and was really aggressive in some ways. She talked down to me and was just all around negative but didn't say much when the actual Orthodontist was in the room. Just whenever he left she just kept talking down at me. I wanted to fully trust that I would get the best dental here but sadly, if they can make me feel horrible about myself before treatment how can I trust they would care for me when I'm vulnerable during treatment.. I wanted to continue and be able to get the necessary problems fixed to have a healthy smile I had saved and knew this was what I wanted and knew the approximate cost and was going to pay out of pocket but the dental assistant looked at me like I didn't have a dime to my name and kept asking if I was sure if I wanted to proceed with getting the braces. The molds would be $180 and I said yes even though I wanted to say no but because of how I was treated. She was like "Are you sure??" She also made me feel less than for not having dental insurance and also made comments like "it's a little too late for that!" When I said I'd look into it again. I felt like she only cares for people with perfect smiles and not for those that didn't have money/insurance as a child to get the proper care I needed. I am here now wanted to change that and I was let down. I cancelled my appointment and they did not care whatsoever of the terrible experience I had received. I'm just returning from the deployment (Yay I'm alive) and I wanted to see if Smile Doctors Braces could correct this forced error. I wanted to update my review to reflect my more recent experiences. Initially I thought I found an…read moreawesome dentist, but it was unfortunately too good to be true. A few months ago, I found Dr. Tillman from his reputation with patients. They explained to me that they run insurance estimates prior to, and that all payments would be required in advance or upon service. I had prepaid the amount quoted and then had some needed dental work done on top of that. Prepaid both times, and was told on my last visit that I was square. Turns out that wasn't true and now they claim I owed money from my first xray visit. Why wasn't this brought up on the follow up visit? Or the visit after that for corrections to the initial work? They will essentially balance bill you and say it was an estimate. I also had an appointment scheduled this week (for today), but they didn't have me on the schedule. Dr. Tillman personally called me on Jan 3rd to follow up on the remainder of the treatment plan HE recommended. Someone got confused and didn't add me to the schedule and they have no record of it. Funny how I have the voicemail and phone record for it. Dishonest and disorganized is how I'd summarize it. Dr. Tillman clearly cares for his patients, but something is disorganized and it's not me.
