Williams Barber Shop is one of the better barber shops in Goose Creek. They almost never have a line and they have always done a decent job with my haircuts. Their haircuts are only $9.00 and that is cheap compared to most barber shops that I have been to. They offer a neck shave at the end that is just unbelievable. The guy in the last chair should not be cutting hair anymore. Absolutely avoid that last chair. My fade isn't straight, it's uneven and hardly even faded. The top is lopsided, leaving more hair on the right then left and I had hair behind my ears that wasn't even touched after the fade. I've been going here for years. Usually a good experience. Today I made the mistake of using the barber(?) at the last chair. I told him short to medium all over tapered in the back. I also told him to take a good amount off the top. He did not taper the back and he barely touched the top. But worse than that he took much more hair off the left side than the right. Left me with a lopsided look. I didn't catch it because he sprayed my hair and slicked it down. I think he may have vision issues. If you go there do not use this guy. read more

Asked for a high skin fade and to leave the top alone. Quality of the cut, piss poor at best. The fade is uneven, one side is higher than the other, patches of long hair from where he missed. The fade isn't even faded, I'm also missing roughly 2 1/2 inches of hair off the top. Waste of $20 and 18 months that it took to grow it out. Just moved to town and tried to find a barber shop. Gave this place two chances. First time I got an alright haircut. The fade was pretty crooked but for $10 I'd let it slide. Second time my fade was super high. Not a medium like I asked and the hard part is damn moses parting the seas. It's terrible. Its crooked. They have great barbers as well as not so great ones. I will only see one particular person which can be up to an hour or two wait. They do not do appointments and it's a free for all with no number system. The cut is only $9 and some of them will do a straight razor shave. If you're on the weapons station and looking for a sat navy haircut, DO NOT GO TO THE NEX. COME HERE INSTEAD. They know how to do a navy haircut, and they do it better than the NEX, with less wait, and for the same price. Very efficient and traditional barber shop, and as mentioned in the other review, they use the straight blade razor at the end of the haircut. The biggest problem is that they are not open on sundays (which might be a good thing, too), and they have limited hours on saturdays. read more

My husband literally just came home with the worse haircut EVER right before he has important command check out meetings, how can you people advertise on providing military standard haircuts & let my husband walk out with different looking fades on top of one another?! No only that but his left side does not have as much fade as the right (he's head is two different shades of black hair!) ‍ His sideburns are not even the same length and to make it even worse the person cut it so short, there is no fixing this. Went in this morning for a haircut, looking for my usual barber, Eric. I was told that Eric no longer was an employee there and that no one knew why or where he had went. Very unusual. With Eric missing, I decided to let one of the empty seats take me and her name was Chelsea ? I asked for a fade, with hair to still be left on top. What I got in return was worse than any nightmare could have projected. This girl literally scalped my head, there was about 1 CM of hair left on my entire head, with the exception of the 2 inches she left on the crown of my head. BY FAR THE WORST HAIRCUT I HAVE EVER RECEIVED IN MY LIFE. Not a big fan of cigarette smoke and that is the smell that punched me in the face as soon as I walked in to Williams. They have a plethora of barbers and really cheap prices and give a decent haircut. Being in the location that it is I imagine that they can get rather busy on certain days. I went during lunchtime and only had to wait about 5 minutes before I was in a chair and getting my hair cut. For $9 you cant beat the price but I don't mind spending about $7 more for a better haircut in a smoke free environment. read more

Best bang for the buck barber shop in town, especially if you sport a shorter hair style. They cater mainly to the military crowd, but that means the barbers are efficient, quick, and even give you a straight razor shave around your ears and the back of your neck. Did I mention hot shaving cream and a wet towel afterward? For $9 you can't beat it. I have been going to Williams for years and have never had a bad haircut from anyone. They do a great job in military cuts.

First time here and I was already in a chair as soon as I got in, the service was fast and painless. They don't have noise polluting devices like the NEX so it's quiet and its a barbershop so you get the good kind of shave on your neck. Treated me like they cared and the barber was friendly. Two dollars more expensive than NEX but what's two dollars when you get fast quick clean and good service compared to the NEX? The furniture inside seemed a little outdated and could use some revamp but other than that its a great place and conveniently near the base. read more

New to the area. Was sent here by a friend. Walked in the door and everyone greeted me. Really liked to old school barber feel I could tell they were doing some remodeling but it was still clean and well put together. Sat down with a barber within 5 min was not long at all with the amount of people in the place. Told the girl what I wanted & she did exactly that my fade was flawless & my line up was perfect. All the barbers I seen working were fast & efficient. The hot lather & straight edge line up was the best part! The best barber that my husband went to has left. His name was Eric and he was the only one that knew how to cut hair. My husband has went to other people in there but it would always be a butchered job. Later we found out that the head honcho was griping about certain barbers taking so much time. He stated that they are going for "quantity not quality" type of haircuts. Absolutely horrible customer service experience!!! I have been getting my haircut in New York the same way for many years. I was visiting family down here for a while and stopped by Williams based on the good reviews. The women here are unprofessional, caddy, and rude. They were yelling across the shop gossiping. The one who cut my hair insisted it was impossible to cut it the way I wanted it cut even though I've had it done that way in New York probably 100 times! She was basing her measurements off of her fingers and not a comb Ive never seen anything like it in my life! An absolute nightmare. Don't waste your time here. Not an old fashioned barber shop as some has posted. In those shops, they took their time and cared. This place only cares about how fast they can get you out of the chair and to the next customer (and tip I suppose). That's why there's never a wait. Most people here (not all) are probably not qualified to work anywhere else. Terrible haircuts unless you are military and need a close cut, and then it might be okay.
