We opted for a weekday lunch of discovery menu, where they accommodated me for a vegetarian menu to meet my dietary needs! Bravo! All the seven courses were unique and delicious, and made you full. The drive and location is beautiful. We sat by the window on a snowy day, it was beautiful and romantic. The server introduced himself and was very attentive. The place is good for an intimate conversation or for a group meeting. Has both big round tables as well as cozy seating. Starting from Amuse bushe - which was a dried leaves with some jelly, it was unique and pretty delicious for leaves without any salt or spices, served on the upside down glass. The mushroom was delicious, pretty balanced. My mains had 3 different flavours on roots vegetables with puree of cauliflower, curry spice and carrots. Every bite tasted different. We got a complimentary miniature dessert plate, which was as good as our main dessert! I am going there back for another special celebrations.

The restaurant strikes an ideal balance between fine-dining formality and genuine warmth, helped by live piano music and a calm, elegant room. Food: Dinner began with two appetizers: the Lobster (autumn-spiced lobster, winter squash, Armagnac velouté) and the Ricotta Gnudi with winter truffle. Both were beautifully prepared and set a strong tone for the evening. Between courses, we were served a white truffle risotto, which became one of the standout dishes of the trip -- aromatic, silky, and rich without being heavy. For mains, we ordered the black cod and the venison, each cooked with precision and very well balanced. The meal ended with a maple-forward dessert that fit the season and the setting perfectly. Vibe: The dining room feels intimate and refined without being stiff. The combination of soft piano, candlelight, and the heritage property setting creates a memorable atmosphere. Service: Service was excellent across the board. Staff were knowledgeable, attentive, and thoughtful, and this extended beyond the restaurant -- every person we interacted with on the property carried the same sense of care and professionalism. Overall: Langdon Hall offers one of the best fine-dining experiences in Ontario. The quality of the food, the warmth of the service, and the overall atmosphere make it well worth the trip, whether for a special occasion or simply to enjoy a destination meal.

I have an indifferent opinion to Peter M.'s review, this is a very independent hole in the wall…read morediner, offering one lady servicing all the tables in the restaurant. (Peter M you're a great person- I just don't agree with you =) ) To be very frank many breakfast places are overrun by chain restaurants and Toasters is one of the few locations that are non-franchised with pretty affordable options. For $6 you can get two eggs, toast (rye, brown or white with jam and butter) and homemade hash. Add $1.50 and you have meat added on the breakfast. Let me just remind you this is pandemic rates! And looking at Peter M.'S review on price from 6 years ago- it hasn't moved to much! Even when egg princes have moved from $2/dozen to $4-5/dozen. I stopped in for a meeting and often passed this place but never visited. It's situated at the end of Eagle, just after it changes from Pinebush. The humble diner is situated next to gas station. The parking lot is beaten with faded paint lines and a old fashion sign tells you it's a diner. When you enter, you walk right into the middle of the restaurant where the one server can see you and seat you immediately. What's nice is that the place has about a dozen of tables, a little snug for trollers and walkers but workable. It's just one server for ALL the tables and she was scurrying through. When I arrived 3min late for my meeting, I could see my client waving me in the window- I did not need to go through a whole pack of "security guard " waitresses to get to my table- it's a townie type of vibe. The interior is dated with tables that are functional. You can see the paint slapped on the edge of the black paint, likely to cover the cute messages teenagers left over the years. The chairs are old fashion but not restrictive to your size- you could be plus size and still get your bum into the seats. The portion for two eggs, toast, hash and three pieces of sausage for $7.50 was the same size as the $12 grand slam at Denny's. So it's gigantic. So if you're a little eater, $6 is plenty. What I like is if you ask for something to take away, the server is immediate to substitute it to not rob you of an item. During my dine- I was asked asked how my meal was while coffee was topped off for the other people at the table, and it was a quick hurry in and out as the server navigated around the strollers from the next table, the cute boyfriend and girlfriend and the young at heart friends sitting nearby. I arrived at 9am, bill was paid at 10am, we still meeting chatted right until 10:30am. I'm pretty sure if you had 30min it was possible to be in and out. Truly a hidden gem and for anyone who wants some small time vibe I will definitely return. I used to be a regular at the Fifties but somehow they seem to be some busy, loud and hiked their prices. This place is quant and I can get a nice meeting in, chat about life and the big plans to make it through 2023. Check this place out if you want small time vibes and more. It echos a lovely breakfast place in st. Jacobs but with better prices and fantastic service.

Wow. What a great way place…read more Down to earth, eclectic, great food and truly a great dining experience. Wouldn't change a thing. Love the cozy feeling, the sixties tables, the mismatched plates, the local farm to table suppliers and awesome service.

We stopped by for a quick drink and bite after seeing this place recommended in the Coffee Passport…read morefor K dubs, but unfortunately it ended up being a major letdown. We ordered two iced lattes: raspberry and lavender. They were ok, but nothing particularly memorable regarding the roasted beans they used. The bamboo straws were also frustratingly flimsy and kept breaking, which was especially annoying since the syrups settled at the bottom and you really needed the straws to mix the drinks properly. The major issue was the food service. We ordered a cinnamon bun and the Pregnant Sasquatch sandwich alongside our drinks, then waited nearly 30 minutes while watching people who ordered after us receive their food. When I finally went up to ask, it turned out the cashier had forgotten to send our order to the kitchen. This was stressful since we had an appointment in Toronto later in the afternoon. The cinnamon bun was then handed to us, which was sitting on the counter the whole time. Another 15 minutes later, a staff member came over to tell us they had run out of the artisan bun for the sandwich, so we had to choose an alternative. At that point, after all the delays and confusion, it honestly felt like some kind of compensation would've been appropriate. I ended up switching to sourdough bread. After waiting yet another 10 minutes, I asked if we could just cancel the sandwich altogether. The cashier assured us it was coming, and it finally arrived about 5 minutes later. To be fair, when I asked what happened, the cashier explained that they were very busy. But - there wasn't even much of a line when we placed our order, so the explanation didn't really add up. And unfortunately, after nearly an hour of waiting and spending around $30 on drinks and food, the sandwich itself was mid at best, Overall, the experience just didn't live up to the hype, and we probably won't be back.

I have visited this restaurant before, has always been good. My last visit was the kickoff to my…read morebirthday trip to Kingston, and it was exceptional. Really love this place, because Stacked is one of the few breakfast places I've found in Ontario that offer gluten-free pancakes, waffles AND French toast. Most bfast places just offer GF bread, which is nice, but these days, with all the products available, I'll die on the hill that it's just lazy to not offer all menu items GF. Stacked always delivers. I picked up my rental car in Kitchener, and decided to eat breakfast before driving to Kingston. Good choice. It was a Thursday, but there were still a good number of diners eating...usually a sign on a weekday that the place is really good. I started off with the celebration of Cinnabun pancakes. Do you know what a treat that is? I don't eat this stuff at home and these taste like the best cinnamon bun you ever tasted. With the pancake stack, you will also get meat, eggs and potatoes. It's a big meal full of carbs yes, but always good to treat yourself on occasion...life is short! My server was Pratyasha. She is the most friendly and engaging server I've had at this restaurant. It's always nice when the server asks you a few questions and has a little conversation outside of just the food. She shows a genuine interest in her customers and it was much appreciated. Best server I ever had at this chain. She also knew that the sausage was not GF, and I always appreciate when your server knows that about menu items without you having to ask. Makes you feel safer about the food and shows they really care about their customers. The food came out quick and was delicious. The scrambled eggs were not dry and the bacon was so good. Potatoes were perfect as well. The restaurant was clean, including the bathroom and decor was cute. Easy free lot parking too. I'll definitely return. Hope Pratyasha is always my server!

Special mention : Pranjali made our experience even better. She is a great server and a good conversationalist. So we ordered a kiddie meal ( made some substitutes) - a birthday pancake and fries with apple juice. Avocado toasts, coffee, mango lemonade and cinnamon pancakes. For 2 adults, when the arrived on our table it looked like the food was for 5 people lol. Their pancakes are humongous and delicious. I could not finish even one. (A full pancake platter has 3 pancakes) the home fries are seasoned and delicious. They are addictive. Spicy home fries were topped with picked jalapeño, bell peppers and onions, and you can't stop munching on them. Coffee was a total miss. But overall a great place for brunch!
