This is my second time at this location and the food and ambiance was good until it was time to pay. The waiter handed the machine to my boyfriend and when he was about to tap his card to pay, she stopped him and asked him to go back and add a tip. When she noticed he had already added a tip, she said the amount out loud (there are many people seated around us), and then allowed him to continue paying. Before this, our waiter was nice but did not seem to pay much attention to us compared to the people around us. Disappointing experience second time around. read more

Recently, my intern told me about the lobster and shrimp summerfest happening at Red Lobster. She loved it. I, on the other hand, hadn't visited a Red Lobster in years. I had our conversation in the back of my head. While I was in Kitchener, I would pass by this Red Lobster location often. One day, I caved and had lunch here. I had a late afternoon lunch at around 2 pm. I was seated promptly. I remember waiting for an older couple to pass by me. The gentleman looked at my Snoopy t-shirt that I had on, which said, "I'm a dog person," and he said that he was, too. As expected, it's not all that busy at 2 pm for lunch. While looking at the menu, I sipped my Diet Pepsi that I had ordered. I also got buttery warm biscuits. Since I hadn't had these yummy goodies in ages, I inhaled all of them well before my meal came. Oops! I ordered the Caribbean lobster and coconut shrimp. I got broccoli on the side. I had to order from the lobster and shrimp summerfest menu. The Caribbean lobster was delightful. It had little cubes of pineapple and sweet red peppers, with some sort of coconut-infused butter on top. It was easy to get the lobster tail out of its shell and devour it. The coconut shrimp was delicious. I love all things coconut. The shrimp was fresh and perfect. It came with a pina colada-like dipping sauce. It wasn't sweet. It was just right. I wanted to eat a bit healthier, so I kept the broccoli as the side. It was done right. I enjoyed it. I couldn't order dessert. I was full. This dish was $26. It was decent for the freshness of the seafood that you got. I had a fun conversation with two women at the next table who were visiting from Newfoundland. One of them kept needing to visit the washroom. The other woman was worried that she may be lost. There are single washrooms in two different locations in the restaurant. They both asked their server how to get to St. Jacob's Market. Their server actually came back about five minutes later, sat with them, drew a map, and explained turn-by-turn instructions to both of them. It was highly impressive! I had a different server. I took my mother out to eat here. We got the ultimate feast, garlic shrimp, calamari, a virgin ceasar and extra biscuits I believe. We were seated promptly but right next to another family when there were tons of other seats around. It was my first time trying crab and lobster and oh boy!! I was in for a treat. Everything was excellent. Their biscuits were deliciously buttery. The only thing we weren't fond of was the calamari...it was over battered, not appealing, and just not very tasty. At the end I paid 90 bucks not including a tip. Expensive, and serving sizes are small, but worth it. Great seafood and nice staff. read more

This was the first time my boyfriend and I ever went to a Red Lobster. I have seen their commercials of endless shrimp for years, and was excited to be able to try it out yesterday for lunch. They have six varieties of shrimp to choose from, along with a side. Our favourites were the cheesy and ginger/sesame types. Unfortunately, we stopped at 40 and 45 shrimp counts because it was all too buttery; I wish they include salads. Cheddar biscuits were phenomenal. The server, hostess, and manager were all very nice, and greeted/checked up on us multiple times. They brought out some complimentary birthday ice cream with whipped cream and caramel sauce, which was very nice of them. To be honest, I do not think that I would go for endless shrimp again. Although the shrimp are large, plump, and well cooked, six types with no salad/vegetable is simply too little variety and too much butter for me to handle. Hubby and I usually eat here every year on my birthday. We came again this year after i'd just arrived home from a birthday trip to Cedar Point. I was so tired I forgot to take adequate pix...but I managed to stay awake through dinner, so that was a plus. Our server was the best. She was so nice and friendly. She loved to read and we talked books...I always really enjoy that. She cared...something you don't find in many places these days, and we could feel it. I wish I could remember her name, but I was so out of it and hubby paid, so I don't have the receipt, but she was excellent. I got my usual ultimate feast. I will say that after eating crab legs & shrimp in NOLA, the seafood anywhere else just isn't the same. But my dinner was very good and I enjoyed it immensely. I was informed by the server that she was very sorry, but Red Lobster didn't provide free birthday desserts anymore. I wasn't too upset as it wasn't really my birth DAY but she did all she could to make it a special event. Hey, shame on you Red Lobster for cutting out the birthday dessert and singing. I just may have to break tradition and find a new place to eat next year. I can't give less stars though, because the food and pina colada were so good and our server was just excellent. But to cheap out on a dessert for the price we paid for dinner...not cool. Thanks to (wish I could remember her name) I really enjoyed my bday dinner after arriving home. The cutlery wrapped in the napkins was oily and greasy had to wipe them off myself. The spare plates that were provided for the shells of the lobster and the muscles were also dirty with leftover food particles harden on the plate very disgusting. Just finished eating my ultimate feast and what a disappointment. As a starter I had mussels and they were dry and shrank down to nothing. As for the lobster it was chewy and shrimp looked like the were microwaved. Pure garbage. To top it all off my wife had cajun chicken pasta and it was watery and chicken was still pink in the middle and slimy. Awful. I've never been here before but everyone always says it's so good so we finally decided to go. Maybe because it's the only one around but wow, do they have low standards! We went with a group of 9 (we made reservations a week before). They gave us two waitresses which seemed quite unnecessary but even two of them took forever to even take our food order. They made mistakes which they said was our fault for confusing them, a lot of the food was cold, the kids meal pasta was KD, the "spicy" food I ordered was alfredo sauce with no spice, and it's expensive! I always come to Red Lobster for my 'special occasion' dinners. This time it was for my birthday and as usual, I was not disappointed. We went early 4:45pm, because I KNOW when you show up to any Red Lobster location at a more traditional dinner time (6-7pm) you're in for a wait. Being as we were there early, the restaurant was not busy. Our server was friendly and prompt and the food came quickly and was delicious. I must say that they've really improved their Caesar salad in the last while. It used to be tasteless and brutal (one of the only things I didn't like about Red Lobster), but lately they've changed it. The dressing is more tasty and they have added chunks of cheese on top, which are lovely. This time we chose to order their Endless Shrimp special, which I must say is great value for the money. If you ever have room for dessert (which I almost never do, ESPECIALLY after endless shrimp), I definitely recommend ordering the key lime pie. It's tangy and sweet and the perfect end to a delicious seafood meal. We'll definitely be back for our next special occasion dinner! read more

I am so sorry that I spent my money and wasted my time on such place. I was having the misconception of Red Lobster from 90, but I was so wrong. For a seafood restaurant which is not be able to serve you decent fried calamari is not acceptable. It was lobster feast but was more like the funeral of a lobster. Tonight my girlfriend's family and myself went to Red Lobster for my girlfriends mom's birthday, I was intrigued to go for I've not been befor and the reviews that the family had been giving me made it seem like I would definitely enjoy it. Unfortunately that was not the case tonight for we arrive around 6:30 and didn't end up leaving till about 8:45 almost an hour waiting appetizers in about 45 minutes for everything else, it wasn't til we actually got our meal that we demanded to speak to a manager, I believe her name was Patty. She told us that she was sorry and she would have kept more of an eye on the floor but she thought it would be a better decision for her to stay back in the kitchen where she had no experience in being at all. She then went on to tell us that it was super busy before we arrived because everyone went and saw Jerry Seinfeld and half the stadium must have came to Red Lobster, she asured us that her staff would tell people that it would be a while of a weight , we were not told this and as well not one waiter told a single person as they came in. We ordered two orders of the deal they have on Thursdays as well as a separate meal none of which came out to be satisfactory as the broccoli was colder than the ice cream at desserts and the food was clearly sloppily put together in overcooked though the manager tried to reimburse us it was not enough to keep me satisfactory unfortunately this was my first and might just be my last time at Red Lobster read more

Will never go to this location again! Our waitress Kyla was extremely rude and humiliated us in front of a bunch of people. Me and my wife ordered Endless shrimp.The table beside us had also ordered the Endless shrimp platter. The ladies had their fill and asked for a To-Go dish. The waitress happily gave it to them and even offered them some fresh garlic shrimps to top them off. I was full but my wife wanted to eat another platter. The service is outstanding. My wife usually goes for the Admiral's feast or the all you can eat shrimp dinners. And I always go for the steak cooked to perfection mouth watering and succulent. I usually get my dinner with french fries. If I had any pet peeve there's only one unfortunately Red Lobster does not do sauteed mushrooms as a side dish for your steak dinners. Which to me is a huge mistake on their part because sauteed mushrooms go awesome with any steak dinner and to me I should be a stable. Something they need to work on and to offer it as a side dish with steak or any other dish for that matter. We usually start off with a caesar salad which is absolutely outstanding and their homemade biscuits are so good you can hardly stop yourself from eating more and more of them. I have one of their pet peeve they used to do a homemade potato soup which they have sent stop making this was a huge mistake on their part that potato soup was absolutely outstanding. There was a large group (16) there to celebrate New Years. We were split into 4 tables which was not conducive to being able to talk to each other. The room was so cold that we had to keep our coats on. The food that came on hot plates quickly cooled because of the draft from the window. I ordered a 4 course special. The lobster bisque was very good as was the Caesar salad. As always, the buns are a draw at Red Lobster. However, the main course of shrimp linguini alfredo was mediocre at best. The sauce was watery and the shrimp were very tiny. I have had better and paid a lot less. My biggest complaint however, is that we were there for 3 hours. At times I wondered where our servers were. They were gone for such long periods of time. The experience was not worth the time or money. I will be hard pressed to go to this restaurant again. read more

As displaced East-Coasters, Red Lobster has been a family mainstay. Sadly, this location has been a real let down the last several occasions we have eaten there. The food is always hot, and overcooked. Food that should be tender is dry and flaky (the crab), or greasy (haddock) and more often than not, drowned in copious amounts of butter killing subtle flavors and making the food almost unbearable to eat. The last three visits have made me wish I hadn't gone while enduring gut wrenching distress. The prices are fair and inline with restaurants of the same type. The average meal f or two, with appetizer and entree runs about $50-60. The food is plentiful, and you won't go home hungry unless you have a tape worm. That said, I fully recommend this restaurant to anyone who thinks butter is a dish dish or vegetable, anyone who doesn't like fish or sea food and to all those who love sitting on the toilet making appeals to the porcelain goddess of regret. Well, we went to the Red Lobster for dinner tonight - and once again we were disappointed. I ordered the Grilled Lobster, shrimp skewer, and scallops dish for 28.99. What a disaster. The baked potato (side dish) was crusted in salt, and to me the best part is the skin - so that ended that. - The Atlantic lobster tail was literally dripping an orange oil, tasted strange (?) and was chewy and miserably overcooked, never mind being really small. The shrimp skewer was flattened, swimming in salty oil and overcooked or twice cooked? The scallops - oh my - I have never had such atrocious scallops in my life. Small - Tough, chewy with a leathery outer skin. Simply disgusting and I spat them out. You could have bounced them off the walls they were so rubbery. The appetizer I had chosen was the Seafood stuffed mushrooms. I expected alot more flavour than I got. Also, the clam chowder which for years was a favourite of mine, was thin and had almost nothing in it apart from cubed potato. My dinner partner however did well. She ordered the escargot to start - small but delicious, and the crab linguini alfredo - a huge dish and also very delicious. - Be prepared to take it home for three more lunches though! Since this is the third time I have been served overcooked dreadful lobster here this is the last time. Having checked the nutrition data oline however, I was not prepared to go on dialysis come Monday for salt poisoning from getting the delicious and rich Linguini. Unfortunately many of our favourite restaurants were getting ready to close so the choice was limited to this or a fast food place and we were hungry. As it was, I thought I ordered carefully, and ate carefully and still managed to consume twice the daily recommended dose of sodium. This restaurant probably has the UNhealthiest food anywhere, so overloaded with salt and fat and grease - it's almost toxic. Even the broccoli (side dish) was highly salted. We have not been to Red Lobster in a few years, but my husband and our son love seafood, and Red Lobster. We tried it again for our son's birthday. It was amazing! I have never had salmon so perfectly cooked! Wonderful! Moist and scrumptious! All of our meals were perfect. From the taco's stuffed with shrimp, to the Norway salmon with a lobster shrimp sauce.
