I am a Williams Chicken fan. They are one of my top two favorite places for fried chicken. I reckon I have been a loyal foodie regular for the past ten years since moving to the DFW area. This particular location is conveniently located in my area when I am running errands, it's a few miles from my home, but worth a few extra minutes drive. What I really appreciate these days is that their prices haven't completely gone through the food shortage roof. Which is helpful. I cannot even remember the last time I saw a package of boneless chicken in the supermarket. Trying times indeedy. When I roll up and order my favorite two or three piece chicken breast and it's under $10, I just feel so happy. Especially when I bite into their juicy & tender chicken. Yup. It's the little things that make me happy. Now, because this company does have a loyal fan base, sometimes their drive through window line is a couple cars deep. I have become a huge fan of Williams Fried Chicken. We've eaten there now numerous times and at two different locations that both seem to be equal in quality. God I love Williams Fried Chicken. the Fried Chicken itself is definitely in the upper echelon of what I have experienced in my life when it comes to Fried Chicken. the side dishes are mostly good, I like their corn on the cob, onion rings but I am not as enthusiastic about their mashed potatoes or dinner rolls.... but don't get distracted here it's all about the Fried Chicken which you must eat.... The Williams Fried Chicken on Ft. Worth Avenue has always been our favorite store. Perhaps it's because we grew up in Irving, and were able to feed our Williams Chicken craving quite easily. Now we live over 20 miles away from this location. So when the opportunity arises, and we're able to pick up Chicken and all the yummy sides, we'll happily wait for our name to be called so we can take the hot, juicy Chicken and sides home, to share with our family and friends. Well that was until today, the order today has me so disappointed. Chicken and sides were ordered, waiting in the car began, expecting the bag of the yummy Chicken to be delivered any time. It was a longer wait than expected considering there was one car that arrived before me, and one after. Finally after waiting over 25 minutes for a family pack the knock on the window came and Chicken was in my possession. The Chicken arrived home still quite warm, as well as the sides. The food was quickly dished out and plates with the heavenly Chicken was distributed. Then... the Chicken was dry!! I've never had that happen before, not ever from this Williams location. Store on Fort Worth Avenue Dallas. Several menu items on homemade signs with no prices all over front and side windows. Menu board has prices for several items including FAMILY CHICKEN ONLY and FAMILY CHICKEN DINNER . On paying my family dinner was $9 more than what the sign says. Waiter said that is for chicken and roll. I said that's considered dinner and it costs that much to add rolls? Mr. Hiawatha Williams would be upset at how outrageous this establishment has become. Really wanted some fried chicken and they were open. I'm from Colorado, so I am not familiar with this local chain. You have to wait in line to order at the window, and I was in line for 20 minutes with 2 cars ahead of me. I wanted mashed potatoes instead of fries. And was told i couldn't do that, so i order a separate side. Chicken was dry and the workers did not want to be there and were very rude. read more

This is the closest Williams chicken to me so I decide to come here occasionally . The only complaint I have is the wait is usually at least 20 minutes here & their stinginess with their dressing . Lol . Every time I come here I ask them for ranch dressing and tell them it's okay if they charge me extra for it(since I already know how they are with it ) . Tonight it was ridiculous. I ordered 20 hot wing pieces and large fries and corn fritters with 6 rolls . They literally gave me three ranch dressing packets . I love the hot wings even though they do take an extra 10 minutes to cook and they always will make you park for them which is no problem as they are being made fresh. If you go late night and they park you for your order and they forgot something or messed it up you will have to get in drive thru line AGAIN and wait at least another 15 minutes at that point to get your order right . I love Williams Fried Chicken, but this is an absolutely horrible location. Horrible. Got home and the chicken and fries were doused with so much seasoning salt I couldn't eat the fries. Never had this at any other Williams location. The chicken pieces were much smaller than those I've gotten from other Williams locations and so fatty. I tried just peeling off the skin and eating the chicken with the biscuit. The soda was in an 8 oz generic cup, again not like the other locations which use larger branded cups. It was watered down cola. Waste of money. Had to throw it in the trash, rather than making myself sicker. Next time I am running errands in the area, I will make sure to skip this place. read more

I drive past this location daily headed home from work. Decided i would give it a try. That was a mistake. When i pulled up to the window to place my order i was "greeted" by someone speaking Spanish and hardly any English. Once we finally understood each other i ordered a three piece combo. The drink was 8 oz up filled with ice and a small amount of soda. I was finally given my order and got home to eat. Was i disappointed when i opened the box to see three small burnt pieces of chicken with no meat. I tried to call and got frustrated because the person i got on the phone played the i don't speak English game. Avoid this place. read more
