    Fried okra
    Wendy B.

Definitely not as good as in years past, unfortunately. That said, the French onion soup was excellent - sweet onions with a lot of flavor, the fried okra was even better. Fresh, hot, crispy, and perfectly salty, and the basket of fresh bread had a wide variety and it was all warm. Our server was outstanding. We had a party of 9 and he was on top of it the whole time we were there. Otherwise, the fried catfish was more breading than fish, it was hot but on the soft, almost soggy side, and over cooked. The chicken fried steak also wasn't great. The blueberry cobbler was cold and tasted stale. They did have decaf that tasted reasonably fresh but it wasn't hot.

I returned hoping I'd have a better experience but the food is still bland. Maybe I'm ordering the wrong items. I ordered the fried chicken breast with gravy, broccoli, mashed potatoes and they weren't flavorful. It was disheartening but the service was wonderful. Our server was so patient because we had a big party with kids. The best part of lunch was the bread basket. Parking can be challenging but if you go at the right time it wont be too crowded.

We went for lunch and it was very busy. We were a party of four and were promptly seated. The wait staff was very nice and helpful. It took a very long time to get our order. I had the pork chop with salad, mashed potatoes, and mixed squashes. The pork chop was a bit dry.

We went to the Flight Museum and since Celebration was nearby and has been on my "want to go" list for a while, we went there for lunch. There was about a 15-20 minute wait, but the bar area was available. We sat at the bar and ate. It was such a friendly relaxed atmosphere. The bartenders/servers were are very friendly and helpful. All of our meals were delicious and we were all happy that we made the decision to have lunch there. The menu is quite extensive and they have a nice, well stocked bar. Definitely a spot I would like to go back to, to try other dishes. The restaurant is pretty large, with lots of little rooms, and there is a nice, large outdoor eating area. Parking is convenient.

Location Just off Inwood and West Lovers lane-University Park area of Northwest Dallas. Parking Large-very large open lot. Atmosphere Family restaurant-numerous private rooms Seating Bar, tables, private rooms. Service Outstanding-we had a super large group-16+ and our servers expertly handled it in a personable and friendly manner. Menu Specials-farm to table fresh-listing local farms and food. A variety of rolls were served-moist and corn filled corn bread, nut muffins, rolls. Butter in packs available-did nothing t taste salty-sweet and tum! We had the rosemary salmon-cooked perfectly-yum! The grilled salmon with almonds was so tender and moist! Did not need tartar sauce-the lemon was enough. The shrimp and grits were beautiful and delish! Dinners served with salad or soup-we had salad-served family style. Serged individual dressing on salad plates. Honey mustard was popular-I had the blue cheese-creamy, not chunky. Dessert was coconut cream pie-so good-we ordered more. Also shared the peach cobbler ala mode. . It was so delish that although we were sharing it, my friend finished it before I could get a second bite! Summary Great location, outstanding farm fresh menu! Love the private room!! Will have to bring my husband back to try! See you there!!

What a wonderful experience we had at Celebration. We had reservations for seven guests and we were seated in our own private room at a round table that could seat eight. We experienced some of the best service and most friendly service you could imagine. This is a farm to table restaurant and everything we all ordered was fabulous. Most of their entrées were unbelievably priced at under $20. The vegetables are served family style and you get to choose three so by consensus we decided on the three that we would order. We ordered mashed potatoes, new potatoes, and broccoli. All the vegetables were cooked perfectly with just a touch of firmness and my personal peeve is broccoli that is so overcooked that is mushy. This was not that. And we actually ended up getting squash as well. I ordered the pot roast which was a very generous portion. The meat was so tender and juicy and served with several pieces of carrot, onion and a generous side of Au Jus. my entrée was also accompanied by either a soup, salad or fruit cup. I ordered the salad and it was fresh with no hint of being wilted and a balsamic vinaigrette dressing which was delicious. And remember this was all under $20. We ordered three different desserts and shared them, the peach cobbler served warm with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, the bread pudding which was our least favorite yet still delicious, and coconut cream pie. I can't wait to revisit this restaurant in the future.

I realize you can order dips and casseroles from catering, but my question is can I order just 1?? I was told you have to order a minimum of 6 , so I can order just 1 of something?

Hi Louise, you can order 1 (or more) casseroles in small or large. The minimum of 6 is required on individual servings of casserole for delivery. Please find the "Market Favorites" on the catering order page and you will see the casseroles to order… Read more

If the market is closed now, how can we order just 1 spinach dip or corn dip, 1 casserole, etc? On the catering site, it seems there is a minimum of 6? Can we not just order 1 of something anymore?

Hi Louise, you can still purchase dips on the Catering page under "Market Favorites." These items need to be ordered by 3 pm for next day pickup. Hope this helps, thank you!

Is there plans to bring back the "Meal for 2" and "Meal for 4" options in the future? What about the Chicken St. Caroline, artichoke dip, spinach dip, chips, sweets, and the nice ladies working there?

Hi Adam, Celebration Market permanently closed in June 2024. With the closure, we are no longer offering the meal for 2 or 4. However, we still offer many of the Market items through Catering to be picked up at the Restaurant. Hope this helps.

Do they have a kids menu?

    We sure do!

What is the thanksgiving special and when are they ready for preorders?

First up, the pirogies--holy moly, these little pockets of joy were just unreal. Perfectly soft, stuffed to the brim, and fried up just right. I'm pretty sure if my tasted these, she'd give a polite nod and say, "Not bad, eh?" Then came the pot roast poutine, and let me tell ya--this isn't just food, it's a life experience. You've got those crispy fries, squeaky cheese curds (as they should be, eh!), and gravy so rich it could probably pay rent in Toronto. And then--BAM--tender pot roast on top. I nearly stood up and sang "O Canada," no joke. Now the Canadian Eggs Benedict? Ohhh, beauty. The peameal bacon was thick, juicy, and cooked just right, sittin' pretty under those poached eggs with hollandaise sauce that was smoother than a fresh sheet of ice. Absolute perfection, eh. And don't even get me started on the everyday breakfast. Classic, hearty, and no funny business--just how we like it. Eggs done right, toast that actually tastes like toast (imagine that!), and portions big enough to fuel ya through a full day of shovelin' snow... or, you know, strolling around Dallas. All in all, Maple Leaf Diner absolutely crushed it. Let me tell ya, the service was so fast and smooth, I thought I was dreaming eh. Great food, friendly vibes, and enough Canadian charm to make ya wanna say "sorry" when someone else bumps into you. 10/10, would recommend--now pass the syrup, eh?

Often times after it's all said & done, you wonder - was that worth it? Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

Knowledgeable about the menu & great recommendations. Kev was a joy to have as our server. The food is amazing & love the ambiance of the restaurant. My only complaint...we came in early Saturday prior to Stars game. The restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were asked if we had a reservation. We did not, the restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were asked to wait. Waited maybe 5-10mins. No biggie, A lot of open tables were available for immediate sit down. Again that wasn't a big deal. I had asked for a booth & wanted to sit in front room. The hostess said no a problem. She handed us off to a younger hostess and she took us to a table. I told her I had requested a booth. In the front room only 3 tables were occupied. I pointed out the booth and she said that's for party of 6. However, we could have the 1/2 table/booth. Made absolutely no sense because that was for a party of 6 as well. I made this comment & she just stared at me without saying a word. I didn't want to seem difficult and took the table as she just walked away. Kev was confused as we were. No good communication skills. It was an awkward encounter. The restaurant wasn't busy at all & never was whole time there. Kev wasn't sure why she didn't move us a requested & was puzzled himself. However i apologized to him & explained I wasn't trying to be difficult, but prefer booth sitting and most times we will wait for one. We left at 1:45p and restaurant was no busier than when we arrived. Reservation/Booth or not! I guess saying all of this, your front staff need to have more people skills when dealing with your customers. They are the face and first point of contact. Again Kev was amazing & food was outstanding!
